Man that was an old ass post. I still stick with the premise though. I like to keep my coco wet all the time. At most I let the top inch dry up. I personally don't see any slowdown after transplant, but I do it very carefully so as not to disrupt the roots. Joey's got the hang for sure and already finished some fire bud. Looking forward to the next round.
Yes sir. Lol. That was the plan. Since then I have gone down to flowering in 3 gal pots since doing more research in Coco and I love the 3 gal. They can get pretty big in small containers in Coco. This time I went from solo cup to 1 gal to the final 3 gal. In doing it both ways I honestly think what's best for me is to go solo cup until roots are nice and full and then straight to 3 gal. To me it's best of both worlds because it's less transplant and if the roots are developed the 3 gal is not too big at all and they find the walls fast

I agree I don't like my coco to dry too much and that's almost impossible with huge pots with small roots without getting waterlogged. Most people overlook in the thread that I actually hat to DOWN pot into 3 gal because of overwatering symptoms and j flowered in those 3 gal. This time I went solo to 1 gal to 3 gal. They filled up the 1 gal pots so fast tho I'm thinking solo cup until an ice thick root system is in place then to 3 gal. This is the fun of it all tho. Learning what works best for your situation.

I think what he's saying is if you are using a big pot it will take a lot more solution (water,nutrients...) to saturate the entire pot and if there is no roots in 3/4 of the pot those nutes are going to waste. I think it's all on personal situation. If you're issue is not the amount of nutes you want to waste but you want to not deal with transplant then it probably would be smart to get in one pot and let them fill it out from the start. All this discussion and banter is the only way we learn tho. I love it

Do you top feed bro? I'm going to get an automated system hooked up to keep a more consistent moisture level. Looking for. Examples from other coco growers for the best option. I definitely want to have multiple reservoirs since I plan on having multiple strains. Even now my Jack Herer is a way lighter feeder than my white widow
