Hey k , one other thought , you can also put a bag over your main , lager top bud sites , even a baggie , while you are pollinating the lower or middle branches , that way you will preserve and protect the bud from stray pollen , and hopefully keep it seedless so you can get a good idea of what type , size , aroma etc your future females will resemble , i mean when grown from seeds ,

Take the bag off next day and spray mist again , some people will bag for 2 days or more , personal decision ....
I'm about to go take pictures. I need to move about the males very slowly. Yes, they are ready to burst. One got me this morning. I was freaking out because I thought there was a sudden outbreak of powdery mildew. Nope. Sperminators. Also, I need y'alls advice. I feel for sure I have a herm now. The biggest tallest female, of course. Man, they absolutely ARE full of surprises. I also think the hubs may have inadvertently caused it because I vaguely remember some issue with timing and lights one day/night when my head hurt so bad I couldn't see.

If it is, wasn't there special instruction from you or @BigCube ? Be back shortly.

Hey k , yes its tough to follow someone elses grow and not be able to get up close live info , i think we are all hyper focused on the conditions of your plants because we are happy for you to succeed ,

But , you are doing a lot of things , growing males , female regs , feminized , and different strains all at once , its a lot to deal with...
But you explained that you just want to go for it and let nature take its course , which i think is cool , and you will learn a lot .....

You stated that you didnt care about hermaphrodites , so with that point of view , you really dont have to do anything , i think bigcube said to pinch the male flowers off,
You can do that ....but with a hermaphrodite , its best to determine if it has that tendancey or if you are the one who actually pushed it in that direction...
I dont think one or 2 nights of off schedeule light would
have turned it.....
A few days of interrupted light , thats a different story....

This becomes a bit important because , if you are going to invest time and energy into seedmaking , its really best not to do such a thing with a hermi mother
If you can live with hundreds of , or thousands of seeds that carry that trait , well thats your business and no one elses , each breeder has a specific goal....

If it was me , i would identify for sure and get rid of it , i would not even make seed with those genetics , but on the other hand , my life long companion the sour diesel was made with hermi plant pollen ..... so.... you could potentially have killer seed for the future , its just not common practice ,

Try and do a close up shot with a paper behind so we can see it..

Whatever bigcube told you , and i cant speak for him , i think he probably meant that you can get by with the hermi by removing male sacs , but it certainley won " fix" anything......

If i can read you , then ii think you should let it live , but if your goal is to have better seed stock , then i would remove it from your project , because there will always be uncertanty as to wether the hermi pollinated your other plants.....( without your permission )

I think in these types of forums , many members and readers will stick with traditional methods , but you have a beautiful garden , let it grow whatever way it pleases you , ...

Hey K , my prefrence as far as the male pollen , i like the females to be a little more stacked before pollinating , i have to look at your dates , but you have 2 or 3 choices

Follow my pollinating guidelines right now , shut you fans , tap out some pollen in a cup, go over to your female , but just do a few branches , and dust em up...

Or collect some pollen , mix with flour , like 1/2 teaspoon , flour and a 1/8 of pollen
And store in fridge or freezer, wait a few more days to a week and then pollinate ....

Or cut off pollen branches on male , the ones that are opening early , throw them out and wait a few days for some of the newer male sacs to open , thereby giving yourself another 4 or 5 days to let you females develope more pistils....

Post a close up of the hermi , and a pic of just the top of the female or branch that you want to pollinate....

Also , please any other viewers , members offer advice as i do things my way and maybe someone else has helpful advice 😊 thanks !

Mine had couple other stress factors but it hermed completely after 1 time no lights for few hours in middle of light cycle, some diesels just react badly to any light issue, not all just some, they are great but never mess up light...or feed after midnight lol

I'm suddenly on the fast track to Reiki Master, in the proper way. Thank goodness! 🙏 💗

Pretty sure I have a herm. Fourth from bottom. However, as @DreamsOfDiesel shared with me before, never say never with this strain. Also, I have yet to plant the other seeds. Funny that.

your right about 4th down that plant is loaded with pollen sacks unless you want a seeded crop I would remove it now

Hi k , it would be a good ideaa to pollinate one of your biggest budsites now if you are ready , i would wait a few days , but i cant see the rate at which the males are opening , so if you can , observe a sac and get ready to grab some pollen , keep it nice and tidy and dust the fullest bud , very carefully , then isolate with a little bag or makeshift newspaper and tape protective dome ......

Also in my previous post i said give it a few days , for the girls to grow out fuller lower budsites , but for insurance , go ahead and pollinate a top larger site ..... they are ready / very close to ready ....

You can do today or tomorrow , just keepan eye on your males and collect or clean up all falling pollen....

That really sucks. I was thinking she was just a tall woman. Into the other tent he goes. Wow. Only one female SSSD, Ya'll

I'll make those up before they wake up for the day.

So, you are saying, collect pollen, then put a bag over their "head" right?

3 male SSSDs!!! One female. Sigh.

Dont write it off as male or herm yet, you know what to look for, better seen in person

He's trying. :) It must be hell on my family when I "come to" out of these headaches. I start correcting all the little things and I've just recognized it. He said he's having trouble with putting the top on, or bottom or something. I told him to take a break. I just finished making root beer mead and bottle my first Apple Cider Vinegar and it tastes DELICIOUS! Plant pictures soonish. For now, my bottling efforts. Am I allowed to be off topic on my own thread? I will ask for forgiveness later, I guess.
No guns or nudity otherwise its your story you tell it

Oh yea , i dont see it as herm yet , so dream is right , could just be a late flower , sativa leaning plants can take longer to start flower , and longer to finish of course.... P.S. i dont think i ever said it was a hermi , i think i just said to keep my eye on it ........
So jist keep observing ,

Collect pollen , collect like i said before , next put the pollen on one of the larger buds in the female foom carefully , then put a bag on the pollinated female bud to protect and confine isolate the pollinated budsite ,

And yes i kind of said , put a baggie on the sites to protect them from getting pollinated , lests say like a glove ( as an example) or condom to keep stray pollen off the neiighboring budsites , also you can mist them first but be careful , dont want to bake them , maybe leave the misting out , and just pollinate your buds , put a protective bag on the pollinated bud sites
then mist the other un pollinated sites to protect them from stray pollen

You can put a lot of pollen on the female budsite that you choose....

Plan of action:
Gather pollen in a jar with a paint brush when it's lights on. Dust up a female. :)

I will wait to dust up female until I post close ups of them. I'm nervous, so I will wait until I post pictures of the SSSD females, choose one (only have two). If the other one ISN'T a herm, then she will be the one as she is large and the boss. She likes to sting, too, occasionally. Have any of y'all experienced that as a defense mechanism with the Diesel strain. My other ones don't do it.

@DreamsOfDiesel, twice you have been right about telling me to wait. I'm deferring to you RE: herm. I'm going to wait it out since now I'm looking at the pictures and I feel like it's a 'She.' She might just be one of those really strong, beautiful women. Like Sekhmet. I did deem her the Mother of Dragons. 🤩🐉
