That seed u see in the middle is G-Cut X Hawaiian Banger..... gonna be an interesting mix....... G-Cut has a really earthy Kush funk aroma. You take that n mix it with my Hawaiian Banger the citrus skunky gassy hashy flavor. Both parents put on some serious frost..... that seed should be fire male or female.....
Enjoy............. =] Update from small room. Burnt her a bit. But I did flush her good. This is 1 of my all time faves. I just can't drop her from my circle....

To me they are all winners in there own unique taste, smell, n high. They have there own signature. I dont think any is better than the other. They are all pretty ranked high on my list. If just depends on what I feel like blazing....

Anyways this is the update for the small room. These are what I will be crossing the Hawaiian Banger male with.... I will post a update of the large room soon and will have a thorough smoke reports once the small room is cure n ready to light up... i cure very very slowly. 2 weeks on ropes at 60f 60 rh with air movement. Then jar for a week.... Only then will it be ready to test....

Once ready I will post more pix of buds porn/shots.... that and a update from the large room with all the other strains I have going and a update on my Hawaiian Bangers as well.
Not sure how i stumbled on the tread but i just finished reading 2 years of your work... I was planning on popping a few Headbangers but now all i can think about is your crosses. Those conspiracy bangers are playing with my head. Fantastic blog by the way. Much envy

@fingerbobs Those HeadBangers will not disappoint. Be weary of the stretch tho. It can be up to 3x from flip. Oh and get a good filter or replace your old 1. Trust me. Lol. You will enjoy it tho. Be prepared to stake alot or trellis it good.

The four on the left is Maui Wowie X BigBud the 8 on the right is Starfighter X BigBud

The Starfighter from Exotix Genetics I recieved as a clone from a buddy of mine's was crossed from a Male BigBud that I selected from a batch of BigBud from BC Bud Depot.

The Maui Wowie was also a clone that I have recieved a long long time ago that I still keep to this day alive. I also crossed it with that same BigBud male from BC BigBud from BC Bud Depot.

Here is how they currently look. Still little baby's..... I have ran the BB x SF and it was Fire. The MW x BB was made hoping to get the structure from BB and all that unique and pungent terp from the MW. I guess we will just have to see what we get this round.

Top notch crossing/grow thread. Mr. Dop3, you have me excited about my own crossing grows next season. I'm curious to how you pollinate such as do you just let nature take it's course or do you selectively paint your pollen on to the females.

I quarantine the males. Then make my selection wich Male makes the cut. From there I will pick out the females from my flowering room and bring them into the same room I keep just the males in. Then I would either shake the Male pollen onto the entire female or some times just collect a little bit of pollen 1 branch at a time. Then go to the female. Place a garbage bag over her, cut a lil hole and pull out the highest/tallest most best looking branch and that is closest to the light. Then I would sprinkle it on top. After that, I will pull the garbage bag off and put her back In the flowering room. The purpose of this is when I want to make a new cross but I dont want all the buds seeded. This way I can still get like 90% unseeded bud. The other 10% that is seeded, are specific tops I choose to get the best lighting, were already the biggest branches/ bud size. The reason I do this is I believe those parts seeded will be the best seeds as compared to seeds that I have harvested down low with little light. Also when you harvest the plant. I would leave those tops and cut down the rest. I let them go longer till they fully and over ripe. Just to make sure the seeds fully develop and have the best chance of germinating.

When the newly pollinated mothers are returned to the flower room do you not get stray pollination of the other plants ?

On a 9 week strain what would be your ideal day to do the pollinating ?

Yes you will get stay pollen floating around and fans/ winds will push them onto neighbors sitting next to them wich you will get some straggler seeds... What I will try to do is turn off the fan at the tray with the pollinated mother for about a week to help reduce spread of pollen. I would also have that tray crosses only. Meaning that tray has a mix of different female strains that all been hit with the same male. I would turn of that fan for that tray for a week.

The best and most proper way is to get a enclosed tent. And use just that for making new strains.... but most of my people are happy when they find seeds. So I'm not to worried if pollen gets kicked around a little.

It depends. You must also know the flowering time of that male... but general idea that works for me is around weeks 3-4 or is when they are mature enough to mate. If you run a 11-12 week more like 4-4.5 week is when I cross em. You want the male to develop a bit and not just take the first pollen available... also when I collect pollen. I try to go for the healthiest, biggest buds, closer towards light branches to collect. I may not matter but I think that those pollen collected and used on a female seem to always produce better seeds then say pollen collected from a runt arm that barely got light on it.

This is just from my experience. N what works for me.

At the risk of getting bud rot would it be a thing to do the single branch pollination, leave the mum outside of the flower room then wet the branch before putting her back in ?

NO,..... do not wet the plant because. If the pollen get wet. It may become sterile. Meaning the pollen will not take. There is alot higher chance your pollen will not work. Try your best to keep the pollen dry. Do not let it get moist.

I would buy a small grow tent and put my male in there separately from your flower room. Flower the male till it's ready to mate. Bring in the female. Pollinate only the branches that you want. Then kill off the Male and bag him. Then just leave your single female or how ever many strains you want to cross to finish in the tent.

This way you have zero chance of getting unwanted pollinated and seeded buds in you large room.

If you bring the pollinated female back in the room. Your guaranteed to have some stray pollen floating around. I dont mind it because my people are actually happy when they find seeds. Lol they feel like they won the jackpot. Hahaha. I always tell em to hold onto the seeds n label n date them properly. That or just run em if they got the space.

If you do the bag method. Then shake the branch to get off the excess pollen and also turn off the fan for a week. It does really help. But there always will be a few unwanted seeds.

The only way to 100% not get unwanted pollinated buds. Is to finish her in a separate small grow tent..

Do you ever store pollen for later use of do you only work with fresh ?

I have herd of people storing them and using later. I have herd that some can store up to a year if you freeze it. But the important part is as soon as u take it out. You want to use it right away.

I my self always use fresh. Nothing is better than fresh dropped pollen.

A little slow on the updates, been busy fishing n enjoying summer.

20190922 185241
the first eight on the bottom are Starfighter X BigBud

20190922 185815
on the far right wall on top going down 4 are the Maui Wowie X BigBud
20190922 185252
the same pic different angle. It's the top far left. The first 4 from that row are Maui Wowie X BigBud.

As you can see the seedlings have out grown the pot and will be transplanted soon. They are growing alot more vigorously then there clone neighbors.
