church strain

350 ppm
6.4 ph

room temp 80
room humidity 50%
res temp 66
co2 ppm 1500

so i noticed that the plants looked real tired and droopy for the last two to three hours of the day so i changed lighting from 18/6 to 16/8 last night and i had good results!

i also plucked all the yellow leaves off the sick one i think that had more to do with foliar spraying it with cal mag and ultimate thrive but it was only .5 ml of each to a gallon.

ran out of co2 lowered the room temps until bottle gets a refill on monday.
everything is looking nice and green i need to lower the ppm to 300 these things are STILL getting some nute burn at the very tips.

will probably fill the CO2 today and get the room back to hi temps. i added some fresh r.o. water to the mix last night and got the ppms below 300 due to the fact that i was still seeing the slightest nute burn on the tips of these leaves. fucken crazy how low the ppms are but there lush and green and it saves money on nutes so fuck it! lowered the p.h. it had spiked to 6.7 ouch =(. the p.h. spikes really has me hating on house and garden nutes at the moment and i might be switching to canna the next round! gonna flip em in 12 days they should be nice and bushy by then ^^. GONNA GET THIS DANK!

Looking Great Kitical! Ive been keeping veg at 400ppm and there doing Great! Ive never run the church strain but your plants are looking mega healthy! Cant wait to see the fat ass nugs! Keep up the good work!

ya its crazy man these fucken plants do not like the hi ppms! ill try to take some shots tonight at lights out so you can see how healthy these bitches are! i picked up a grand daddy purp today to fill the hole of the one that took transplant shock! i was hoping to get the pre 98 master bubba kush but o well.

the ppms last night were at 290 and today there down to around 250-260. i think im gonna flush soon and get it to 300 again.

ladies look wonderful! im filling up the feed station now gonna change out the nutes and get the ppms back up to 300-320. also im gonna leave the p.h. low this time and let it swing up on its own the way jack gets it done!

the stalks look nice and FAT on this ladies there gonna be some bushy stout bitches and there color is so deep and amazing i need to get some good color shots borrow someones camera.

Hey kritical, if you get the chance, can you take a few pictures of the grow buckets without the covering on them if the water temp is not an issue? Also, what is the ppm of the R/O water without nutrient solution?

I think you have done a splendid job :) but I can tell at this point that you won't hit the 700 to 800 gr/ sqm that the church can offer. I specialize in optimizing systems and nutrient management so hopefully we can get your plant on the fast track to success! I scrolled through your post and can't recall; are you following a pre-programmed regimen by any company? Also, what is your ppm meter (company / precision?) and have you tried advanced nutes or other high end companies?

hanna combo meter

my r.o. water runs between 6 and 30 ppm

im using house and garden aqua flakes A&B as my base some zone, cal mag and roots excelerator and i top off with just a little ultimate thrive to get the ppm at exactly whatever number im going for. yes ive heard of advanced nutes and i will probably switch to bud ignitor, big bud and overdrive for bloom or give atami bloombastic a try.

i was running the water in the buckets at the 8 gallon mark so i measured the net pots and there about 5" below the lid to bottom of net pot so im gonna get that water level to 1" below the net pot like u suggested and give that a try.

day 26 [CHANGED OUT NUTES]

church strain

400 ppm
5.7 ph

room temp 85
room humidity 50%
res temp 66
co2 ppm 1500

okay i raised the ppm to 400 and lowered the water level i didnt even use one of the 30 gallon trash cans i filled it and im gonna raise the ppm in it and add to the system as needed. it already seems to be making a huge improvement they look like there perking up and color is deeper green.

Good to see things are perking up, one piece of advice though; try to get the pH down to 5.3-5.5, allowing it to fluctuate up to 5.7-5.9 but keeping it within that range.

Now that the water is lowered and your plants can process more food, your water level will drop since they are pulling up water through the roots and dissipating it through their leaves (make sure water levels do not get too low, and the nutrient solution concentrates thus making the ppm spike). If they are pulling a lot of nutrients out of the water, and your ppm is getting lower, add some more A+B to keep your ppm count around your highest point as you want the plants to get used to higher nutrient feeding. If there is rapid feeding going on, the pH in your system will be actively changing so keep an eye on it. The more nutrients you add in, the more acid/bass buffers you are competing with so do not be discouraged if you need to add more than usual.

Additionally, if you can keep the temp down, that would be ideal. Personally, until I felt confident with my hydroponic skills and pushing plants with higher ppm counts, I didn't like pushing the Co2 levels so high, so if you want to cut back to 1000 ppm, that is completely up to your discretion.

If you are using an electronic ballast such as lumatek and are looking for an extra kick in growth too during the veg stage, I would recommend switching over to a metal halide bulb (might only be able to find 400 or 1000 W in true halide) or 600 W metal halide (HPS conversion bulbs). The blue tinged lighting is ideal for long veg hours vs. the HPS lights that you are currently using (judging from the color in the shots) which are ideal in bloom. This does enhance growth initially, but its also a long term investment because it will enhance your future cycles. If you choose to do this, you would switch the lights (metal halide to hps) at the beginning of your 'transition' cycle (2 weeks) that is in between veg and bloom.

How long do you plan to keep these plants in veg?
What light cycle are you currently doing? (on hours / off hours)

As we had discussed, getting these plants bushy and spread out is ideal, so with 3 - 4 weeks of aggressive veg and guiding you, I believe there still is the potential to produce a copious amount of high quality medicine. For now, the primary goal is bulking up your root system by allowing them to recover from being drowned and letting the plant really get situated. Once you enter the bloom phase, the roots will stop growing so its very important to lay proper root foundations in the veg phase so the plant is hardy and able to absorb vast nutrients in the bloom phase. Additionally, if you hurt the plant in the bloom phase the roots will not recover effectively and affect your yields drastically, so by having a bulky root system going into bloom, if there were to be damage, the plant is hardy enough to keep going and your yield is salvageable. With big root systems though, its important to watch out for root gnats and other pests so having products like sm-90 in your system is never a bad thing.

I haven't seen any fans, but hopefully you should have almost all of the leaves on every plant, every few seconds dancing gently in the breeze. This makes all plants happy :)

i planned on keeping them in veg until 2-1-11 then flipping but if i have to go longer thats not a problem a couple weeks. my co2 monitor is not adjustable so it keeps it in the 900-1500 range then shuts it off.

my lights are running 16 on 8 off right now since the plants were super droopy for the last two hours anyway.

ppms are down and p.h. is up to 5.8 today so ill readjust when i get back home.

nice.plugin - I realize your trying to help but your giving advice that just not catered to running an RDWC setup like this

constantly adjusting ph could cause more problems and my experience with them is even if you adjust the ph it tends to go right back to where it was

the guy who designed the system specifically states that if ph is between 5.5 and 6.5 to not adjust

mine wants to run between 6.1 and 6.3

Hey Kritical I am by no Means a Hydro Guru! Im Leaning with Motherload on the PH Issue! alot of what plugin is saying is essentially true but adding ph up and down ( especially down ) into the epicenter is a bad thing for the roots!!! The most I would do is if your ph is getting high lower your add back reservoir Ph a little to adjust slowly as the plants use the Water! and if your nutrients are balanced ph swing of 5.5 to 6.5 is spot on in my humble opinion! absolutely no offense intended Plugin!! Your plants look healthy from where i sit! on a second note i think its my turn for the bong:bong-hits::bong-hits:
