Toxic Blue 33 gave her clones and is put in 12/12. I put them in after t-5 flourescent veg about 29” to 26” away from the lamp. They immedietely get double the light intensity they had in the veg tent. Some plants shy away a bit at first but this girl is still growing new leaves and spreadng right out for the rays. :-)

Left to Right; Citral POW 33, Citral POW 33 x Greenbud, Toxic Blue 33.

Black Widow x Blue Lemon Thai growing big frosty buds. This pic doesnt do it justice like some i have posted around but the buds are truly turning white. The Black Widow side is Shanti White (Black) Widow.

Still waiting on the old plushberry seed to taproot. Havent given up yet. May drop the stella blue dream s-1 as a backup. If the clones all root i may throw the 315 lec into the new 4x8. I still have to clean and set up down there.

I have a secret jarden 2x3 propogator tent. I will need to set it up with the 2’ 4 bulb t-5 i have set aside for more veg space. I will have to do clones and seedlings in the 2x3 and bring them upstairs to veg in the 3x3.

Just what I need. More gardening. Lol. I still have not applied for disability despite losing my carreer due to it over 10 years ago. I could use a day off though.

The old plushberry seed taprooted. Took 3.5 days. Couple days more than my fresher seeds take but the heat mat and controller seems to have been a good purchase.

If anyone is interested here is my seedling process.

Everything cleaned with isopropyl alcohol. Seedling in moist coffee filter in a dark container in open baggie til tap rooted. Heat mat set at 80 degrees farenheight.

Watered in to good runoff so there is some space at top of cup. This is Mothers Earth Groundswell potting soil. Similar to ocean forest.

Make hole with unsharpened pencil about a centimeter deep.

Carefully take tweezers and plant taprooted seed root up in the pencil hole. Cover over and pat down soil gently.

I use plant label stakes. I indicate the name of the strain/ cross and the number. Sometimes there are more than one so the numbers only go with what is in the garden. I dont label the 40th BLT number 40. If she is the only one she is called #1

On the back i label the sprout date and the transplant dates and when they went i to 12/12. Can always tell how long they have been in their pots at a glance.

I cover with a little diy dome but only to keep soil moist while sprouting and to protect the little thing from the wind. It comes off when i see green. Seedlings dont need high humidity. Thats for clones.

Clean and dried off tray.

And she joins the party. :)

Here are the 4 Toxic Blue lower branches i took. Water cloning is easy but slow.

Veg gets well water only as they transplant up to the final pot. I never adjust ph and translanting gives fresh nutrients from the new soil. Average 6 weeks to go to flower. Most plants show pre- flowers before going in.

Harvested the foxtail haze plant looking pheno BLT 4 tonight.

Smells like pepper and fuel. Maybe some fruit will come through from the background with time. Haze leaning phenos take the longest time to cure into smooth smoke in my experience. But have the best flavor and maybe high when they do. Funny the market wants dense little balls for buds. The connisour shit is definitely old school sativa. At least in my opinion. Always a place for melty couch lock weed too but i like weed to be fun.

Shame I tapered her off nutes too soon. The “burned leaves” are advanced potasium deficiency. Well just plain deficient. This is why I dont automatically “flush” or give water for weeks at the end. She did not reach her potential.

Shes still pretty bad ass though and i have plenty more tries going. :-)

And here is the plant I bent yesterday. I have already pulled the top down a bit more. She is growing fast.

Group shot.

Only 2 flying gnats tonight. I cut up sticky cards and hung them from the low branches right over the soil.

Here is one from a few dys ago. Caught a few adults.

Still adding mosquito dunk water but now it is in all veg water and nute water. For full saturation each time.

Here is the new Sunlight Supply potting soil they made to compete with ocean forest. Sorry i dont have a pic of the bag but it is colorful and full of hippie graphics like fox farm.

In the pot is Ocean Forest mixed with 25% perlite and loose in the bin is the Mother Earth Groundswell potting soil straight out of the bag.

Very similar although the mother earth uses lime instead of oyster shell for calcium and buffer. And a few minor nutrient differences.

The groundswell has me watering every other day with mature flowers in 3 gallon nursery pots. The Ocean Forest with 25% large perlite added every 3 days. Which I prefer.

I am having very similar results with the new soil and that is to say really good. Transplanting up through veg every 2-3 weeks lets me use my well water only through veg and most of transition.

I love not mixing perlite but I honestly would prefer a longer dry cycle.

I dont think sunlight supply stores will carry fox farm anymore.

So depending on local properly stored supply (this batch was not and has gnats) I may go back to pro mix hp. But i like the water only veg cycle or drive farther to a store i know has a great selection inside their clean store.

It's all I've been using since I started growing again. I love it!!! I switched over from ocean forest. This stuff works out for how often I need to feed my AACT. I dont like drying out my soil too long. Why do you like your longer dry cycles?

Growing with longer dry cycles lets the roots search out more for a bigger denser root ball and in flower seems to keep them healthier.

When i water too soon i get calcium uptake issues and then mag. But I know there is plenty in the soil, nutes and water.

But mostly i like less work for the same results. :-)

Thanks. Although I have grown much bigger buds from the same or at least very similar pheno. She is really sticky though. And smells strong.

The cut up branches filled my dry closet up a lot more than I expected. So we will see if yield is on par.

Less work for the same results... That's my jam for sure. It's why I use oversized pots, so I only have to water once every 4-5 days or so. I dont like to be a slave to my garden. It's also why I use bamboo instead of netting. It's easier. And allows me to move plants around easily.

I peek in for about 10 mins each day, once or twice a week I do 20 min of work in there. 3 times per crop cycle I have about an hour of work In there. And trimming is just once every 3 months.

Well I work every day as the plants are all on different cycles. But use stakes like you say and move and rotate plants each watering. More angles of light. More buds.

I am considering transitioning to 2 individual monocropped grows full cycle by next year. I will set up a tent in my basement for the other grow.

Then i will have more time off.

I actually quite like the way you do it. I find the concept of cropping out a plant every couple weeks to be a great way to keep stock varied. The only reason I dont do it that way is because it's more work, and more to keep track of. But I really like it, and would probably grow that way if I didnt have 2 jobs and 2 teenagers keeping me busy.

I'm on the same boat. Trimming is my least favorite. I still hand trim, I have to mentally prep myself for trimming every month.:nailbiting:

The less trimming more often is the part i like best. Keeps trimming sessions to a few hours max. And i can do it alone.

I do mine alone, but it takes me a full weekend usually, 9 am utill late at night for 2 days straight. I hates it. Happens 4 times a year.

Everyone I know has trimmed too often. Nobody wants to help anymore, and with pot being so cheap here you cant even bribe people with free pot either lol.
