despite what lot of people think colombian gold is

a short semi indica looking possible hybrid

it will grow a fine plant and not the 16 wk kind either

your photos look great

the oaxacan mustang does look VERY chunky for a sativa

you will see the oaxacan in convex's thread is very skinny

your plants are so healthy

thanks for this thread ..can't wait to see the finish

you are fortunate and focused to have collected the beans before mexico gets

indica/ized...like Jamaica

and that is imho not good..

people like you and i will make sure the genes don't

get diluted

Yes, there has been quite a lot of hybridization going in Latin/Central/South America over the last few centuries.

It's definitely not a good thing when the goals of hybridization are mostly for commercial profit.

I met quite a few commercial farmers down there that have been crossing Afghan Ruderalis with Highland Sativas to create non-phototropic short stock strictly for export.

4 to 6 foot tall bushy plants with kolas the diameter of a cannon barrel.

You can buy a pound of it, rolled up into cone of newspaper, for around $100 USD.

I'm anxious to find a keeper male in the remaining seeds, so I may preserve this line for all to experience. :character0025:

nice! i cant wait to see more!

I plan to keep this thread updated as the project progresses.

Thanks for checkin' in. :hi

Totally stoked on all these pure genetics threads poppin' up!!! Jus' responded to your PM Marta, and im totally stoked, also subbed up! Cant wait to see where these take ya!

It's nice to see that others are interested in more than just clone-onlys and elite fem crosses.

Hopefully, I can take these to there full potential and put on a good show.

Thanks for following along with me! :talking

You might like this pic Marta;) IBL Mazar... but the fun part is the rug under him... is came from Mitla....
DSC_00152.jpg

I missed Monté Alban, 5 days of Fiesta fireworks, two days in Puerto Escondito, 16 hrs of switchbacks in a "bus", and no meds to return to... layed down for a nap at 11 AM and woke up at 9 AM the next day...
Man Oaxaca is one of the most beautiful and welcoming peoples I have had the Honour of being embraced by;) I love Em!!

That Mazar IBL looks fantastic!

The people and culture are amazing, something I think everyone should experience!

Their celebration of life is never ending!

Thanks for checkin' in, I hope you stay a while. ;)

Plants are looking stellar Marta! Love me a new project to follow! Keep up the good work!

Crom

Thanks!

I'm using a custom organic soil-mix.

The pea gravel is used as a mulch, which maintains a more consistent moisture level in the soil.

When the mulch is removed during repotting, you can see root tips poking through the top of the soil.

It allows the rhizosphere to encompass the entire pot, as well as promoting fungal/bacterial growth in the soil.

I use this soil-mix/technique combined with ACT's only. :muscle

wow you have a greenthumb don't you.everything is looking stellar

I can't take all the credit...

If it wasn't for this community, and the precedents set by other microbial growers, I would be nothing.

Your work, as well as many others here, has been an inspiration to say the least. :evilgrin

MARTA this is an awesome project you've undertaken....
I really hope you find some nice pheno's!
There are definitely some hidden gems that occasionally surface out of Mexican land race strains
I found a sweet grape flavored Oaxacan pheno out of some Oaxacan seeds I collected in 1980
Most of those pheno's took 12-14 weeks to flower but they truly provided a long lasting soaring, cerebral high of the highest quality.

They also made excellent hybrids when crossed to pure Afghani's and Kush's

I worked that line for over a decade and would still
be working it if not for my own dumb mistake of misplacing them while moving to a new house......

Everyone sure looks happy and healthy!
Good luck pheno hunting! :pimp:

Thanks bro!

Yeah, plant "B" is lookin' like it's gonna fill in real nice...

Plant "F" is at 21 days today, it's lookin' Super-Sativa all the way!

I flipped Plant "F" at 16 inches, she is now 5.5 feet tall...

The bud sites are about the size and shape of a single marble.

Plant "F" may go 90-100+ days. :mmm

Clean, Detailed, and Healthy as can be! I love it! I just gave this a read through and really admire you and others commitment to keeping these genetics alive and prospering. Would be very cool to get my hands on something like this one day! Flipped at 16" and now 5.5' is crazy stretch, excited to see how long that goes for and to hear your smoke report. Best of luck with everything! Sub'd

Thank you for the kind words!

Nortel was the final straw for me...

I have since stopped working for others, and begun working with others, to better the world we inhabit, not capitalize on it.

Beautiful words and a beautiful garden Marta. I too share the same out look on life.. most of the marijuna in my area is of medium potency commercial grade so the good meds are a great business source to myself. I plan to sell to patients and extreme connoisseur's like myself. Share cuts, share other fruits and veggies from the garden and love life! Sending good vibes your way :)
