Sorry to hear about your brother...it’s never easy. Hope you all stay strong and just pull through it’s all you can do. Plants are looking good! Mine haven‘t started flowering yet but I’ve been up and down and back and forth with the light too lol. But I’m under the impression they will get bigger faster and more dense with the right amount of light...usually more light. I jacked up one of my plants to be about 8” closer to the light so it can warn me for the other plants if it’s too much light. It’s the runt of the litter. I expect a full dime bag off that plant haha.Hey guys I've been meaning to do this sooner but I had so much going on. Lost my brother on the 9th. A couple days later my dog almost drowned in the pool and a couple days after that my mom got in a car crash (she is ok her car is just busted up.) I was a total wreck for a couple weeks and almost let the plants go, caring for them felt so petty. But I pulled my head out of my a** in time, I know he wouldn't want me to stop doing the things I enjoy. I'm still new to this, I did my first full grow outdoors this year and it came out decent with lots of room for improvement but I enjoyed it so I figured I'd get a little indoor setup started. Right now I have a 4x2 tent inside of my 6x6 closet. Maybe down the road I will turn the whole closet into a grow space but who knows, I think I'm ok with what I got for now. This grow has been 50/50 synthetic/organic but in the future runs I want to start leaning more towards organic. Anyway, I'll briefly go over the equipment I've used and catch you guys up to speed:
Current Grow:
1 mars hydro ts 1000 / 1 viparspectra par1500
4x2 AC Infinity tent
2 purple punch auto by 420 fast buds
5 gallon Ac Infinity pots
50/50 mix of fox farm ocean forest and yellow bag miracle grow
1 6" vivosun fan for exhaust, and a old 4" for intake
fox farm trio / real grower's recharge / bloom city cal-mag / dynomyco
aqua oasis humidifier
I think that's it so I'll share some pictures of up to this point.

This pic ^ I believe was the first day I noticed the pre flowering and it's also around the time I lost my brother and quit keeping track of the grow so there is a big gap that brings us up to a few days ago:
The main colas had gotten away a little bit so reluctantly I decided to do one last bend and move them lights down and turned them up from 70 to 80%
Before:

it obviously made the canopy more even but I think it was a bad call on my part (don't know unless you try) The bend made a few of the pistil tips on the main cola turn orange-ish and I turned up and lowered the light too fast I think because the leaves started yellowing quickly so I backed off the bend and the lights and that's where I'm at now.

Website where I bought the seeds says they should be ready in 9 weeks which is in 20 days. I don't think they will be ready by then, they haven't even swelled yet...but we will see. Not expecting a big yield but I hope the nug is good. I'm gonna try to update once or twice a week as they flower out.
Thanks for stopping by, happy grows everybody...questions/comments/criticisms are all welcome, don't be shy.

Wow those are really coming along! I flipped to flower 1 week ago and don’t really see any flowering yet. Yours are looking great. The yellowing...hmm, not sure but everything else seems to look good. Unless others with experience chime in I’d just keep an eye out. Actually you might try watering till runoff (if in coco) but in soil I’d be worried of overwatering. Whatever you decide to try...keep in mind they are producing buds and maybe won’t be affected by the yellowing leaves. Dang, I dunno just thinking out loud lol. It’s a tough call to make. At least for me.hey thanks man I appreciate you saying that, you're a good dude. How long ago did you flip yours again? and hey you never know maybe the runt will have the dankest nug out of all of them. I look forward to checking it out though keep killin it man
I've had the lights at 75% for a while now I just figured it was time to start working them up to 100% but whatever deficiency I got going on seemed to be accelerated when I did that. They are yellowing more and more quickly than I'd like. So far it is only older and lower growth but I'm not sure how much of a cause for concern it should be. I think I have been underwatering a bit too. Was still watering them like I was in veg but they seemed to be drying up alot quicker. Going to up the cal mag a bit and water a little heavier and see how they react. I have not been watering til run off I just pack the edges of the pot and try to water slowly until I think the soil is mostly saturated. Thinking maybe I should reconsider that and water until run off from now on. At the very least I need to be a little more consistent and monitor what I'm doing and how much I'm watering/feeding etc.
yesterday I gave them both roughly 1/3 gallon of water each with 1/8 tsp of cal mag and one tsp of tiger bloom. ppm was 530 and ph was 6.3
both lights are at 20" 75% right now

45 days from sprout, don't think I will be plucking any more leaves I will just wait until they die and want to fall off. And I definitely won't be bending them anymore just gonna try to stay out of the way and feed/water til finish. they are starting to put on some trichomes now

yeah I think you're right actually I backed them off thinking that could have something to do with yellowing and obviously it didn't so I may as well. Thanks for that input my friendI’m a newbie so take it with a grain of salt... but I’d either flush it with ph’d water and start feeding until runoff every day, or just start feeding until runoff every day, with the first one about 50% runoff, making sure not to skimp on the nutes, and crank the lights up. I am dealing with a few issues and thought one of them was due to lights. I upped the fertigations to daily and cranked the light up to 90% about 18” from the tallest plant...I noticed the closer to the lights the more rapid development of flowers (if you can call them that at the stage I’m in lol). Give it a shot and see if it helps. Maybe do it to one plant, then prop it up closer to the light, keep the other the same, in a couple days you’ll for sure know if it helped. Maybe even 1 day.
You got it man! Let me know if anything changes with them...but if not, they look good and probably will turn out awesome even if you just keep em going. But...I’ve found I like to experiment a little with them to see how they’re affected. I might even turn the lights down to 50% and keep the temp below 75 for the last couple days and see if I get nice pungent terpenes! Haha maybe it’ll work!yeah I think you're right actually I backed them off thinking that could have something to do with yellowing and obviously it didn't so I may as well. i see what u did thereI’m a newbie so take it with a grain of salt... but I’d either flush it with ph’d water
thanks again for the encouragement and advice growmie. I actually did both, lowered the mars to about 16" from top site and vipar 18" from top site both are at 95% brightness. Also flushed them with ph'd water and will be watering until slight run-off and increasing feed moving forward. I wouldn't bet on it yet but it seems to have tempered their unhappiness. Dropping temps at the end is also something that has crossed my mind, if nothing else it seems to bring out nice colors but I gotta put some more thought into that and how I would go about it. Will cross that bridge eventually though, hopefully. You got it man! First of all, that’s crazy I didn’t think anyone would get the salt pun hahaha. And those buds are looking nice. As far as temps dropping, I think it’s basically to prevent terpenes from evaporating off. But maybe it helps in other ways too? I thought about turning my light to 50% for the last couple days to let the terps build up and bring the temp down a little. Not sure if it’ll work but worth a shot!i see what u did there

I also forgot to mention I added a UV light to the mix when I saw the trichomes, it is 30% uva and 15% uvb. Lamp clamp with aluminum reflector was 10$ and bulb was 18$. Seemed like a nice relatively cheap addition for supplemental light in there. Kinda been spoiling myself a little bit got some other goodies in the mail and more coming but that's for a different grow/different day.
that's it for now ladies and germs, cheers
Hm, that's interesting, I have not heard that to be honest. The whole terp discussion is really complex/scientific to the point of being out of my league if I'm honest lol. It's all interesting though. What I do believe is that temps dropping at the end of the season is what the plants should be used to by nature so I think that's good (within reason) lol.First of all, that’s crazy I didn’t think anyone would get the salt pun hahaha. Hey vlad, thank you. DWC looks cool I've seen a lot of awesome results including yours. That tangerine stuff looks bomb as hell. what percent indica/sativa is that, have you any idea? I still have alot to learn about growing in soil and I'm kinda committed on the next grow or two cause I bought some stuff for it but in the future I'd love to give that and coco a try also. From the outside looking in it seems like the DWC would be more alot more calculated and require more maintenance but I'm not sure if that's true or not and I'm sure it comes with it's advantages. that pic you posted kinda speaks for itself. hope your new years going well and nice dog btwIm in DWC so this may not pertain to you but I always run some grow with my bloom until week 3 or 4 of flower. Im not sure if thats youre problem or not.
They look amazing though, im glad youre sticking it out
Yes! Looking good! I just wanna EAT IT!51 days from sprout. Top buds are swelling and the mids are growing a little too. putting on more trichs. Since that mini flush I gave them terp tea til' slight run off twice now. Was gonna save it for the next one where I will hopefully re use the soil but I figured what the hell. may have counted the shorter one on the left out of the race too soon. The buds on it seem a little fatter than the one on the right and it also seems to be maturing slower. The one on the right has an extra top or two and is taller but I am a little curious which one will weigh more now.The one on the left is obviously in worse shape for some reason, The one on the right has been kicking it's ass the whole way thru.
Thanks bud yeah I'm definitely excited. It's my second grow but my first indoors. looking forward to give it a try but gonna be patient and make sure they finish up properly. My buddies are looking forward to it too. One of them went to the dispensary to get a 1/8th the other day said he had $50 bucks on him and had to go back out to the car to grab another 20 just to cover the 8/th. Mind blowing. You'd think he was paying for gold but he showed me it and it looked like some average joe in a $10 package.Hell yeah looking awesome!!! I don’t remember if this is your first grow or not but either way must be getting excited. Those buds are looking nice!
Yes definitely wait until they are ripe and full of cloudy trichomes...do you have a scope to check trichomes? A buddy of mine went through 5 grows and I think he harvested early every time. Not much smell or taste and didn’t get me high either, even though they looked good. Worth it to wait. Thanks bud yeah I'm definitely excited. I feel bad taking $ from him but he insists and says it's cheaper and better than what he was getting before .
Anyway, I got some more goodies in the mail:
would like to leave a vouche for North Atlantic seed company. They are right in Maine shipping was super cheap for me here in NY and they came in a few days. Bought 7 seeds and got 5 free. Pretty good deal in my opinion and nothing but good things to say about them from my first experience...
