Im looking for a light for my 2x2 tent to start my 4 seedlings with. Is this 125w kingbrite any good to start seedlings with? And would i want 4000 or 3500 or 3000 emitting color

Or is there a better light to start them with?

If it comes with a dimmer it should work fantastic.
Edit: it does have a dimmer, yes it is perfect for a 2x2.

Higher temp light better for veg, more blue spectrum in it. If they have 4500-6500k temps would be better, but that light will grow just about anything under it no problem in a 2x2 right into flower, just be careful to have it like 20+" away and/or dimmed down a bit for seedlings

If only for veg, look for a cooler color ( assuming you can get one) 4k or even 5k is better for veg. The 3k & 3.5k have higher red values, so more relevant to flower: you need more blur light.

that link is to big for me to see but..... it's the 85 $ 1 so I'm taking it ...It's the 1 I was looking at so yes it will do a 2x2

get the 3500K ............ that way you can use it for both.......

with the Kingbrites the 3500k in veg kick's azz also......

Its just for my small seedling tent. So i should get it in 4000?

Then im also going to buy a 480w for my 4x4 veg tent too. Should i get the 480w in 3500 or also in 4000?
the 480w is just for my veg tent i have a flower tent with kingbrites that are 3000 emitting color.

3500k..........................................................................

For the seedlings 4k is better. No need for low temp (3000-3500k) red light on them. The bigger light, the 480, id go with 3500 just to have the versatility of being able to use it for flowering also, if the need ever arrises

get a few of these for your 4x4... 3500k

go look at my post if you don't belive............................................

I was looking at this for my 4x4. I thought it was better because it had 301h lights instead of 301b. Isnt the 301h the newer version?

Red light on seedlings causes unwanted/unneeded stretch. Higher blue light will keep it bushier. There are countless side by side grows demonstrating this documented online. Seems pretty common knowledge around here that blue=veg red=flower
