Me too! :D

I keep wanting to cut her down. Just gotta wait it out. Just a few more days.....

I love her man. This was a nice little refresh of confidence for autos for me. I was scared I might attain a kray kray I couldn't handle with my limited space lol

Common kray kray. Pop! Loving the soil grow. By growing with different methods I believe we can attain more understanding of this wonderful plant than just sticking to one style.

Thank you! I have just one more auto going in a solo cup for the challenge right now. I want to try a few more out in bigger containers soon to see what they can do.

Interesting observation with the light intensity VS hours of light. hmmmmmm got me thinking now.

------------------

Might as well throw a couple shots up of the LSD-25 auto from Fast Buds at Day 54. For being confined in a solo cup under HO T5's shes doing so well! I've never flowered in a solo before. :smoking:

Day 84!

Alright I really wanted to let this girl max out her trichs and keep eating herself past the recommended flowering time of the breeder because I feel my conditions are far from ideal compared to theirs.

She's been on the ph'd water diet for 3 weeks. That may be a bit longer than some, but I wasn't exactly sure when she would finish so I wanted to play things safe at the expense of a possible increase in yield. Not going for the biggest yield of my life with this one hahaha, just trying to get some quality autoflower smoke to test out:D

Bare with me on the shots everyone. I was kind of in a hurry lol.

As you can see we have a ton of MILK, a bit of amber, and a smidgen of clear. I'm pulling this baby probably in the next day or so:shockedninja:

Also since this thread is anout learning to think different I will post up an update of my LSD-25 auto in a solo cup! She's at Day 61 from germination.

It's exceeding expectations by a mile. I can't believe how fat the cola is getting. I'm actually kind of scared it will tip over at some point:sweating:

This one gets the same feed as my whole nursery section. 1.0EC(500ppm) of veg+bloom at pH 5.9. No PK booster(shine), No +life(microbes). I will note that I did add +life and shine at the very beginning but omitted them very early on after seeing some other farmers who have great success with the base alone. I can see why now.

she is truly in senescence now.
I can see by the fan leaves getting consumed and dying off.

Wow Those colors coming out are the first change I noticed from your last update. Great job on flush timing

And I can see that milky frosty/fat trichome head look coming from the top down with nice fat chunky buds.

This is one of the best examples I've seen in a while on here of a nice mature lady.

You've officially killed it!

Right on R! I really wanted to ripen this girl out. Once I noticed the signs I knew you would approve. After pondering on your finishing times for a while and attention to trichome maturity, I realized one can really let them ride out for a while. I felt like I knew this to an extent but you really pushed the point home and it clicked.

Thanks bro! I try to keep these girls happy haha. It's been a long road.

--------------

Day 86

Harvested the Think Different today! She's hanging up now.

Got a couple root shots here for yuh!

They stayed fairly healthy considering a few factors that I believe were involved which I will now touch upon.

A)Shine(pk booster) was a bit much for this girl or maybe it doesn't fit into my watering style or environment. She got leaf tip burn early on from it which I don't mind if its a little but it did start to progress farther than intended which I believe can negatively affect roots

B) I had her sit in runoff from time to time especially during the flush phase so it would make sense that roots didn't grow down into the waterlogged area. This would also prevent the coco from reaching its maximum oxygen capacity.

C) I would imagine autos only have a limited root zone size? Not sure about this one.

After noticing how easy it was to get tip burn from shine I was eager to test my theory on the LSD-25 auto and things seem to be going just fine without it which is very nice to see. Just veg+bloom powder and that's it. Minimal tip burn at the same nutrient strength and no premature yellowing.

Maybe next time I'll try a plant with shine at only 25% strength and see what happens.

Day 63

Beautiful buds I saw that its claimed on the Think Different Auto will make 250-300 grams by them(they didn't specify plant or m/2). How close do you think you got?

Thanks broken! I did not even get remotely close to that yield! hahahaha! Auto's need unrestricted root space and quality lighting to truly achieve their max potential yield from what I understand. I really held her back with my conditions which of course was my intention since this was just an experiment.

I want to throw a couple auto's outside this year to see what they can really do!

Mine may not produce a bunch They are under 450w now for veg and will go to 600w for a week or 2 but then they will go with the rest under the HPS with 12/12.

It will be enough to get some quality smoke and respectable yield. Prob not enough to get the MAX potential but no worries. I don't think we are growing auto's to get huge yields hahaha.

Haha ya man auto's are finicky! As long as the smoke is quality the yield is whatever though. I think 5gal minimum is recommended? Not certain about that one.

lol we spend our whole life tying up fan leaves for yield, then we grow autos and say fuck it... lmao...

Dwc for autos... seems to be how you get yield... She is a pretty thing tho! No orange pistols?

The Seedsman site sells Think Different but normally they either show the yeild by sqare meter or plant but it just says 250-300g on this one

Ya I knew what you meant. but thats all rubbish imo.....
You aint good enough, he aint good enough, and WE will prob never be dialed in to the point that breeders recommendations actually have a real world impact on us. You give me the best grow room in the world and ok, maybe i will read that.....
