I love not mixing perlite but I honestly would prefer a longer dry cycle.

I dont think sunlight supply stores will carry fox farm anymore.

So depending on local properly stored supply (this batch was not and has gnats) I may go back to pro mix hp. But i like the water only veg cycle or drive farther to a store i know has a great selection inside their clean store.

i haven't finished ur thread yet so i don't know if u have switched ur mediu. considering i use the old paring knife and twism yet. based on what u said about watering I'd say go with pro mix BX and add perlite if u want/need.

while i have ur attention what height are you flipping at on avg. and what height to they finish at on avg. strain dependant i know. my up pot style will also go from cup to small cose to gallon than to 2/3 gallon finished pot. difference is my medium will be coco and i brought some stoned for aeration if needed and i have perlite on hand too. i have a height issue with a low ceiling basement so a gorilla shorty 4' x 4' won out. they make a additional extension that makes it regular tent height with their included extension. so i don't want nothing past 3 ft. using 1 600 digital hps = old school not dimmable.

i've always used promix bx except for a small trial w/coco that had me switch and 2 hempy's to see if i could do it well enough. I LIKE THAT THE REALITY IS U LEARNED THE PLANTS YOU RAN WELL AND THE DIAL IN WAS SIMPLY PROGRESSIVE as were ur results kudos. i'm delighted that you let folks know what they have been ignoring for years and many still will. you don't need a bunch of additives and shit. it's just like those who crench if u say miracle grow ferts 15-30-15 lol. Yet, i saw my mentors and others use it with outstanding results over and over again. I've moved on but not by much. the ferts i'll be using in my soil for moms etc. are alaska grow and Vermi Bloom (not sure about links so) google will pull it up fast.
a friendly dry fert it's not expensive I've used green light root stimulator with great results in the past but i can't find it now. my bottle is 10 yrs old and brought 3 palm trees back to life after a few days time 4 tops. new growth down the stem where the leaves were all stripped. i've never seen that happen but i've never had that issue before. turns out it was a p/k issue and i probably ran out of ferts in my cups. checked the roots and they looked white and cool and i was elated it wasn't broad mites for a second attack on my comeback.

i don't pst here much i just lur alot but ur thread and results i haven't seen since planet ganja/overgrow days. definitely inspiring . i've got a little moto gear. looked at ch-9 but never pulled the trigger probably won't other fish need to be hooked. thx for all this wonderful porn. oh you cup holes. a lot of extra scir work make your holes 1/2 the size and u'll get plenty of drainage . i use old school pairing knife and twist cut holes around the inside and one in the middle never fails. i've been using espoma organic this go round and used miracle grow moisture control last time. i like epsoma products though cause they work and are low cost for normal gardeners not pumped up for pot growers.

Sounds like you have found what you like to work with too.

Ch9 guy stopped sending seeds to america so i am going to be running new seeds. I started with Useful Seeds. Got chocolate thai s-1 and chemdog svt x bag of oranges. Both plants just started blooming.

Also dug up some old saved seeds and have a classic seeds headband running. Among other projects going.

The plants go in flower when there is space so i have got i to the havit of bending all plants by week 2 to try to form the bushes you see in here. I train them down to be 30” tall over the 10” high pot x 30” wide (round).

But i guess they are about 15”-18” tall before stretch on average. Short and long flowering plants can need very different veg times to get mature enough to flower for me. Critical mass for example needs 8 weeks at least under the flourescents to yield what a 4 week vegged sour diesel cross would.

And i dont mind cutting up the party cups. It has always worked great and only takes a minute. If i had tons of plants i would probably use a power drill through the stack.

I think i answered your questions. Did i miss anything? Thanks for looking through my thread. Im glad you enjoyed it.

I have only been doing this for 5 years. I had no gardening experience or even really watered a houseplant before I planted my first taprooted seed. I grew northern lights auto in a 4x4 tent with a 600 mh/hps.

And i only manage a small medical garden. Its a whole different level managing a lot of plants. What I do is like a hobby grow. I just practiced until it really produced. And i havent stopped. I work in the garden every day and still harvest what we need. And new variety of buds every week or two on average.

i must have gotten confused with the OP of the thread i was checking out. you chimed in and had a link to your perpetual. i think thread was about whether defoliation actually worked in essence.
i backed tracked cause some shit just sticks with me. the 35 years comes from your 1st post in this thread. only it wasn't growing , it was 35 yrs smoking i must have zoomed right past the 5 yrs growing. u are way ahead of the curve dude.

Why? It gets much worse for home growers from now on. And medical will be forgotten.

Here is a recent harvest.

Warlock x Vintage 2006

Warlock is a famous plant by Magus Genetics and Vintage 2006 is an early CH9 plant with a cubed mix of Sensei Seeds Jack Herrer, Power Plant, Hash Plant and Afghani I believe the ch9 hybrid.

The seeds were old and in the original paper pack (later used foil sealed packs) and i had some trouble germinating amd as a seedling. But she pulled through that and a few nutrient stress/ recovery weeks we had.

Took 12 weeks to finish with the issues but she came out great.

Hung dry cut up branches with bud leaves intact 9 days. Jarred about a week now. (whats left lol patients have no patience).

Smells strong citrus. Tastes like pineapple and has a flying expansive head high that settles into a mild warm body buzz after a while. Not to be smoked before bed this one.

Well i finally had a fatal issue. The clones i have been working with for months got white mold inside the cloning dome. Only a couple were affected but i trashed all of the rooting clones and cleaned everything. I still have 2 seed plants vegging. Only the plants in the dome got mold.

So back to seeds. Heres one of the new strains. Chocolate Diesel s-1. She sure has the Thai traits I have seen before in ch9 stuff.

Got some old ch9 seeds likely from the early 2000’s in the propogator. Gryphon 33. Its the G-13 hash plant x lemon thai x jack 33. Ch9 always seems to lean towards the original genetics so i was pretty excited. But even with the heat mat they have not germinated on day 3. I will let them go but dont expect much.

Got some other stuff packed away. We will get some Stella Blue dream s-1 a try again soon. And i have some C-99 too from trades a few years ago.

I do love growing from seeds. :-)

Been raining and thunderstorming lately so the trails are soft and cant ride them so I took a nice ride around my area.

These pics are from when i got back around to my “block” as we used to say in the neighborhoods.

I only use the little dome to protect the emerging seedling. The cap on top is open and i remove it when i see green above soil.

Im sure it isnt needed but i have always done it since i overthought things when i was new.

The dome with the moldy clones is not pictured. It was a standard clone dome. That i needed for the clones.
