Got up late today so not going to make my quota of water runs . Good is; beds just don`t need watered today, bad; had to pull 7 large males. I still have plenty of large replacements and actually have more plants than I`ll be able to keep up with anyway. Just got through watering the plants in tubs so can`t transplant any today. I really feel tired ,soar, and run down. I`m still working on sexing a few potted plants and may still find a few males that slipped by me. That`s ok I need to cut my overall count down and may end up with less than 99 plants due to not being able to keep up with that many anyway. I still think 100 lbs. is very likely for yield. Most likely a very conservative estimate. I could still get twice that much yield.
If I can get three tunnels and my dry shed done I shouldn`t lose much to mold this year. With the new trimmer I should have a quicker time trimming and be less dependent on trimmers showing up. Security still needs to be done but it`s covered very well for this year.
Thinking I really need to build a temporary cabana over the RV. It would provide more room when my son comes, more drying room if needed and would allow for a wood stove this Winter. I have the metal roofing and can cut poles for much of the frame work just need some lumber and plywood, a window and doors. Maybe some cement and I already have a mixer. Insulation and some finishing touches. It would have to be taken down in a few years when I get down to the creek but much of it could be built to come apart in sections and reused. I was thinking of working on a swamp cooler, converting it to 12 volt. That way it could be run off solar and batteries in the hot season, cutting down on generator usage and fuel costs. The generator would be better used for fans and lights if I decide to convert the tunnels into full greenhouses and run an extra crop right after harvest. I think if I look around for used lumber, doors, windows, etc. I could put a cabana in on the cheep. Thinking start with lodge poles and build a cover over the RV 30 ft long x 20 ft. wide. It would then be twice as wide as the RV. Then put in a skirt around the bottom of the RV and build a deck in front, frame it in with a window and 2 doors on ether end . Add a wood stove, ceiling fan and wire for lights both 12 volt and 120 volt. I could move my leather sofa, entertainment center and oak table and chairs into the cabana from storage, I also have the hunter ceiling fan and dinning room chandlers from the house in storage. Could make it cozy. My brother has Direct TV so I could get a program card for my Direct TV Go that runs off 12 volts. It`s got a flat dish, screen, and receiver in a suite case. They won`t let you have one as your main signal but it is made for taking on camping trips so finding someone who has service is nice. It would only cost the price of an other receiver per month. I could also hook up a dish on a poll set in a tub filled with cement and if I got ahead enough I could add a 32" flat screen HDTV. Oh and my old Sansui component stereo system out of storage would be real nice ! Might sell off most the rest of the stuff and save $70 a month storage fees.
This Winter when I get ahead I want to buy a jeep to run to town in when I don`t need a truck. I will also ether fix the 85 Silverado 4x4 or go through the 88 3/4 ton 4x4 Silverado. Thinking of doing both but may make the 88 into a flat bed with a larger water tank bolted down or make it into a dump bed and add over load springs. It could still be used as a water truck and a dump bed that way. I`ll need to move fire wood and get gravel for the road at some point, not just have a dedicated water truck.
