Hey @Shaded_One I'll be removing the males from this grow this weekend and coincidentally transplanting the seedlings in my other grow as well.

Could I I just cut the base of the stems on the males, dump all 3 pots into a container, add more fresh soil mixing it up like crazy and amend the whole mix with the gaia green for my transplants? I've read both to remove and not to remove rootballs when re using soil but I was thinking I'd tear them to shreds If I don't remove them. Lol take that no till farmers one day I want to do no till but I'll save that for the future when I have space

My original plan was to use fresh soil for the transplants and just start piling the reused stuff in a plastic tub for future use but I'm wondering if I can skip that step and just use it again right now.

Why deviate from existing good plan my man. You would want to recharge that soil and remove the stump (it can dry out and be easily pulled out later) completely...compost the roots and all fine if you have room. Restore and reuse.

My original plans are always better than the ones I come up with on the fly haha.

Okay I'll go ahead and do that then. I'll be more comfortable going that route anyway and starting fresh in a current grow.

This way too I can read up More on recycling soil before I create my own problems

This is from the TLS book and has tons of suggested ads. 1 cup of rice? Interesting ingredients listed. If you can pulverize oyster shells (dont try this at home) add them for sure. @NotFrankster says azomite in proper proportion is a must.

I've got a bag of crushed oyster shell lying around somewhere for chicken
Feed calcium supplement maybe that can be used
Hopefully the gaia green all purpose 4-4-4 and glacial rock dust will handle everything for me. I've got blood meal but I'm hesitant to just start throwing stuff together lol.

Man them poor males have no idea whats coming

I'm a dumbass y'all I don't know what I was looking at the other day or what I took pictures of but #5 is female too. I came within seconds of chopping her until I decided to do one last check.

I'm glad she's female too I like her fat leafs.

3 females means we keep flowering in the one gals #1 smells delicious, straight up bubble gum now

Males, you will not be forgotten

@sambapati I just held the stems and shook the crap out of the roots until all the soil fell out of them hopefully that works too haha

Your babies need more magnesium I think. Overall looking good!

Ive found Gaia Green to be lacking in calcium and magnesium when growing under LED, Ive started to follow a modification of @Shaded_One reccomendation. He suggests 1 tbsp Gypsum and 1 tbsp Epsom every 2 weeks I believe. Ive been doing 1 tbsp gypsum every 2 weeks and 1 tsp Epsom every week and half or so. LED turns calcium and magnesium into macro nutrients in my opinion.

The galcial rock dust should provide the calcium but I think a bi weekly top dressing of 1 tsp epsom will do your plants good. The signs I see that say magnesium are the yellowing leaves at the bottom with the leaf tip curling up and browning, interveinal chlorosis, and the red/purple petioles.

Hey thanks for stopping by and that awesome feedback

I could tell they were lacking in something a while back back and I was thinking it was calcium due to the spots but I wasn't sure about all the other things you just described so thanks for steering me in the right path!

I don't understand it but I think youre right about the LED and cal mag thing. In my last grow using synthetic nutrients I had pretty much the same issues just smaller scale, but I think the same nutrients lacking.

I'll go ahead and get some epsom salt and follow your advice. My gut tells me this journey is only going to get trickier haha. Flowering in one gals has me nervous

I think once you know the sex, up potting and return to veg hours would be cool, you arent that far into flower, and people reveg plants or “ monstercrop” and it works. Good luck with it! Everything Ive seen from @Trustfall has been great looking!

hey lockebox I really dig the bubblegum phenos as well. Cinderella man is lemon tree x Indiana bubblegum x c99. When I grew out the Indiana bubblegum x c99 the male I found was almost identical looking to the Indiana bubblegum cut and knew that’s what I was looking for. Cindy likes to dominate but I think the selection toned her down a bit. The pure Michigan is goi g to bring in some serious color for you I’m betting on it!

Yeah im loving the bubble gum! Not only does it smell delicious, but it's my favorite as far as plant structure as well.
I've never taken any cuts of anything but I'm seriously considering giving it a shot with #1.

I'm super pumped to have 3 females, I can't wait to see how each one turns out and get a little variety in the harvest

May snag a bag of this after work and try making my own compost tea to get some microbes in the soil. Also looking to snag some cheap straw or something to use as a mulch layer to help keep the soil moist and give the microbes some darkness
I have no idea what I'm doing but I'm doing it haha
