I think next time I might toss the fresh Aloe and Yucca into the food processor first, to increase the surface area...

Juiced up some fresh Carrots and Cannabis and gave some of the leftover juice to the plants this morning.

The Zkittlez is forming flowers already.
This is a seed plant and not a clone.
im not sure what the cause is.
Don’t know if it’s stress-related (don’t think so, because none of its neighbors are showing any signs of stress).

This is from a pack of seeds that were gifted to me. So I checked back with the dude who gave them- and he confirmed that none of the parents or grandparents were autoflower genetics.

As a seedling, this plant was extremely vigorous. It quickly overtook and dwarfed all the seedlings that had been planted 2-3 works before itself.

My buddy thinks it’s just getting too much shade, and that it will probably just revert back to veg in a couple of weeks...

The guys over at OCG recommended that I pulverize the plant material. So i smashed the sprouts up a little with a needle-nose pliers. This batch of tea looks a lot more lively

Plants are growing vigorously. Some of them have turned a nice dark green, while others are a lighter shade. Guess I need to up the feedings even more.
Had some Rapid-Start and some Clonex laying around in unopened containers, so I took a few dozen clones. Some are under a humidity dome, and some are in a 5gal bucket, with an aeroponic setup I constructed for them (15min on/15min off)

that one Zkittlez plant still appears to be in flower.

Finally put together a feeding system using a Rubbermaid Brute trash Can, Airpump w/ air stones, Sub Pump and about 60ft of vinyl 1/2” tubing.
It’s not fully automated. But at least my help won’t have to haul 5gal buckets around the yard anymore

The f4 Haze went into the 12/12 Flower Tent on 6/6/2020

SPIKES & LAYERS

I really dig the ‘Spikes’ and ‘Layers’ techniques that The Rev discusses in his (TLO) True Living Organics Book. I’m Trying out my own modified version of it. Still keeping to the rule that anything bottled must be OMRI Certified Organic.
Here are my Modifications to the Method:
For my Bottom Layer I am using the Composted Zoodoo (Primarily Elephant Maure) that I acquired from Wildlife Safari in Winston, OR.

For my Plant Food Spikes I decided to use the OneShot granules from NFTG

I’ve read the KNF book twice. I will probably read another five times.

I’ve watched a bunch of KNF videos on YouTube and I’m still pretty nervous about it, but I’m going to take the leap and start this journey using as many of the principles and techniques as I can.

Cooked Rice for IMO culture and placed in Mason Jar under leaf mulch that has been composting in our yard since last fall. Mason Jar with Coffee Filter, covered with kitchen screen strainer and then placed under the shade of a 5gal bucket. Bucket sitting on stones to increase airflow to screen.
rice water from first rinse saved for future ferments.

Quick Update:
Forced to stay inside because the heavy antibiotics im taking make me sensitive to the sunlight...

The increasing frequency in recent helicopter fly-by’s have really started to make me nervous. So I made the decision to cut 5 plants, and bring the plant count down to my exact medical/rec limit that I’m allowed. (Not counting the Light Depo that will finish early).
sacrificed the following:
The Zkittlez that had gone in to preflower
The Afghan Landrace
One Kosher Tangie
One Kona Gold x Acapulco Gold
I can’t remember the 5th one right now.
All of the plant material was repurposed. The leaf material is fermenting into a batch of FFJ. The stalks and branches were put in to the compost tumbler.

3 days ago I spent a couple of hours thinning out the bases of the plants, to increase airflow

I'm sorry about the plants, but if it gives you peace of mine, it's worth it. I have occasional flyby's from gliders and small planes, only a couple miles from a tiny local airport. All they can see on my deck is 4 plants, though. Never helicopters. So annoying.

Thanks. Every year I strive to do better than the last year; this year included. I’m growing more than I’ve ever grown before. Even at around 10 plants. They are doing better than previous years, already, but I’m still nervous as hell.
