Thanx much widow,
I am really liking the second one.
That look's like it would fit in a 10X14. or am trippin?

Widowmakes can I bother you to do one more?
Layout would look like this O is Light x Is Plant :)

OxOxOxO
XO O O X
OxOxOxO

Edit: Center 3 Would be 1500's The 4 outside O's would be 600's, and the 4 inside O's would be 1k..

Edit Edit:

Maybe

Do you want different spacing for the different lights and if so
1500W (BAD ASS) ? inches
1000W ? inches
600 ? inches

I'm flushing my girls, so it'll be tomorrow some time.
:icon_spin:

I am confused.
I just set up my tub's in the 21x14 space I have.
And there is plenty of room and that is with 46 in center's and 36 inch from center of tub to wall. So I made up a couple of sketches and did some reading.
Am I missing something?
I beleive DD said he ran 12 and this is the space he said he uses.
(my room dimensions is 30 x 25ft with a 10 x 10ft room cut out of that for res's, ballasts and chillers

Pic 1 is of the 10 tub's set up.

Pic 2 & 3 dif light pattern's.
TIA for any input.

Hey Boss, have you thought about just doing 4 plants and 5 lights in the mpb system to get a feel for how it works first?

Also, the original layout for the 10 plants should work out great for ya and should work in that space. As long as you don't let them get too big! The updated diagram (attached) with the 600s in the corners seems to be ideal.

These diagrams are really handy but it won't make complete sense till you place the buckets on the floor with some kind of placeholder for the lights. I just placed my buckets around and 40" centers will be perfect for my space and plant size. Keeping my plants under 4t tall and 5ft wide, they will fit in a 10x10 space no problem. Just pushed my buckets along the sides closer to the wall.

Just create rows with all the tubs (like you already did) and space the centers 40" apart in both directions. Line them up even with each other, not staggered. Then, take every other tub out and put a light in it's place. That's the tic tac toe (x's and o's layout).

like this...

then replace every other bucket with a light like this...

x o x o x
o x o x o
x o x o x
o x o x o

Hope that makes sense!

There are so many different ways to configure the lights it can get pretty confusing. Some may be more effective/efficient than others. Really all depends on available space/room shape and cooling power.

Boss, are you going all bare bulb or you gonna use cool tubes? Sealed with co2? With tubes, it's a little harder to run the venting with certain configurations.

Thank's for all the help everyone.
And easy thanx much, I will start wth 4. I am panning to have the space and equipment all szed for 10. So when I do increase it will not mean replacing everything. Just adding on.
I am now also leaning toward's what I can fit in the 10X14 area. The reason being I am buying a light controller with a flip. So I will be able to run 2 room's from one set of ballast's.

I love the way you guys are preplanning this.. I do construction and have an in house architech I wish I could just hit him up with the info and have him draw a complete set of plans, just like you would see for any construction project. Each catagory would have its own page or pages. Fuck man that would be sick as fuck and you could then sell them as a complete planing package with parts list where to find the parts and everything. One of these days when I have some time and have that guy drunk enough I just might propose the idea to him to see if he would acutally draw something up with load calculation and lumen output and everything.

The lumen output can be printed out with a modeling program that maps intensity using different colors. My experience is in PRO Sound and we use modeling programs to map sound pressure levels for the audience. After doing a lot of modeling you learn what to expect and don’t bother with it unless there is something strange going on or someone wants to pay for it.
Can imagine a team like Mission Impossible that would show up stealth like build a grow room and system and disappear. LOL:animal0012:

Well.
I am finally seeing an end in sight.
The room is buildt. Electric ran. A little more plumbing and then pic up my A\C today.
I have 4 Purple kush clones from oaksterdamn.
They went in the flood table on 2-24.
I put a 1,ooo watt in the veg room up high and will lower it a little each day once growth start's.
Here is a couple pics of them. Plus a bonus pic of some GDP coming down on friday. I am still running my soil grow.
The MPB are a an add on.
I was going to snap pics for you guys but it is a mess in there. Every morning I have to move all my tool's into the MPB room and clean the hell out off my work area. So I can tend to my girls. Then move it all back out and start construction.
This is the cleanest room I have buildt yet.
It is 14x10x9'6. 2.5 ton split a\c. Co2. dehuey.125 can fan filter combo. To start it will be 4 plant's 5,000 watt's.
Next run will be 6 plant's 12'000 watt's. And I will add another 2.5 ton A\C at that time.

I'm right with ya on seeing an end, Boss. LOL I have to move things around to work on my setup, too. Gets to be a pain in the ass! Slowly but surely. Lookin good bro. btw, your ojd grow is looking sweet!

Get out the note pads, this one should be good. can't wait to see how you have it all set up!

Let me start off by again saying.
Many,Many thanks to DD's for all the great info.
Also too all those who jumped in first and helped show us
the ins and out's.
So I just fired it all up. I have some leak's to work out.
And I will be changing the back flow and drain setup.
I have a drain for my dehuey's that lead's out side. So I will have the back flow for the flood protectoin but it will T off to the on\off valve going to the drain.
Still have the A\C to install and the Co2.
And my drains are a bit high. But I am happy to have the extra fluid space. So I will lift the bucket's with another bucket rim.

It will be 4 plant's with 5'000 watt's.
2.5 ton A\C. Co2,And I still have to decide on a dehuey.
I am sure I am going to need it untill winter. it is usually really dry here. Plus the bulb's are not vented.
And my split A\C work's as a dehuey and air purifier.
Enough talk here are some pic's.

I have watched a few people do this now and it's always exciting. Looks Great Bossman! Nice job in there. Can't wait to see some big ones in there!

Looks really good!

Love the chicago fans. I need to pick up a few of those myself! I really like all your air circulation. That is one area my setup could use some work.

When are the girls going in? I reccommend 36 inches at least :)

Thanks lost.
The girl's will go in around 9th to 15th.
I want to have a nice healthy root mass.
Plus I want to run the system for the entire time to work out any kink's.
And to help remove any possible plastic odor or flavor.
When I take a drink from the drain if it does not taste great then the girl's wont go in.

Excellent job on the room man! Gives me a goal to reach some day!

I love putting the elbow on the drain, its really sloshes the water good
