Thanks supa I think it was a combination of what you said, possible potassium bicarbonate buildup and a little bit of radiant heat stress was the problem. In anycase I watered them a while ago with just R/O and molasses (for the herd) and the leaf fringe curl is gone.

Day 26(week 3 & 5 days)
Hey everyone the leaf fringe curl I talked about is going away because I have just been using straight water since the last tea so it was definitely some type of toxic salt build up probably coupled with some heat stress as well.

Everything is going just fine at the moment though. My Green Cush seem to be 2x as vigorous then the grandaddy. I have done all the same things to them. I assume that the grandaddy is a little more temperamental but she is coming along at her own pace. The last water I gave them was R/O and molasses(to feed the herd).

I may start flowering these girls in a couple days with a 600w. Thinking about either getting a Lumatek or a Next Gen any suggestions on what digi I should get?

I LSTed the GC so that canopy could be more consistent as they were much taller then the GD. I am always open to comments and suggestions. Enjoy the pics!

Grandaddy in the front, Green Cush in the back

Just had to give a close up of this Grandaddy. She seeks the light fellow brethren

Lights out. For some reason my camera is being a bit shotty with the color. It's and old 4 mega pixel cannon power shot. Pretty decent but bare with me. For some reason when I take a farther shot it still leaves a redish tint to the picture, but when I do a close up it's different because the flash is concentrated.

Nice way to bounce back bro! Def time to flip the switch. BTW Are you using LED's currently? The Picts are hard to see the true colors of the girls...

Sorry I am using 400w HPS and my camera doesn't have any special settings. It is an old 4 mega pixel cannon power shot. Ill be sure to take a picture when the lights turn off, but it still doesn't give the best color.
EDIT: I put some normal pictures on the above post.

Ya I am quite happy with how they are doing. Can't wait to see what I get off of them. Trying to decide what 600w digi I should get, I have heard good things about Next Gen and Quantum. I have a lumatek 400w, and its great but I heard the higher wattage lumateks have problems with high end lamps like hortilux.

Thanks green. Ya I just noticed that on my earlier post I put 3 weeks and 5 days. I lied on accident. I meant to put 2 weeks and 5 days, because I started those girls on November 16th.

Day 24

Okay guys. It's end of day 24 into vegetation If you didn't see my earlier post I will remind you that my last journal entrey stated day 26 but it was actually day 18 because they were started on November 16th sorry for the mess up. It is now time to move into the flowering phase. Earlier on I ran into what I believe to have been a lack of calcium and magnesium but I have fixed it. I started to get some necrotic spots on a few GD leaves and a little bit of interveinal chlorosis along with some slight yellowing. The symptoms have stopped their progression after I added some cal mag to the regiment. I will provide some pictures of the Deficiency. The Good news is the GC are doing very well, and have exploded with growth. Since the GC have gotten so tall I have decided to induce flowering. I recently picked up a 600w Galaxy with a Hortilux lamp. It is much brighter then my 400w and has a much greater lumen dispersion rate. The 600w Galaxy ballast itself seems to run just as cool as my 400w lumatek ballast! Very satisfying indeed. One thing I would like to point out(some people probably already know) is that running a 600w at 12/12 pulls the same amount of power as a 400w at 18/6.
600w x 12h = 7200w
400w x 18h = 7200w
So using a 600w for flower doesn't really bring your costs up accept for the actual purchase of the ballast and lamp. However using it doesn't bring your energy costs down as would using a 400w for 12/12 but the yield is supposed to be much greater with a 600w so its a better choice.
On a side note It seems that I have a few Gnats flying around. I think I am just going to use some Gnatrol(Bacillus thuringiensis israelensis) to get rid off those little buggers. Here is a last day picture of vegetation Enjoy!

Last vegetation picture.
(note: I didn't do a lot of feeding during this veg period as there was enough food in the soil. I only used one Roots brew, but obviously the brews will be more frequent for flowering)

Deficiency picture
(note: she has greened up since then, and looks a lot happier. the deficiency did end up progressing a littler further then this picture but I am quite sure the deficiency is mostly dealt with)

They are doing just fine and loving the 600w! I gave them a feeding about 3 days ago.

