Man o man did we guzzle down beer at candlestick park..
betting hundreds of gallons over the years.
We would heave 12 packs over the fence from outside to awaiting friends inside..
Bring in cooler with only ice and sandwiches , they would inspect and send thru
Could easily guzzle 12 to 15 beers in 9 innings then go see the candy man for some nose candy post game...
Snuck into games many times thru the press gate as well...Jump the chain and run....
Heckled our team as well as opposing teams.
Smoke tons of weed there as well.
Got busted once for smoking a joint in the team owner Bob Luries seat by Hazel a long time usher who saw it all . While being escorted out by several SFPD cops I talked them into letting me go..
Saw the stones there once as well as the Great Wallenda who did his high wire act in the wind and rain across the stadium...
Also no hitter Oral Herchiser Dodger pitcher we were rooting for it late innings....
Games live are not the same these days.......

You know brother, I felt the memories in your words only spoken by a true life long fan.. Hats off to u...
On a different note, not only are those games lost maybe forever but maybe the nation as a whole is not the same. The Cubs found themselves in the 9th inning... I suggest our country do the same....

I just want everyone to know that my team is better than your team.

Carry on.

Yea almost. Except we have more world series wins in the last 5 years than the cubs do in 100 years........

Cubs are a great team. I will be rooting for them to win it all. I hope the dodgers advance, then get stopped by the Cubs.

Read my post again and tell me which team I am talking about. (clue: neither, it was a generic diehard fan comment typical of a sports comments section.) You already know this but I should add that I'm not funny, just funny looking.

I think it's the second head that makes you look so funny...

I thought for sure the dreaded red socks would be there. They had like six? players batting over 300. I was a Dodger fan until 1957 when they left Brooklyn and became a Yankee fan for the rest of my life. So today I will wear my Brooklyn Dodger hat. I do think the best STORY would be Cubs against Cleveland.

For the longest time I thought some drunk guy running out and sliding into 2nd and then getting chased by cops was sort of like the 7th inning stretch. It happened at every game I went to at Wrigley as a kid, once grown I was shocked it was not officially sanctioned.

I gotta be honest, I still don't get it. Sorry if I overstepped. I miss a lot over the internet I would normally catch in life. Like sarcasm ext. My bad.

Don't apologize, it was more of a jab at disturbing fan behavior. It was a lighthearted needling which we all need, and you are not the first or the last to have issues translating mood from text or missing my unfunny jokes. I'm not perfect

Yep, a friend of mine used to rent in of the buildings and that was one of the perks. This was before it got really expensive, like 91 or 92 ? Summers in Chicago were fun. GO CUBBIES !!!
