Or you can do that. I use a drill.lol but I'm definitely going to try your method out once the beans I'm germinating sproutsI thought you guys were going to tell me what a waste of time cutting the cups is. And to use a soldering iron or a cigarette to poke holes in a bunch of them at once like most growers.
The drainage is excellent the way they are. :)

She looks like a wizard with all them tail poking up! Nice job man!Harvested the foxtail haze plant looking pheno BLT 4 tonight.
Smells like pepper and fuel. Maybe some fruit will come through from the background with time. Haze leaning phenos take the longest time to cure into smooth smoke in my experience. But have the best flavor and maybe high when they do. Funny the market wants dense little balls for buds. The connisour shit is definitely old school sativa. At least in my opinion. Always a place for melty couch lock weed too but i like weed to be fun.

Shame I tapered her off nutes too soon. The “burned leaves” are advanced potasium deficiency. Well just plain deficient. This is why I dont automatically “flush” or give water for weeks at the end. She did not reach her potential.
Shes still pretty bad ass though and i have plenty more tries going. :)
It's all I've been using since I started growing again. I love it!!! I switched over from ocean forest. This stuff works out for how often I need to feed my AACT. I dont like drying out my soil too long. Why do you like your longer dry cycles?

Growing with longer dry cycles lets the roots search out more for a bigger denser root ball and in flower seems to keep them healthier.
When i water too soon i get calcium uptake issues and then mag. But I know there is plenty in the soil, nutes and water.
But mostly i like less work for the same results. :)
Less work for the same results... That's my jam for sure. It's why I use oversized pots, so I only have to water once every 4-5 days or so. I dont like to be a slave to my garden. It's also why I use bamboo instead of netting. It's easier. And allows me to move plants around easily.
I peek in for about 10 mins each day, once or twice a week I do 20 min of work in there. 3 times per crop cycle I have about an hour of work In there. And trimming is just once every 3 months.
Well I work every day as the plants are all on different cycles. But use stakes like you say and move and rotate plants each watering. More angles of light. More buds.
I am considering transitioning to 2 individual monocropped grows full cycle by next year. I will set up a tent in my basement for the other grow.
Then i will have more time off.
I'm on the same boat. Trimming is my least favorite. I still hand trim, I have to mentally prep myself for trimming every month.:nailbiting:Well I work every day as the plants are all on different cycles. The less trimming more often is the part i like best. Keeps trimming sessions to a few hours max. And i can do it alone.
