Thanks for the suggestion, but i am looking for a pump large enough to do several buckets, i would like to do 16 5 gallon pails, and i think if i used a single air pump in each bucket that would be a lot of extra clutter in the room. There must be a rule of thumb of watts per gallon or l/h of air per gallon of container??

O.k., so this is what i think we would call a base line for air per 5 gal DWC. I have some GH Dual Diaphram air pumps. They are 320gph with 4 outlets. I put 4 2 inch air stones in 4 5 Gallon DWC buckets. They bubble, but i dont think there is enough bubbles. So i turned of 2 valves and distributed the air to only two stones. Much nicer bubbles, but still think there should be a more vigourous bubble action. I think it should be safe to say if you aren't recirculating your DWC's then you should have at least 200 gph of air to each bucket. Any thoughts?
