Praying hard today. Strting to see preflowers on everything. Dust filters came in for the carbon filters. Need to get them on, girls are already starting to get smelly.

Poor ak 47 is lost to the jungle. I still got plenty of head room to raise my lights. But getting to much further away from the AK and I may have to drop in a side light. Supercropping has kept the canopies pretty level on the other 3. Jack got main stem pinched yesterday again. Not hard just a bit to keep it slowed down.

Dont think im going to need to trellis this. I may end up taking that out and putting it on the other bed. I think this one is going to be ok and Id like to get that Jack Herer off the AK 47. Might not have to move the light on this one again. I dont know what it is about the back corner of these beds. Both of them have the small plants in that corner.

Took some shots from the side today. The Jack is almost to the light. Going to have to lift it some more. The Kali47 should be ok. I got in there and really cut the Jack back on the inside to make sure she wasn't getting crowded.

Damn, so close. Few stems purpling here and there on the fan leaves. I lifted the light after taking pics. PPFD on the Kali47 is at 760. Kinda thought it would have stretched some more.

Hugel bed is looking good. Had to increase water frequency. Starting to see a slight burn tip in that Northern lights. Dropped in moisture meter and sure enough, a little dry.

NLB got a double head after the one pinch I did on it. And a pic of the last bud of White Cookies.

(Bloom day 22) I got the trellis cage in for the Living soil bed. I suspsect that everything but the Jack will hold itself up. This should at least make the Kali47 not be so crowded. Will proly do one more leaf defoliation in here in a week. Nothing major.
Dimmed the lights and took some shots. Was noticing some dry tips going on so I got to poking around in the bed with the moisture meter and they were under the moisture level again.
Increased watering on the living soil bed to 8 min twice a day. that will add a additional gallon of water to each watering. Pushing 8% water to soil volume right now.
Hugel bed was looking fine. I will say that the wood is mostly spongy material now. I can push the moisture meter all the way through the bed in most spots.

I am not seeing a downside to the Hugel at this point. I'm actually to the point on this, that for starting a bed, this may be preferable. Across the board you see some of the best grow systems have a water table. This provides that in a organic setting. And its kind of a double win. First when your setting it up and saving money on the soil mix/nutrients. And then a year later when that wood has started to decompose and hold water.

Living soilbed front 2 are Sage N Sour on left and White Strawberries on the right, C99, Pineapple Express (getting frosty).

This is so inspiring to me. I fell into living soil accidentally bla bla bla. Lots of learning curve happened after the soil was purchased…(the pots). I couldn’t justify a bed as a brand new grower. I’m in the earth boxes to be able to manage them. If all goes well and I learn and am successful, I’ll move to beds. After a couple/few runs. Not as much concern with size now because I’ve already decided to move to the basement. Beautiful!!

Thanks for checking it out! If or when you go to beds, build a rolling platform for them. If you go 4x4 bed figure 1800 lbs weight capacity wheels 4-5". Bigger the wheel easier to move around.

I’m so glad I didn’t try to put the thing upstairs 🤣🤣.

We’re moving to the basement!!

I’ll be sure to get them and will be reading through your threads. ✌️

That’s still a while out. I’ll get these boxes down and learn the soil, and the plant. I keep forgetting that part now. Haha. Of course I know exactly what it will give me if done correctly, so, I do just need to feed the soil!!

Forgot to mention earlier, I hope you’re feeling better.

(Bloom Day 27) Couple of snaps. Got the prefilters changed on the carbon filters and checked moisture levels on beds. Everything is in top shape. Knocked the smell right out. Fans run a little harder now. Ive also flipped the fans and they are blowing down onto the canopy directly. On low its a nice breeze through the canopy.

Sadly while I was taking pics I got called off to work. Only a few shots of the Hugel bed. Up front we have Pineapple express on the right and C99 on the left. You can see the twin towers in the back from the Northern Lights Blue. Critical peaked up a bit. I got in there and trimmed everyone up so lights is getting in good. I'll get some shots of the living soil bed tomorrow sometime.

Northern Lights Blue and Critical. Critical looking like she got a little light on watering. Not progressing any further so she should be getting a good amount. Tomorrow they're going to get a gallon of Mikrobs and some Big6.

Well Jack Herer here hit the light and got hit with the super crop. Poor Girl, should have topped her. As is, I laid her over. This plant got crazy lol.

Looks fantastic! We use a lot of hugel on my budget farm. I am big fan. Looking forward to watching it all work out with your grow.

(Bloom day 48) Some of these are definatly going to run longer then others. However I think the entire Hugel bed is going to be done about the same time.

Nice. We reuse our soil as well. Our current grow soil is about 3 years old. I love your bed. No till?

Does "no till" include turning your garden over with a backhoe?

Cause last year, I turned a spot in the front of our log cabin that was the nastiest clay soil, into a garden, by mixing in all my old trim and stems, then went out in the woods, scraped up a bunch of organic leaf mold/material/sticks/forest stuff, dumped it into my garden, took the backhoe and mixed it all up. I grew AMAZING tomatoes... and 2 BEAUTIFUL male weed plants that the bees loved.

That is a beautiful freakin bud right there. I have to admit when I saw the first picture I was like "what the".... but I have been reading up on soil reuse and using cover crops in a living soil grow. I might have to give it a go.
