Yea I hate that! It makes people disbelieve when they see the real thing. That's why I like to see it growing and on video. I show it as it is myself and damn proud when I get it right!yes! I also see a lot of photoshopped images of a bud so it’s hard to tell what is legit.
Not sure what medical conditions your friends have but I had a lot of luck with Dark Devil auto by sweet seeds. Plants were all harvested by day 63 from germination and I got between 2 - 3oz dried per plant. If I grow autos again, dark Devil would be my choice again. Really beautiful plant! Towards the very end, the sugar leaves were black and the calyxes were a deep reddish/purple. My husband likes the smoke too, according to him it is very uplifting, clear headed and motivating. However, I tried it and hated it. It’s not good for anxiety at all. It made me catastrophize every thought going through my head.
