storage...

i personally havent had any problems with law enforcement so this method hasnt been tested!!!!!
here is how i store my medicine!!!
i never trim wet!!!!!!!!!!!! and leave quite a bit of stem too.
when the plants are dry the stems are not...i place into large contractors bags. from that point i play the open close game for as long as it takes to makes the plant snap off the stem....at that point i close it up tightly...this can begin the cure process. i check often and breathe the bags from time to time. at that point i store the bag in storage till it has cured for at least one month!!! i do test burns along the way ! when its ready for market, i trim the plant material and ready for market!!!!

the whole time the medicine is in storage, all the sugar leaves remain on the plant with the larger stems as well. making the medicine not look "usuable" i believe this doesnt show "intent"
a word the law likes to use...

but who knows???

Yeah the "curing" is definitely up to the arresting officer(s) and how they interpret the law, and of course your district attorney. Being in Bozeman though, I doubt you have anything to worry about considering that Gallatin county is the most progressive of all the counties at the moment. I like your idea too, keeping it on the stem is probably the best thing that one can do.

I am really stoked I came across this forum with fellow montana connoisseurs like my self. SILVERTIP I would have to say is my favorite strain to grow and smoke next to the famous S.A.GE. which I have not seen to much of at all up in montana, but I do PLAN on bringing to light a unique colorado blend of S.A.G.E to the location.

Montana has some of the best smoke I have ever tried, And the climate up here along with the water is a miracle. Let the breeding and the fun of genetics and this wonderful plant begin. I was in Three Rivers a week or two ago, and I would have to say yes, next to my personal and one others I have seen, they have some of the best really really fine smoke in the location, and I plan on coming in and re arranging another meeting to possibly get signed on board with the fun.

I just got done pollinating a silvertip with a very stinky bubblegum male, I am stoked to see what happens, and if it doesn't take, I have pollen to try again. I am very thankful for the progress and the beauty of the montana scene, I believe it is very important to give many many thanks and respect to the medical industry up here, to keep it alive, and legit, so all us connoisseurs and breeders can keep enjoying the symbiosis with such an incredible plant.

Greetings and blessings, I really appreciate the compliment. Welcome to the farm, your knowledge and love for the plant will help this site tremendously! I am very excited to try the S.A.G.E., I remember you mentioning it in the store and it sounds quite interesting. By the way, if you get any extra beans of your silvertip/bubblegum I would love to give one a crack!
Where did the bubblegum come from? I have to agree with you on the silvertip, one of the funnest and prettiest plants to grow, the smoke has grown on me a lot over the last couple of years! I have a breeding project coming up one of which is to make fem seeds of my blue cheese and also attempt to cross the pollen with many of the strains in my bank, including erkel, gdp, vicsfruit, and barcelona bubblegum.

I got the bubblegum seed from a friend, It was the only one that was male, so I utilized it. And I have some pollen in the freezer, ready to use again. When I harvest and see what my success is I will definitely consider you on board with some genetics, I am sure they will go to good thumbs.

Your project coming up, seems quite full of possibilities with those genetics. I am stoked to see what will be created out of the line up>

I just tasted a montana strain that I created by accident, and it is fire. It was not what I was expecting at all...The lineage comes from a bag seed that sav kicked me down. This was in a bag of so cal masters. It turned out it was a cross with pineapple, and the one seed was a female! It grew the earliest frosty nugs and they reeked like pineapple but looked like the masters, it grew like stretchy masters, and the nugs get density regardless of light...In fact they like the outer periphery of a garden more than the limelight. It is a strain that many patients find as their goto daytime pain reliever. Every Patient that has Crones or IBS, or Colitis all swear by this lucky bag strain. The first time I smoked it my buddy and I could barely move on the couch for about 20mins and this is from some heavy smokers. WE thought we had found the grail. Unfortunately, the strain doesn't really dispense those effects unless you smoke it two days after it comes off the stick. after that it becomes a super mellow pain reliever. Great daytime smoke...my only quarrel with the strain is that the flavor just needs something it will never have. We have run it in a multitude of applications and it always tastes a little bland. If only it tasted like it smelled... I ramble...good smoke:) Anyway, the first time it was grown out we took it way tooo long...like two or three weeks and there was one branch packed with seeds..no male flowers to be seen...no hermis on nearby plants...at least so we thought. It put out about 40-50 seeds. I recently popped three of them. WE got three very different plants. The Pineapple Delight is as purple as they come...but I think I will find a better pheno but she sure is pretty. The two phenos I found are a little bland as well...they are sexy as all get out, but the flav is not really there and flavor is a big one for me. The seem to be crossed with the Purple Urkle(sp) that had been growing next to it. The one that I just sampled looks and smells to be crossed with an old school cut of the cotton candy, which was a gift from sav. It has an amazing candy pineapple aroma and the flavor is right on! The stone is kick you in the face good :) Long lasting and mildly psychedelic. Pleasantly clear head with a solid body effect, but you know the medicine works!

