I love Maxicrop soluble seaweed... as a foliar. As a res additive, not so much. I have tried with in a sterile res, an organic res, and a proper rhizosphere. Other than the later, it tends to stink after a while and, at least in our systems, other issues tend to present. I find this true of nearly all the liquid seaweeds additives as well, maxicrop, neptune's harvest, etc. I have however used it successfully without issue in true soil grows.
In any case I have never seen the same results using it as an additive as I have using it as a foliar but issues have always prevented me from using it long term. YMMV.
You will love using it as a foliar feed. The results are near next day, you can tell you did something... special. I have yet to have any variety not respond well.
Food for thought, many of the liquid seaweed bottles say to use it within 4-8 hours after mixing, depending on brand. They recommend not storing any unused portion. I can tell you that, after a few hours the solution smells like a wet dog. After a day or two well, watch out, it can be horrid.
