thx guys! appreciate all the love

my major fault as a grower is I like to experiment and am always changing up my grow style - guess Im looking for the holy grail of simplicity while maxing yield and growing buds to be proud of

so Im already planning how to simplify and streamline this setup and I will give more details on that later

the main thing is to get my feeding down and dialing this shit in

the roots coming out the side are for the most part air pruning - the bottom of my pots is like a netpot so there is major rootage coming out the bottoms

the trays are watered 3 times a day (every 8 hours) have the timer set to flood once for 5 minutes - takes just over 4 minutes to reach the overflow which is set at the halfway mark on the pots

then 2 more times for 2 minutes - just long enough to soak those coco mats and replace the water sitting under them

I have considered at some point going to 4 or more 2 minute waterings - my theory is that the root mass under the mats will wick up what they need - and my top watering/supplementing will prevent salt buildup

I expect that when its done and I flip the mats the roots will have filled every channel under them and will look like a mold of the tray

sorry I cant take the time to quote you all - if I miss any questions feel free to pm me

back to the salt mines

looking killeR :)
so is there anything covering the roots(besides the leaf canopy) in the tray or is it just wide open-going nuts>?

wide open going nuts lol - the canopy wasnt that shaded when them roots started popping

Im using some new products under recommendation from a good friend and well we can all see the results

great white drench every 2 weeks along with ful-power (fulvic) and soul synthetics amino aide top feedings 2x a week

soon as the roots figure out theres water under them mats they go for it

I learned that from a previous run e/f with hugos on top of mats in the these trays

What are the benefits of that coco mat in the tray brah ? im using smartpots in a flood & drain table ..roots are shooting out the sides and somewhat the bottom but theres no gap so roots coming out are restricted i think the mats looks like something the roots would benefit from ..i respect your input you sure got a dark greenthumb Ali..G.

my trays have channels running the length - the roots go right through that mat and then fill the channels in the tray soaking up everything that doesnt drain out - the mat blocks the light so the roots just go nuts under them

also Im using small containers - soon to be using coco blocks - so the space in and under the mat gives them more room for the roots and it anchors the plant so it doesn't want to tip over

not that it could with that baddass PVC trellis in there lol

Are you using the Soul Syth Amino Aid throughout flowering or just in veg?
