Same here @william76. I ran an old northern back in the mid 90's that I got from an older guy at the time. His story was that he got it in the early 80's from Oregon and brought it to Michigan. To this day it was the rankest dankest strain I've had. Which is weird because northern is always lower odor. I often suspected that it was a shiva skunk (northern xskunk). I've been searching ever since I lost it in 2009. My main goal for the Afghan 88 is to not only find a great female but also a male. If it has that rank smell I may cross it to the old school northern beans to try to recreate that old stinky northern I had.

I'm loving what I'm hearing in this thread, very much so! I'm a big fan of the old frosty, stinky shiva skunk too, I would love to get that back one day.

I've stumbled upon an old hippe guy here in Australia who I got some weed off the other night, it was that pale lime green, with bright orange hair skunk, it was a one hit and quit kinda stuff. He has grown out the same strain for over 30 years! The guy said he'd happily trade me some seeds if I could get him some original cheese seeds...I am currently on the hunt as I want those old seeds.

U wont find original xheese seeds tho coz they dont exist,u could get a x tho!.76

Good luck man, and that stinky NL sounds good too! Is that the 20 year old one that you used?
