I have several $k in my set up.. So know I take it very seriously.
But you got to relax and have fun...
and be willing to fail, to succeed..
It can be scary, but very rewarding !!!!
Also on the senual side,, lmao..
it does correspond to raising our own children..
every day aint the dream,
hurdles happen,
and that is when we grow the most..

Now to sound like the hippy...

Become one with your plants,
sync your schedule and theirs together..
Play them a lil rap/rock/blues/country/
because only when we know a lil of everything can we appreciate anything.....

And lastly, I havent spent a dollar on weed in a long time now, and
every time I reup,,,,,,,,,,
lol by going to the refrigerator,,,,,
its always bomb ass Purple Urkle!
and no bullshit fluffy airy scorched ass nugs

You can achieve by lst. Many diff ways. We are working on trimming certain fan leaves to even canopy.. I have some youngsters that will be of age in a couple weeks, prob less and we will start this training. There is a couple others here getting ready to follow suit.. So you get to watch it go down....
Also yea I have a couple tops I think might shoot out past the others. I will be trying the 2 top fan leaves when the time comes if it's before the stripping and they need it

Are they already past it?
I won't let them shoot way past. I could just tell by how they look. Lol. Like hey mother f***er I'm bout to jump out the sky on ya! Hahah. I have plenty of head space tho so it's a balancing act between trimming some if need be but more so getting the short plants propped up to the top. I'd rather adjust the height of the shorts more and let them all thrive and less inhibiting the growth of others. If that makes sense. Lol

The real goal here is internodal stretching too... I like my nodes to form into buds that group for big colas.. too much stretch hinders that... Prob more strain/pheno dependant...
Using trimming to slow stretch in stretch will be very beneficial since i dont have a lot of head room...
The cool thing is you will get to see pretty quick what things you do, and the effects they will have..

Yes definitely. That's the main thing. Trying things out and seeing how they react. All part of honing the skills and gaining experience. Like you said in a previous post, sometimes we fail. But if we're doing it right those failures aren't really failures. If we learn from it it's a victory. Everything I do is for the long haul. The future. This is chess not checkers. Lol. At least for me

that works plucking the top leafs anything that has a petiole, just pull it away.. idid it to the 93 afghan one top was 3" taller than the other now they are even. hah great tool to even a canopy out and it works.

saw it for my self.

chris.

That is all exactly how I feel! 100%

Happy 4th all!
I like the leaf plucking idea to even canopy too. Will try to incorporate it when ready.
Something bit a branch off of my sour urkel last night. It was big enough to be a clone, in fact I thought about sticking it in water but I was in a hurry and I thought it's been sitting here dying for who knows how long. I'm thinking a rat since it seemed too big for a bug to just bite through. Whatever it was must not have liked the taste because it didn't chew on it any more, just one clean bite. I put a trap out there so maybe we'll see tonight. It's got me worried. I'll probably go out and put some diatomaceous earth on just in case.

bird

Good catch, I didn't think of that. I could put some netting that I already have to keep them out. I had it all netted over but recently I noticed that some of the excess tangled up so I tried to cut it off. Then I noticed my mistake when it blew off a little and there is a 2 foot by 8 foot section where they can get in now. I was thinking maybe birds will help to keep other bugs down. Should I cover it back up?

well all depends

I would say put some silica in your feed or even if you are just using water only
get some silica and feed yhem silica with every watering
that will strengthen the plant and the leaf so bugs wont as easily bite through

Cool thanks. I think I'll leave it open for now and if I see any more damage I'll block the birds. I'll check out some silica too. I've never used it before but it seems like a lot of people do. Hopefully he didn't enjoy the destruction and decide to come back for more. I'm off to a friends house for some bbq and fireworks. Enjoy the holiday.

you as well

as for silica
probably the best and cheapest would be Dyna-gro or GH
very concentrated
and with silica it works by building it up in the tissue cant just be one application
it is a continual thing
but it really does help alot

How long do you run your silica thru flower? My nute schedule says run it thru flower but last round I cut it at about week 5-6 I figured all thru veg and half of flower it had built up in the cells?

Girls are still fillin out. It's a great feeling when I'm just working around the Grow and the watering kicks on. Waters. Perfect runoff each plant. Kicks off. I'm not needed. Life is beautiful. Hahaha