It consisted of:
(3 gallons of r/o water)
Big buddah grow 10ml
Big budda bloom 15ml
Extreme serene 10ml
Trinity 15ml
Ancient amber 45ml
Hp2 20ml
hpk 10ml
molasses 5ml

I brewed it for about 48 hours(PH was at aroun 3.9 to 4.0 when i mixed the ingredients in the tea) I added molasses about 24 hours into the brew to help with bacteria growth because the fungi were obviously dominating. As a result the ph raised up to 7 lol! Bacteria sure doesn't mess around. So before I fed to my plants I brought it down to 6.5 with some citric acid. I'll make sure to monitor it closely so I don't have to adjust at all.

Day 6 flower
Hey everyone thought I would just show you some growth progression. So far some pistils are starting to form but not much yet. Well it's only day 6 so i can't expect much yet of course.

My new picture technique is taking a picture right when the light starts to turn on, because it puts out a blue light for a few seconds before it starts to turn orange redish. My camera doesn't have any fancy white meter or options like that. It still uses SD cards haha.

Day 14 flower

Hey hope everyone is going to have a good Christmas! I have an update for you guys. I am week 2 into flowering, and things are going quite well. Earlier on I ran into what I believed to be a Mg deficiency, so I foliar sprayed with liquid karma last week, and then I sprayed with Earth Juice micro blast this week. Fortunately I curbed the deficiency because the newest growth is greening up again. Just to be sure I got some cannazym(enzyme product like hygrozyme) and gave them a brew of Cannazym, Liquid Karma, Micro blast, Cal mag, and some light vegan compost tea. I watered with that in order to break up any dead roots and unlock some nutrients trapped in the soil as well as provide the missing trace minerals, and some light food. Next watering will be a heavier fertilizer because now that I covered up the Mg deficiency the girls are starting to tell me they need a little more nitrogen so I am going to up the Roots dosage. Tell me what you guys think! comments and suggestions appreciated.

Earlier photos of the deficiency progressing. It did progress a little further then that as in a bit more interveinal chlorosis and yellowing, but I was able to stop it. I can tell because the newest growth isn't coming out as yellow as before. It's greening up. the Liquid Karma and Micro blast are good to have on hand.

Those plants are looking good justiceman. How do you like the tent?

Oh i love the tent! I use to have to use a 2 x 5 closet. The spread on my HPS wasn't being utilized because of the closet only being 2 ft deep. I also like how the tent has multiple vents. It's like a quick put together grow room. Highly recommended if you have some extra money and don't feel like constructing a room or you feel like sectioning off a room.

So I know its only been a few days since my last post but I recently figured out that my camera does in fact have a white balance meter. It is not as good as newer cameras but it gets the job done. I actually feel really stupid for not figuring out that it has a white balance meter until now hahaha. I didn't get the manual with it as a friend gave it to me a while back. The buds seem to be forming quite well so far. I am excited.

In any case here are a few pics with white balance.

Damn they looks so perfect! lol now no one will talk shit about your yellow pictures. Are both buds the Green Crack or is one the GDP? Your camera takes hella good pictures for 4mp. COME UP! lol I can't wait for the Grandaddy to purple up its going to be sick.

Honestly If you need a/c you need a/c. There is usually no way around it If I'm not mistaken. You can try hooking up both lights in line with ducting and air cool them with an inline fan to see if they run cool enough without anything. You can also go out and purchase one of those "chillers" so that your fan literally blows cold air across the lamp. The chiller however requires you to have a separate res of water specifically for cooling the lights. It is a costly investment from what I understand. Not sure what the cost comparison is to A/C as I havn't looked into either since I don't need them. Good luck fellow tent brethren!

Thanks darkstreets and supasticky for the kind comments.

I recently started messing with my camera settings in order to achieve a better quality picture. So here are my results.
