The best part of growing it yourself
Strawberry Banana
Strawberry Banana
Yes growing with regular seeds & not feminized sucks. A lot of time, nute's work, lighting goes into growing then to end up with males cuts the harvest in half. I just had 12 nice Auto's growing...now I have 6 my biggest and best were all males. I now a 6 5 ft male auto's growing outside and the rest are still in under my hps because the weather here this year sucks. I wanted them all out doors in June, here we are almost out of July and its too wet to put them out. raining every 2 daysHigh's and Low's
Went out uncovered the GH
Plants looked good but as I took another closer look
at Ghost Train Haze the one that is tallest (34")
I am always looking for flowers but to my dismay found a rotten male
SOB that's the 3rd GTH that turned male
I will double check today when it gets lighter out but crap.
Down to 3 scraggly plants.
I think next time I will plant them from seed outside and just let them grow
F the street light
Well next grow (Sept) will be in the cellar with 3 plants and a mac daddy light.
F the light bill too.
I don't like anything about this grow, nothing looks right to me
I never had such crappy looking plants before, don't know why
they so short with very little foliage and no cola branches.
Live and learn I guess.
They look great! How many weeks into the flip are they?Yes growing with regular seeds & not feminized sucks. about 2 weeks ago I turned all I had to 12/12. The strain has a lot to do with bushiness but keeping my T5 lights within a couple of inches of the canopy keeps them shorter and then topping to keep them short grows nice bushes indoors. I just get mold & tears growing outside. I can't rely on an outdoor crop to be my only source, I've either got bud rot, powdery mildew, bugs, & or 6-7 week flowered bud if I try to eliminate the mold. To play with some extra plants or I was hoping this year for auto's this year outside, okay but I still need my indoor to keep me in a supply of my meds. They look great! Raining alot here also One of them rainy summers we get one every 10 yrs or so
Feeding Time
They are very dry, leaves not wilting dry but dry enough.
In the three 5 gal. pots (Ghost Train Haze x 2, Girl Scout Cookies )
Dyna-Gro (Per Gal. Water)
1 tsp Foliage Pro
3/4 tsp Pro-Tekt
600 PPM
I use tap water at 6.8 PH
For the 10 gal. pot (Bruce Banner)
Botanacare PBP (Per Gal. Water)
1 and 1/2 tsp
600 PPM
They are all looking healthy
cept for a lil light green leaves near the top of the GSC
Might be low nuites
Next feed will add a little Cal-Mag to the mix.
All are growing with the tallest at 34"
But am confused about the lack of cola branches
This is the first time I grew under florescent lights
and had problems from the get go as far as growth from seedling
They popped ok but slow to get that foliage
I guess it could be I had some hot soil
I never though to test the PPM when I got it from Cali and Louisiana.
I need to find a new soil source for sure.
Soon as I can I will be making some tinctures from sugar leaves
I will make some gummy bears for myself
Last time I made brownies, man weeeeeee!

I'm sure you'll have more luck with your green house, Maybe one day I can get the gumption up to build one myself
I just use store bought peat mixes. My go to is Greenworlds VPW30. I like it because I don't have to add perlite it already has 30% in it. I've used it a lot and my Ph stays in the mid 6's without up or down. Cheap to me about $30Cdn for a large compact bale. Promix, Sunshine mix, and others work fine for me.Went to a new place yesterday, Tractor Supply Co. and scored some dirt.
Burpee Organic $7 1 cu. ft. bag I brought 4 and a bag of worm castings for $19
3 seeds to be planted today.
Gorilla Glue
MK Ultra
Blue Dream
All fem seeds so hope I have better luck this time
Last time the Gorilla Glue didn't pop :(
Very Nice and Organized Grow Room you have there and Big tooI just use store bought peat mixes. My go to is Greenworlds VPW30. I like it because I don't have to add perlite it already has 30% in it. Ya I hadn't thought about the 100 degree weather & greenhouses....Something to consider. I had an osculating fan blowing in my little plastic A frame pup tent I put up last year and it did get hot but with the high humidity accompanying it the plants were fine, just lots of water. I built a small grow box 2x2x18" to start my seedlings and clones in with a 2ft 2 tube t5 fixture next to my grow closet that's 4'x 6' x 3' I've just started 5 Jet Orange & 4 Bubble Bomb seeds and they are up 3". I'm excited about the Jet Orange seeds. They came from seeds I got in a couple of buds a fellow farmer gifted me. He said it was from accidental pollination on a few lower buds and not from hermies. I trust his word on that and it was some of the nicest smoke I've ever had as far as taste goes, a real sweet citrus & diesel taste My flower room 10' x 10' x 9' is behind the black curtain.View attachment 1150814View attachment 1150815
Old pics but this is my perpetual grow set up in my basement.
Thanks for that...I just moved in there a year ago, I have an oil tank room with a 6ft ceiling & duct work. I had lots of sq footage but no vertical. It was my private den grow but there wasn't a day in the 20 years I was in there I didn't bang my head at least once, and I'm only 5'7". It taught me to grow nice short bushy plants though but I ended up with plants last year that I vegged for 6 months . They got too tall then a friend offered me his mothers to turn, I ended up with 3 of his trees and 5 of my own over 6 ft tall. I had to move. I had this corner of my work shop so wtf....we're faux legal here now so unless there's a complaint about my grow I should be good. Its only for me & my wife any ways so I'm hoping we're good to go.Very Nice and Organized Grow Room you have there and Big too
It gives me ideas to get mine in shape I am a bit more crowded but there is always room to improve
Beautiful plants too.
On some days I take them out and with the street light I have to cover it up at night
So it's more like a outside solar tent, next month should be much cooler
No flowers yet but they are growing about an inch a day with lots of new growth
Some spots could just be burns from water droplets on the leaves. I've seen dew on the leaves one day then burn marks where the droplets were on the leaves the next. I get them when I have poor circulation in my veg room because of too many plants. It doesn't seem to effect the upper leaves, just the lower fan leaves so I don't sweat it.Them Bluetooth monitors are working great saving me a lot of leg work.
Nice weather all week but still waiting for the flowers!!
Lots of new growth almost like they are going into a new veg stage with
leaves growing out of the stalk where the flowers should be forming.
At least they are fem so far. (Knock on wood)
They grew some more now at 30" and GSC at 19" now.
The cheap moisture tool I have, you know the green one with the rod sticking out of it,
gives me a dry reading in soil but when I stick a finger in deep it is still moist (get ur mind out of the gutter)
just the top 4" is dry. My Rule of thumb is, dirt sticks to your finger don't water.
Big fan leaves are looking very healthy but I did notice in the above pic's there are
some spots. I looked close and might be some bugs so I sprayed them again with smite.
Everything else looks good. Just waiting for those first dam flowers.
Looks good.If you look close you'll see the new growth is coming from the stem where the leaf
is growing from. lots of new leaves popping out up and down the stem.
But other than those burn spots the plant seems fine.
All 3 are doing this.
