I haven't grown outside since 2012, I'm in an 'other than legal' state so I have to keep it inside. But in 2012 I lived out in the boonies and used garbage cans filled with 3 year old mulched leaves that turned into straight up castings. I mixed it with lava rock and dug 3 foot deep holes to set them in. I hid 14 plants in a field this way for a 20 lb yield. My 3 sons and I smoked 4 lb and sold the rest. I have a pile of hard drives and one of them has the pictures.
I feel that ! Not exactly out in the open here either ! I did hide some in some elephant ears my first time! Had 4 in the back yard , then I got neighbors that peek over fence and say hi! So on the porch now. Lucky however that they aren't here most of the year , they live in PA, but they visit . Usually they are up north during flower. Hopefully I timed it right this year🤞

It's a toss up of what photo folder is taking up more space my cats or my plants!🤪

Brother, you may be a newbie, but based on the LSD pic, you're on the right track!!! I grew inside for a decade and started outdoors last summer. If I could grow something that looks like your LSD "crepe myrtle", I'd consider it a job well done. Rock on man!!
Thank you!!

Looking into fans . Last year had just the one box fan. Was highly insufficient. But better than nothing. Any suggestions for an outdoor fans? I don't know what kind of CFM to look for. Here are a few I found . But I would rather have 2 for each end of the porch .

Powerful airflow, 1300 FPM

Air delivery with 3 speed settings, up to 2800 CFM

Performance is rated at a maximum of 4150 CFM with a reach of around 30 ft. Escape your air-conditioned cave and enjoy the outdoors, even in peak heat.View attachment 2425410
I have a bunch of solar fans from my greenhouse, I plan to set one or two up around each plant outdoor this year. I just like not paying for the power

I have some questions on an issue I have experienced and may be experiencing again.

Leaf clawing ?

Last year I noticed it bad on the original glue but it was way later so I assumed it was ALot of things ... Like me over watering too much nutes and a cramped container. Did some reading ... Still left kinda confused 😕

This year , I noticed it on the purple ghost candy , started right before I transplanted. Was after some nutes , so I thought I over did it , Read some more , thought it was ... A combo of

1. Over watering
2. Nitrogen toxicity
3. Environmental stress ( hot temps)

So I backed off both,
Improved some I think ,🧐 it didn't get worse , but it has not resolved. However the new growth seems ok.

It's only on the larger sets of fan leaves that were present at transplant ...

Can it be resolved ?

So just trying to learn what it is why and what I need to change or consider or just leave it be .

Mine will start doing that when they are just starting to fold from being underwatered and under lit!

She got pretty wet the other day... Cause I was a bad lazy person! You told me to lift them , I got side tracked and did not. The day I lifted them she had been sitting in water all night apparently 🤣🤣! She was dripping water . So I have been drying them back , even pulled them in from rain just to be safe a few times .

But that makes sense when it I noticed it I flushed it, thought I over fed it . Dried it out . Was kinda off on the shade some. Cause it was super hot . So it's kinda just a scar basically?

It’s hard to tell! Can be a lot of reasons for it! I just throw them out in the sun, and if they are praying and tracking the sun, then they are happy enough! But as usual, watering is a big deal! Just have to watch that!

The interior top clips on the first two nodes from the top down can be relocated. They look like they will appreciate it . So gonna ponder the idea today😸

Since I have 2 pots available 😁😁😁Kicking around getting some autos ...

Got some GMO bud the other day , couple times have had a mendo or a garlic breath and really liked it, so I couldn't help myself when I saw a 5+3 pack of GMO x Mendo auto seeds , with a 3 pack freebie of Gelato OG and I got a 24.00 discount with my loyalty points 🤑 score!! 11 seeds total .
That was fast !🥳

Ok well... I'm at 45+ days , week 7 starting... Last night I saw couple white hairs and was like WTF , damn already!! A Few cuss words later 🌸 PGC is doing her thing ?? 🤣 Bummer , but it's fine . Took off all LST measures and gonna just let her ride !

I realized this year germinating or doing them later may make them smaller or either let me go longer into cooler months . I guess now we know 😁
