Side note, I do also add Open Sesame, Beastie Bloomz, and Chaching when the schedule asks for it. But is it necessary to get you to the end? No. Does it help in my opinion? Yes.

Ok so the product itself is not a gimmick but the directions kinda are. Its only needed to help remove salt accumulation so some ppl benefit and others dont.

IMO its not necessary if you are giving good runoff and have good watering practices.

If you see a lockout or have a nutrient imbalance it can help flush the media in preparation to reset the balance of nutrients or rinse excess.

Its an enzyme like hygrozyme or komplete… what they are doing here is finding an excuse to add it to your grow everytime when its not needed so they can sell more.

It wont hurt anything and handy to have incase you run into an issue. But its no harm to use as directed when changing nutrients and a good flush before flower can help ensure that going into flower your not in danger of flipping and then seeing a lockout due to buildup.

With all that said…. do not change your nutrient ratios until week 3 of fllower or your likely to see an N deficiency as during the stretch then need that nitrogen

I have it, used it for one grow to try it, it was about as effective as just watering with plain water for 2-3 waterings or just a good ol normal flush, it didn’t seem to make any noticeable difference when I used it as directed in their feed schedule. It may help if you have a extreme case of excess salt buildup but I’d imagine if you had that type of buildup you’re going to have some serious issues with neut lockout etc going on already. I’d save the money. If your watering with 5% ish runoff on each watering you shouldn’t need anything like sledgehammer. Now if you’re having issues with water absorption and water is running straight through your pots then it does help as a wetting agent.

So this past week was the first that I cut back from water twice a week with nutes to only once with nutes and once with just straight water at about 6.8/6.9 ph. I’ve started to see some new damage that might be nute burn on the lowest nodes. What do you think?

Otherwise the plant looks to be thriving.

How’s the other leaf tips? Nute burn will show on more than one. That could just be damage from rubbing on something if the only one.

Currently watering only 2 days a week. Sunday and Wednesday. Sunday with 3/4 prescribed nutes and Wednesday water only. Come this past Sunday before I watered my plant was droopy and the discoloration on the only two leafs on the two bottom nodes are getting worse. One leaf above these are starting to show discoloration as well.

Also, there seems to be a build up of white residue on the top of my soil.

Send help!

Cut off any dead or dying leaves. At 45* Leavening them on doesn’t help and they never get better.

Not the best eyes but I only see perlite? It tends to collect up top after every watering.

This seems like the correct residue answer, unless you’re seeing a shiny/crystal kind of white buildup besides the white chunks. But I agree with zen it looks like perlite floated to the top, I add a ton extra perlite to my soils so I always have a bunch on top

I agree with Nick about the bottom discolored leaves as well just remove once you feel like it, they aren’t helping the plant, I usually remove anything low on the plant within the first month anyways once they have some fast top growth, those bottom leaves will only get in your way when watering etc plus airflow through the plant. I’d say she’s looking great atm

@Aqua Man
Can you please expand on that last part about continuing my nutrient ratios until week three of flour. Following the FF nutrient schedule weeks three and four differ slightly. Should I continue on with week three or four throughout the first three weeks of flour? And in these first three weeks of flour, should I also be adding tiger bloom and maybe even the other supplemental nutrients the bottom of the schedule?(open Sesame & Beastie bloomz)

So I’m in my first week of flower. 12/12 light schedule. I have added open sesame nutes as per fox farm schedule. I have just noticed damage on the very bottom leafs. Should I be worried? Other than that, she’s seems to thriving.
