GG & Zkittlez in organic
Gave them some microbes aswel Over Here
That's it for this week
Yea i have a reg room aswel. Got a few actually but wont be using none for this grow.Looking hearty and ready to grow man...
Man that's alot of coco in there, I guess that's a 5' x 5' tent. You have a reg grow room as well right?...or am I thinking someone elses threadLooks like she's gonna be full...terrible problem to have I know
What are you feeding the synth grow may I ask? pH, EC etc all that stuff cause I'm nosey lol.
Do you have any early on thoughts about the Autopots so far?
Looks like I'm not gonna make my "AP's on" by Labour Day Weekend next weekend due to my stupidity...going to push as hard as I can tho but not lookin likely...
Thank you for stopping by and actually reading all the nonsense I post here @Aqua ManNice... im liking your style easy reading and informative. Great for ppl watching to pick up some info.
Always like a little side by side. Can't really say which will out perform the other as they are seeds and different strains but I think it will be fairly even.
Maybe a slight edge to the organic if nutrients stay in check because of the small amount of triacontanol but I'm not sure how much it really contains.
I admire organic growers in the sense that for myself I would find it more challenging and less forgiving. Atleast until I found what works but some if you guys make it look effortless when things are in order.
Auto watering for the win. Once a week... I can safely guess you have done this before then I take it.
If I can pick out anything to change would be just to reduce the light a bit. But every grower has a slightly different comfort level on how hard they want to push them and what they can get away with so only my comfort zone there.
Looking like it's gonna be a fun grow to watch
I'm organically challenged but I believe the kelp and alfalfa contain a natural PRG called triacontanol. I was kinda wondering if this would give it an edge. I can't say for certain but after using it I can say it definitely increases internode spacing and growth.Thank you for stopping by and actually reading all the nonsense I post here @Aqua Man
Funny enough organics is pulling the synthetic away in growth rate. Which is actually very surprising since we know with organics it takes the microbes time to break down all the goodies in the soil before the plant can uptake it , compared to synthetics we know it's available to the plant right away.
I'm a coco and synthetic guy myself, I'm no where near as good as you but have a few grows under my belt compared to orgnics which I have only done 3 times. But it does seem like I have the organics dialed in now.
Things can really go bad with organics if we mess up on something
This is actually my first time with autopots but I have played around with DWC before so just applying some of that knowledge with the autopots in similar way
As for the light I totally agree with you but I'm only using the 200w light at the moment, I will use the mars hydro once I flip.
Once again thank you for stopping by and please do feel free to give any advise and feed back
You might actually be on to something. I will have to do some research on it but what you are saying makes sense especially when I compared my last 2 organic grows.I'm organically challenged but I believe the kelp and alfalfa contain a natural PRG called triacontanol. I was kinda wondering if this would give it an edge. I can't say for certain but after using it I can say it definitely increases internode spacing and growth.
Yea i have a reg room aswel. Got a few actually but wont be using none for this grow.
Im feeding the synth a local 3 part nute brand called NutriGold, they basically a copy of TA but way cheaper and works just as well. In addition to that, im giving them silica & cal-mag aswel
Ph is at 5.8 - 6.0, will pump it up to about 6.2 now and than for calcium uptake and only if needed
At this stage the EC range is at 1.0 & 1.2
Im enjoying the pots, seems like everytime i walk into the room the ladies have grown 5 feet lmao. That could also seem that way because I only see them once a week
Really hard to tell with the info they give. I'm no expert on PGRs or organics but I have used tricantonal as it's in a product called massive and a few others.@Aqua Man I'm using a local organic product called Bio Boost Link HERE
If you have some spare time have a read in the description and gives us your thought on it
Honestly @sportyridr I know some growers love to push those high EC ranges but i found out that most plants do very well with a EC of 1.0-1.2 veg and even flower. With Some strains you can push it up higher but for me I like a lower number
I feel that there's a lot more important factors that impact a plants growth and bud formation beyond just nutes, I feel that nutes actually play the smallest part compared to having your environment & co2 dialed in. That's why I stick to a lower number on those ECs. But nothing wrong pushing them higher if your strain can take it
Really cant wait to see how you grow comes along
Just go for it lol. I just upgraded my setup on the synthetics to valve 5s, the water flow was just too slow on the old system and what a pain it was having to wait for the water to drain from the tank for cleaningI was asking about the EC just to see what you we're going to try with the AP's :) I'm with ya on the 1.2 for sure.
We'll see how it goes, been talking about it too long, need to get on with it

really enjoying the autopots, its really easy and growth rate is impressive

End of week 2 since flip and it seems like the ladies have stopped their stretch (thank goodness)
So for the flip I gave the organics a top dress of Bloom nutes and worm castings, will reammend again in 4 weeks and for the synthetics I did my own ratio of bottle nutes by balancing the grow and bloom nutes in order to feed abit more nitrogen during the stretch phase. As from this week onwards it full strength of bloom.
I did some super cropping at the end of week 1 of flip just to build those nice "Knuckles" we like on the stems

The synthetics have caught up with the organics during the stretch somewhat, I think it's mostly due to them being super slivers. The stretch on them is INSANE! One can only imagine how they do outdoors!
Also discovered a male Super Silver that I will be keeping for pollen, all the other super silver plants turned out to be females

So the boring part is finally over and now the interesting part begins. Next update we ll take a closer look at the ladies bud formation.
