Brah. Schrom x 98. Legit. Speaking of that what ever happened to Schroomy.
so pretty :cool:Very cool project going on here. I've been seriously considering running a cycle for seed production. I love my pre-98 bubba but it's a reeally old cut. Would love to start it out fresh from seed. I'd love to self cross my space cookies too. Making a seed stash of these genetics should really move to the top of my to-do list.

She's ready to start throwing down some weight!!! On a more serious note, a couple of my Bubba's Sis are REALLY DARK green seedlings - darkest I've seen in a while. Yours?I started five of the Bubba's Sis. This is the first one to break ground.
Send the Overtokes my way :cool:Mine are just breaking through the soil so just little milk leaves. I'll email you today. Talked to an old friend who might want to reconnect with you.
Intuition, guesswork, and personal preference. Keep the strains you love, get rid of the rest. To keep a clone all you need to do is maintain a mother plant that NEVER gets flowered. When it gets too big, take a clone of her and start over again. A reversal typically uses chemicals to make a female plant express as a male and produce viable pollen. The pollen is "feminized" in that it will only produce females when used for breeding.Holy everything looks so amazing! Sorry don’t mean to steer the thread away from your progress, but I’ve been so curious about a few things when it comes to breeding and feel like you katsu and the others here can help me learn something new.
What does it mean to be doing a reversal? Also I’ve seen many times people talking about a strain from year 19xx, why is it worth getting a clone from specific strains like this? With all the cross breeding nowadays would a bubba kush bought from any seed bank be very different from the pre 98 BK strain you have? Also HOW do you manage to keep a specific strain alive and unchanged for so many years?
I would love to understand the details of breeding and why we choose to keep certain strains alive. I guess it also is shown when people search for landrace strains to breed as well?
Thanks for any insight!
When you post pix and strain names like that, send bibs ! I'm sure everyone is drooling all over themselves and othersHere's a quick pic of the Bubba crosses. Back left is Dracarys and back right is Kaffir Kush. The rest aren't much to look at, yet  View attachment 877690
I am the Katsu that spread the Bubba Kush in early 2000s. Sent it out to probably 150 people...@katsu, this may seem like a stewpid question but are you the same Katsu that made the cornbread, and Katsu cut of pre 98 Bubba ?
