The count down is on as many of the strains are starting to mature while others are still putting on bud. There are cooler nights ahead with some rain but the plants are covered so they should do ok with the rain. It just reminds me that I have little time to get things done before winter weather and with harvest just around the corner time is becoming tight. With rippers already out I`m burning the midnight oil and that adds to the difficulty of getting things done. I will not be taking off when my son isn`t here, not even in the daytime to fetch water from the creek.

I`m looking at starting harvest around the 20 to 25th. Not that they will all be ready by then but enough will and the others will be right behind. Just going to have me and my son unless My daughters and families can come help. We will just do fans and hang to dry. Trimming will be later. I`m hoping to be able to get a dry trimmer and spend much of my time in the office trailer going over it by hand, making hash and working on a smaller winter crop this winter. With any luck the rain will mostly hold off until after it`s all dry and I`ve got it in a good place, after that I hope we get buckets and buckets of rain! Just can`t keep up tying these ladies! They seem to get fatter every hour and it`s tie and re- tie all the time. Even with that I have had some broken branches. I`m sticky all over! The worse is the GG4 but they are all so sticky. I`m also on 24 hour ripper alert and so tired and sleepy ! well leveled the office trailer and got the roof all sealed on the motorhome so stairs and hanging cords are next. Don`t think I`ll get to the ends on the greenhouses until after harvest unless I can get someone up here that does construction work and can help hang the doors and vents proper.

Oh going to work on my son`s car today and also the garden some. If I get time going to work on an oak shelf for the motorhome. I got to wait until my son returns tomorrow to take off to town and get the lumber for the stars and hooks and cord for the dry set up. I can`t be taking off with rippers hitting near by in the middle of the day time! windy today and rain storm is predicted in the next few days.

I took a few more pics of the garden but for some reason I can`t get them to download to my computer. Sorry!

I went to town yesterday. Got everything on my list but, needed to break the list in half so got to go again soon. When I checked the mail I found a pro- measure A rag in my mail. It was intitled " Butte County Law Enforcement Report" . It was full of lies and scare tactics on why the county supervisors amendments against growing should be adopted. This is the second attempt to f%@K up the grow laws here in Butte. The last time went to the vote of the people also and the people voted in favor of the growers. I`m hopeful we will win again but thought after reading the wording of the last bill there really wasn`t anything to keep them from trying it again and sure enough here we are again. I really think we need to put an end to this once and for all. Also I`m in favor of a total recall of the whole group of Butte County Supervisors as they do not have a clue what the people of Butte County want in general. I`d like to clean house and get a new Sherriff and DA as well! We do have a new Sherriff but he is just like the old one in all his methods and interests. The biggest problem is that anyone I`d vote for would run as fast as they can to get away from these jobs.

For the record I appose Measure A and endorse Measure B in the up coming Butte County Elections. For the up coming State elections I hope to see a measure by CCHI2014.org on the ballot and would indorse it. Please vote on these important elections and if you are not registered please do so. In order to vote on the up and coming Butte County elections you need to register by Oct 20th !

Got back from town just awhile ago and waiting until morning to unload. I got the lumber to make a 4`x5` landing with railing and steps for the office trailer and 16 4x8x 1.5 inch sheet insulation for the above ground beds in the greenhouses for winter growing. Also picked up 6 more cans of gas and 4 bottles of propane gas so I`m stocked up for fuel for now. My son took off early for the weekend to visit his GF and has a dr. appointment in the morning so not sure how I`ll get the water tank back in the truck but I`ll need to fetch more water before he returns on Monday. Oh also picked up one more battery for my solar battery bank. these things run $ 279.00 each out the door and I`m going to need 4+ more of them to run a Satellite and HDTV but the two I have should run my stereo ok . I had to take back the inverter because it was modified swine wave as I need pure swine wave inverters for the electronics. It sure does cost to build a off grid solar system of just 500 watts ! But hey I won`t need the noisy generator running when watching TV& blue ray or satellite & TV or even the stereo system. I should be able to charge my phone, laptop and spot lights with it also and without the generator having to run!

