So much space, neatly organized, at least you have duct tape holding the vent and fixture cords used to hang fly traps. Otherwise I'd think you were a complete nutter. Just kidding....nice stuff, I like the spacing. You have a nice clean grow going on there..Keep the duct tape on the wall

lol. Still a few plants short of full in there. But i do like to keep it pretty spaced out.

And its Gorilla tape. Duct tape could never seal those semi rigid pipes through the wall for 5 years. ;-)

I'm on well water and I've never used Cal/mag ( I've not seen the need ) I'm now running some auto's and I've been getting leaves with blotchy sections that look 100% like Calcium def. I bought a jug and I've added 2.5ml per gallon.( bottle says use 5ml ) for 1 feed but I'm not sure I should continue. Plants are 4-6 weeks into flower now and it seems pointless at this point.

My question I guess is would you ( without an accurate water test ) add cal / mag as a precautionary measure on photo's I have in veg?...can it do more harm than good if not needed and is 2.5 /gal effective if it is needed...?
I'm only seeing this on the auto's and not on my vegging plants but could it be plant specific as in these Auto or would you think its more an indication I do have low calcium in my well water that comes in right now at 6.5 ph an 110ppm
not a pic of my leaf grabbed from Grow Weed Easy

well what is coming out? Usually ph or salt buildup is the culprit. But at 110 ppm you could be a bit low but what about lime or oyster shell in the potting soil?

If it is truly a lack of calcium you should see new growth without spots in a few days or sooner with the cal mag. If no other plants show it i would have flushed and re fed lower first.

And be sure it isnt fungus or leaf septoria or something else. Got a pic of the actual plant?

Hey @PipeCarver i had recent plants show mag striping on lower leaves that started climbing and i also never use or need cal mag. Turns out i was using over a year old bale of pro mix hp. Lime has been compromised with age. The micro life eats it up over time basically. Pro mix recommends using before a year old. For soil like fox farm with organic inputs use within 6 months.

My feeding has been low some way too low I cut off the lower leaves that had these issues but there are some with a few spots on them. I'll get down there aft lunch and take a few pics. I only have this issue on flowering auto's.

I have a couple of them that are lime green and way under fed but the rest are fine just the few leaves I cut off with this issue were in worse shape than the pic I posted. Lunch time I'll post you some pics a bit later....
I added a Table Spoon of dolomite because of low ph ( 5.5 ) to all my plants but .5ml PHUP per watering has me back to 6.5

.Thanks for your help

Low feed will of course be a problem. And you should pick dolomite or cal mag not both at once. Too much calcium causes problems like too little does.

Ya I ended up using the Pro Mix Mycrrohize? I don't like it...I don't need additives to keep my ph in the 6's with Sunshine mix or the Green World VPW30 I like...I tried to get more soil last week and they're still out. I think its just a learning curve thing with this new ( to me) mix. Now that I have the ph in control

About 1 month apart, the dolomite didn't seem to do much alone. I just got the Cal/Mag I thought it couldn't hurt to give it a bit once and a while if I see more leaf problems.....An ongoing battle these plants are...easy.to grow.yes... tricky......sometimes.... finicky.....always....never ending learning curve.

pro mix has been solid with ph at 6.2 through every grow for a year. Now when i checked the ph had started to fall. The silica (protekt) helped to keep it up even as the lime was compromised in the old soil. I didnt notice soon enough. Pro mix bales use 2 kinds of lime for short and long term stability. Dolomite and calcitic.

However you will have to provide all nutrients with fertilizer after the first week even with seedlings. I dont like that so i just went back to ocean forest. But i have to feed so many different size plants in veg easier to water only with the ocean forest and just transplant up as they go.

I dont know why anyone said growing is easy. Huge learning curve for my ass. And i still didnt see the root aphids in time or the old soil causing nutrient problems.

Looking at your flower area and I want to ask how many days in do you flip? Then what is your yield like (roughly) per plant? The reason I ask is I have been letting mine veg for 100+ days and I expect 12 - 18 oz per plant. I do think I am past the point of diminishing returns when it comes to plant size.

thats only a 4’ x 7’ area. I grow them to about 16”-18” and move them into the flower room if there is space available. They are in 3 gallon final pots and biggest yield i had was just a few grams under 8oz. Average per plant has hovered around 5.5 oz or so. Every plant is from a different seed unless im re running a cut so i never know what to expect. Keeps it interesting though. I want the constant variety.

but 18 oz. i would have to grow a plant under each 600 instead of 8 different ones. And i can veg to flip in 5 weeks from seed with a vigourous plant.

you might do even better with an 8 week veg and a few more plants.
