Interesting question! I've found that even bagseed or seeds from brick weed can surprise you with good genetics if given the right care, soil and environment. It might not compete with premium genetics, but with proper cultivation you can still produce decent smoke.

Bookmarking for future endeavors, it’s got some science behind it, because beans are technically a seed they’re loaded with enzymes that promote growth. I’ve heard of it through build a soil, they were using sprouts that were one or two days old from germination and making a tea with them.

Starts around 7:45 in on the episode and goes past twenty minutes. Interesting stuff.