I guess there is a small war going on around here over water. I just had someone come by and they thought an other party was taking water from a stream just above there property so they used there water tank for target practice. Learned two more growers were unable to get water for this years crop as their source dried up to soon before harvest. I`m lucky this year and just going to make it. Not sure about next year`s crop. I hope to get a crop of some sort in this winter just incase. I`d also like to still get a couple of 2500 gal water tanks. If I have to buy water towards the end I still may be able to pull one off next year. They're predicting normal to slightly above normal rain fall this winter but warmer,so there may not be a snow pack to refill the sources towards the end of the season. Not looking good!

Big storm coming in any time now. Got stuff put away but going to have to BBQ some meat in the rain. It`s looking like rain most of the time through November so won`t be able to get to a winter grow this year. Also other projects are over for this year. I started harvest but most my stuff isn`t ready yet. Maybe because it`s covered and stays a little warmer? I`ll harvest and set the office up to do a few seeds for moms and cloning when harvest is done. Not going to depend on my sorry ass or local unemployed carpenters next year , instead I`ll look for a licensed contractor with a business . I can`t get the work done and what I do get done isn`t very pretty. Local people are just to undependable....so. Thinking I`ll have a both wood stoves and gas heaters put in as well as wired inside for 120 volt for fans and lights. I also think I might have the greenhouses set up for light depravation, that way the plants can be run a little late in winter and won`t go from flower back to veg in the spring. I might even get a big enough generator to run AC when I need it and buy a few AC units. Everything will have to be set up so it can be broken down to move down to the creek when I get my property cleared and ready for that so a big ass generator and propane tank will need to be on trailers. I`m thinking propane because I can have them come in to fill it , with diesel fuel I have to haul the fuel in. This means many trips to town or would have to have a very large truck . I`m thinking I could use an m1008 Chevy military 1 1/4 ton truck but it would need to ether be a 6.5 turbo diesel or converted to a 427 with fuel injection. No duals on the back axel and they are 4x4`s. Nice to also put in a hydraulic dump bed kit if possible. Well just have to wait on harvest a few more weeks and see how well I do. It`s looking to be a little better than last year and I`m already set up a lot better so I should have some cash to get started on the property next Spring. Buds are harder and frosty so I`m hoping to get maybe 80 units? Should be more than average dispensary quality and looking to be competitive with about half the indoor I`ve seen in the dispensaries. The genetics I had donated to me were top notch and even though I didn`t have them all dialed in on the first grow, I got it very close.

Looks like I need to go an other 2 to 3 weeks before harvesting most f my plants,:-( . I think it`s because the weather temps are below average this year ? Most are 99 % milky and a few have 10% amber. They are frosty as hell and the buds are solid and heavy, so much so that they cannot be propped up or staked any better and the colas are bending down everywhere. A few have broken and were mended and doing ok. I`m worried that I`ll start to have full on stock failure and broken/ collapsed stocks if they get any heavier. But most are just not ripe enough yet. It`s getting late , even for me, to not be in harvest yet. I think my latest harvest ever started on Oct. 31st once. Most the seasons I have things going by the 20th of Oct. I`m hopeful they will ripen more and I can get some of them started by the 30th. It is still looking like a good harvest is at hand, just going to start later than I`d like.

I decided to pull the tops off about 15% of my plants and farm trim them to hang dry. Filled up one room in my office trailer. They are drying with the aid of an electric heater on low and a fan. It`s raining today so I`ll spend the day inside watching a few Netflix movies some tunes and some good smoke while the cola`s dry. The green house will insure the rain lets the rest mature without to much danger of mold. This is much better than the last few years grows! set up so much better! Still need to be set up for winter grows with lights , CO2, heaters and blackout ability. Then I can grow indoor style and have all the water I need for the grow!
