As new grower indoor in soil and I'm curious on whats more important to measure by. Either going off of the recommended dose of nutrients per the manufacturer or PPM based on what stage of life the plant is in.
I currently use Advanced Nutrients full line for veg. I'm in the second week of veg and when i combine half strength of A.N. "recommeded dose for small plants" I come out with a PPM of 1100-1200 which seems extreme for the this early phase of life considering most recommended PPM for this stage calls for 200-400 PPM. So i usually water down the mix and have to use a PH up to get it to 6.5-6.8 despite there supposed ph perfect tech. So my question is what is the more important measure of nutrient feed the recommended specs orPPM

Read your plants, they'll tell you when you're feeding too much.
Nutrient mfg charts are for selling nutrients, the chart makers haven't a clue what your garden conditions, strains and grow style are. :)