Stoked to see such a great Montana scene developing! We grow some serious cannabis up here and I love to see everyone sharing.

Well I have been gone for a bit and it looks like this MT section is really starting to pick up, nice. It all started in the "OK Montana, represent" and I believe I posted the first pics to set it all off. Well to get back on topic I have a few made in MT strains that I have or am currently working on:

1. Sour P (Purple Urkle X NYCD) finished
2. Purkle (purple Urkle X The Purps) testing
3. Night-Train (Trainwreck X Double Purple Doja) in development
4. Purple Gooey (Afgooey X DPD) in development
5. ( LA Pure Kush X DPD) in development
6. (Purple Urkle X DPD) in development
7. (The Purps X DPD) in development

PS The reason Bozeman Kush probably hits the back of your eyes is the Purple Urkle in her. My Purple Urkle does the same thing when you smoke her. Bam right it the back of the head/eyes LOL.

That blue queen sounds so nice, I cannot wait for you guys to come down and let me sample her. Jackdupp had nothing but the best things to say about it, so my curiosity is heightened to say the least. I remember trying that double d, that shit was straight fire! So darn good!

Mountain man I want to try anything related to the old cotton candy, some friends in bozeman popped off some in a greenhouse this year, the flavor was just as intense as the smell, which I have never seen from the candy. Needless to say I want to run her again!

I am stoked on the variety of strains that you are working on...it sounds a little overwhelming...lots of checking to make sure shit isn't busting nuts out. Are you sharing these strains at all? Running any testers? Interested in any horse trading? I know its prolly silly to ask..but it never hurts to ask. Keep it up and I hope to sample some of that action soon.

I would love to see some nugs to confirm myself. I keep hearing it is around but still don't believe it. The GG I know never had a seed one in it and heard it was very stable. It was around for many years and never once did a seed show up. I am not questioning the lumberjack story but do question it being the real deal or what everybody loved so much around here.

Morn' Farmers,

Kootenai's D.W. - is great with a very distinct flavor...once you hit it, you will know that taste and she has great strength behind her too! I think we need to get that bitch out there more......

Their Zooberry is a wicked purple with a twisted high. The Blackberry Kush would turn so purple it was damn near Black. The Mendo was frosty with a distinct purple that had a mellow high, where the BlackBerry kush was very frosty, knock your dick in the dirt high that smacked you in the forehead. I would like to play with it a little more......and pick it apart

Sanvan's VicsFruit - I had a chance to stop by his shop and he sampled a few things with me, but DAMN. You could call this beauty "Vicious Fruit", name would seem appropriate...an insane taste, like JackDupp put it. You almost taste something different each pull....but the high is great and grabs you rather fast and unexpexted as she taste so sweet.

My Blue Queen will be ready to sample Sanvan very soon.... It is Blueberry dominant in taste, but the sweetness of the SpeedQueen only enhanced the the flavor of the finished product, almost giving it a pungent lip smacking taste that stays in your mouth for a minute. The Killer Blue was made from a cutting of DJ Short's BB....that was dominant in my KB...just not a great yield. The SpeedQueen was a little better yield just not as dense, but I loved the high of the SpeedQueen as it is very energetic, clear, social and paranoia free high. It is pretty stable only showing two phenos....a BB leaner and a SpeedQueen leaner in structure, but the taste from both phenos are very similar with both taking a Blue/Purple tone at finish. I recently lost my SpeedQueen leaner and currently searching for that pheno to do side by side for the keeper. I have not tried a BB strain here that has this intense flavor...would love to try a straight BB for comparison. I would also like some professional opinions about my strain...nobody wants to baby the weakling...you feel me... I can take critics

I do have a Blue Queen male that I would like to start some projects with, he has the thickest purple stalk and his B.O. (lmao) in veg is very pronounced.

