Lets not derail this too far lol..
But after reading some reviews & return/customer support, tbh my overall impression is that I'm one of the lucky ones that my Hydro II is still running great and not having to deal with any broken parts.

I running one galaxyhydro 600watt full spectrum LED consisting of 200 diodes, with each diode being 3watts. Its supposed to be effective for both veg and flowering. I've only had it running for a little over 2 weeks. No issues so far. Hopefully it gets me through many grows.

Mars, Morsen, Viparspectra and most of these type lights DO work to grow cannabis. However, when you read their specifications they are total lies. A 200 watt (drawn from the wall a true 200W) CANNOT provide 600 -1200 watts of light power. These specs and others are falsification. It just pisses me off that this kind of deception is just plain dishonest.

So, if you like your Mars or other light like it that is cool, just know that you are not getting what you are told. Just look at the specs and if it says 200w (true power drawn form the socket at the wall) it is really about the equivalent of 235W-270W of HID light. Typical LED efficiencies are about 30-35% better than HID so if they made a light that drew 200w from the wall and created 1200 watts of light (compared to HID) then that would be a total breakthrough of technology and people would ALL be using a cheap high output light and the supply would be exhausted in a couple days.

I am not trying to be critical of any given light source you may choose, just saying: Know what you are getting for the hard earned money you part with.

That’s why I bought a “600watt” I knew the actual draw would be between 200w-300w. However, I’m not sure the exact amount. At this point don’t care that much to test it. I did weigh the pros and cons of the different types of grow lights and for my growing situation, LEDs were the most practical and intriguing. I wanted to test the newer technology mainly because I was curious. If need be, I am prepared to invest in the more traditional grow light set up. Thanks for the information. Very informative!

Here's my diy

4x CXB3070 @1900mA and 2x BRXA25something (ancient bridgelux series, Vero7 is BRXC) @700mA. Crees are 3500K and Bridgeluxes are 2700K. Altogether 315W on the chips, power draw comes out at about 370W at the wall.

Does a decent job

Sweet. Nice job!

How much did you get from 315w?

Thank you

Still working on it. Last noticeable run was at about 275g, with some low yielding strains like GSC and skywalker. Constantly popping something I've never grown before and changed the environment twice so still working on numbers there.

Well I'd be pretty happy with around nine ounces if you're still dialling in. Nice work

I'm shooting for +400g. Would be feasible with the right strain.

I have a pretty heavy yielding cross I made

Bottom right you can see a few GSC buds to compare. 9 of these should nett at about 450g dry. Also have some other heavy yielders like Alien Grenades for example. Should be fun doing monocrops. Atm i have 9 plants, 3 different strains with 2 different phenos each so it's like growing 9 different plants.

See how this one goes.
