Measuring leaf and root tempreture

Can those of you who are taking meaurements of leaf tempreture or root tempreture please give us an overview of the equiptment you are using to take measurments, and any iasues or observations you have made while using your tools.

Any infrared temperature gun should work for leaf temperature or any surface temperature..