My first BQ cross I am thinking about working is with my pure Afghan Kush from World of Seeds. I managed to get three phenos, all very distinct. I am currently flowering these out side by side pheno hunting. The Afghan Kush has a great soaring high, and the taste...wow...imagine Fruity Pebbles.

I am also about to flip an Acapulco Gold...original supposedly! Story goes like this, I met a California Grower from the 80's. This generous hobbiest gifted down some seeds from his old days in cali....the gifts were labeled bags from the 80's....1984 Acapulco Gold(x2)...1987 Hawaiian(x2) and one called 1988 No. Cal(x2)....anyway after germ only one AG popped up and it was a bitch. I am waiting to try her before naming her.

I am about to go into a seed test...this is joint work with my brother in the Seattle area. He took a clone only strain from the Seattle area, they call Gold Rush and crossed with Blackberry Kush...see what happens stay tuned

Yes bakedreality, thanks so much for the props on the Vicsfruit, that really warms my heart! That bluequeen sounds so damn good, blueberry leaning? Shit that sounds right up my alley. I just got a cut of the blackberry kush, so excited to run her! That seattle strain sounds wicked, I know they have some super fire getting grown for years in that area.

If Kootenai's DW is the same that he brought to me one day I can verify the fire claim on her, reminded me a lot of the 91 chemdog, citrus with a diesel twist!

You guys bring so much to the medical cannabis community, we have to get together soon and start a breeding project......imagine that a fourway/fiveway breeding project, I think we could bring some serious heat to the court!!!!!

Sanvan I will be by there with that BQ when it's ready...I did get a couple of clones to run myself, of the seattle cut. I would love to see how your Blackberry grows out. The Blackberry I had was a very beautiful plant, she just became unstable.....I was searching for the straight Blackberry to start crossing...but would totally dig cutting of BB Kush.

It is in fact the same D.W......very distinct flavor....yes fire

I agree with you on the breeding projects... I think with the male genetics and the elite mommies we have statewide it would be sick. I would love to do joint breeding projects...... I believe this could take Montana into the Spotlight.

Hey BakedReality,

I'll chime in on the Blue Queen. This was the first strain that I purchased as a MMJ patient. I remember clearly the day I got it home and medicated. I had gone on a long mountain bike ride the day before and my legs were really tight and stiff. Two BH later and my legs felt like rubber, all the stiffness was gone after about 3 min. The taste is amazing and one of the best daytime strains I have sampled. My #1 daytime strain is Super Lemon Haze but the BQ is #2 in my humble opinion.

In fact, this is the strain I used to introduce my mother to medicinal cannabis. I took her some BQ and let her get some vape hits. She has been in several car accidents and was seeing a pain specialist. After about 30 min. she fell asleep on the couch and got up later to go to bed. In the morning she told me that was the best sleep she had in a long time. But the thing she raves about is the taste. I get regular inquires of "do you have any of that Blueberry Pot"? Ha!

I am very interested in your upcoming Blue Queen x Afghan Kush project. That will be a pain relieving strain for sure. The taste should be out of this world. Which pheno of AK are you looking at for the cross?

Kootenai - I had a chance to see and sample the DW when Baked ran it. One of the more memorable strains and a powerhouse. I agree with BR, it needs to get out more because it goes so fast. I think I was toking nothing but DW for 2 days straight.

Had a nice little chat with my old friend today. The GG came to MT in 1980. It was held closely by a select few for many years. He called it stickem to the wall, ahgani/indica lineage. It came from a professor in WA who supposedly introduced the NL to the masses. He also said it was very stable and was ran hard for sixteen years before it just wore itself out which I have seen others do too. The last of the GG I knew was about 2000-2001 and one of the last z's I bought I ended up kiefing out cause it was too harsh to smoke. To all the people who say they have it I question. They may have some crosses of it but doubt the original. And with crosses being said, I would still love to see some of that. One of a kind that GG was. PEACE.

Agreed!

Had a buddy that lived near MSU that had a big sac of the GG in '97. That was some good shit! From what I remember it was a very pistil dominant girl. Had a thick skunky sour taste that coated your mouth for hours. And a stone that brought out the bros that you haven't seen in a while.

I was hoping that it was a legend that was still floating around.
