So, I finally got to taste some perfectly ripe Banana Ice Cream.

The flavor isn't quite there yet because it needs a couple weeks of cure but it's been dried enough to smoke. These nugs truly live up to Holy Smoke's description.

"Structure crystal production and effect meet in a Shangri-La of cannabis strains banana milkshake cookies and cream is the best description."

My description is "You bought the ticket, now take the ride." This weed is "Oh SHIT!" strong. I smoked .5g in my bong and 15min later I'm doing the Tim Conway walk around my trailer sputtering gibberish and running into walls. I'm not exaggerating either. When I smoked I felt an immediate mellow wave of euphoria and thought" This is very nice. I really like this buzz." About ten minutes later the first creep wave hit, then another, and another, and another, etc... for a good 30-45 I grew increasingly high. Around 20min and I was hanging onto a door frame wishing I had smoked less.

I'll remember to take it easy when I try the next two BICs.

Their pic...

My pic...

...I think I did it right, hehehe.

Nah, not this time. I've barely been scraping together enough for canning supplies and couldn't spare the $10 for peroxide. Still have to buy more mason jars and Boveta packs.

My first female nanner is poking out it's little head on BIC#4. Too small to get a pic yet but will do when I can get a good one.

Hey @jumpincactus, @justiceman, @FarmerP, or anyone else, do you know of a good thread on pollen containment of selfs? I have some ideas but I'd llike to see what others with more experience have come up with before I start making my own containers. Any thread on containing a single pollen branch will do. I need to control where it goes so I know which beans are which when I harvest and to keep them from crossing where I don't want them. I also need to find out how big the pollen particles are so I know how fine of screens to use. I'm sure I can find that information on my own but you may know better resources. Thank you very much.

I harvested the BIC#2 yesterday evening. Sorry, I didn't get pics. It was a last minute decision and I didn't have my phone with me. I do have pics if the flowers that I took earlier in the day. I'll post those up in a little while.

ROFL, I'm subbed on yours too brother. As soon as I have time again, I'll look around and see who I need to catch up on. Though I'm pretty good about checking my notifications.

Oh, and I'm nowhere near done. I have 5-8 weeks left on the tent, trimming and kief, rosin and vape cartridges, finish building my deck and drying/grow room, mini indoor tent(s), may bonsai a living room mother, and planning and building my solar & automated grow (I'm sticking with soil. All the others I've seen are hydro. Too many things to go wrong. If I ever do hydro it'll be one or two plants in my living room like a water feature, hahaha.)

What I can get done and how long it takes depends on how much money I can generate or things I can get in trade. I'm always up to something.

Too bad there ain't a weed button on Amazon.

Pwaaahahahaha!

Nice to see most of the harvest down! I’m about halfway. Just cut the Afgooey and Blueberry Gum #2 today. I wish I could provide some advice on pollen containment but I have not delved into that section of growing. Hopefully someone else chimes in with some good info.

It's Christmas in Potville!

Worst case scenario, I'll have something about it when I'm done. I have some ideas but wanted to see if someone else had better ones.

Thanks anyhoo.

I've never tried to store pollen, but I think the key is to keep it dry. I seem to remember someone saying to dry out some rice and put some in there as a desiccant. Great job on the grow this summer and good luck on the indoors. Mine sort of crashed and burned quantity wise, but I learned a lot and still have some pretty good nugs to get me through. :smoking: I been studying a lot about NPK ratios and what they should be at different points in the grow. There are some differences of opinion but I'm getting some good ideas.

Yeah, adding rice sounds like it would work or silica gel packs. I think I remember reading something about keeping it cool but above 40F, can't remember for sure. My issue is trying to get the nanners to maturity while keeping them from pollinating near by flowers. If I only had one type of pollen I'd just let it blow willy-Billy but I have two types of pollen that I want applied to 4 specific zones so I know what the seeds will be from those locations. I'll be hand brushing the pollen onto specific flower sets.

The preadjusting of NPK while considering the differing needs of each strains seems nearly impossible to me. I don't know that I'll ever be able to be anything more than reactionary with adjustments. I've noticed that each strains needs will even change with temperature shifts. They only way I see preemptive NPK adjustments being possible is within a controlled environment. But if anyone can pull it off it's probably you.

@stiffneck posted a pic of some kief he collected in some cool little jars and that got me jones'n for jars. So I used some Kmart bonus points I had stored up to wipe them out of all the normal clear widemouth mason jars they had left. Then started to work on their topaz jars. They have some really cool, heavy, low profile, pint jelly bean jars the dispensaries use that I'm going to work on buying out next. I normally clean them out of quart Ball widemouth jars since they're $3 cheaper than Amazon, but they're close to going out of business and corporate hasn't been restocking the stores. That's why I'm paying last years prices, hehe. They have these flats of half pint mason jars I want because they hold a half zip and that's the sise my co-op people make most of their orders in. I would love to switch over to using all topaz jars because they help protect the weed from light degradation but I'll have to add a $1-$3 service fee for them since they're almost 3x the price of clear. I'm going to keep going back and using my points to finish off their stock. (I scored with the half gallon pickle jar. They never have those in stock. I wonder where it came from.)

I love cool jars and can always find a use for them.

Oh, no, it ain't nothin around here. We talked about my flowers.

The local Kmart is actually setting up a "Growers Supply" section. There are palettes in the middle of the isles loaded with bins and displays with exam gloves and alcohol. Last year the canning supply expanded out of the cooking isle into the main isle. There were stacks and stacks of Mason jars everywhere. They even had sets of Fiskars trimming shears on display in several locations.

Medical growing has been legal here for 22yrs and it's been 100% legal under state law for almost 2yrs. My community has been growing for generations. It's my understanding that we produce and export more weed than Humboldt County.
