Si?if this is pro tekt i use it for heat stress about 3 times or less because i have found it helps to keep the quality of the buds up.excess heat indoors causes a fade in quality. Calmag & maxsea together provide everything your plants should need in the veg state. If you feel the need to use both rotate between the two,to much of any thing can lead to problems.for most of us diagnosing problems is an educated guess and best to avoid.Micros can be organic or inorganic the later doesn't need sugars to feed. I bubble a few teas for the last half of flowering with little or no sugars and they seem to add the life to my soil.As the saying goes keep it simple as you progress as a grower slowly add a few additives to your grow and see if they help or not.
so potassium is what is needed for bendy stems hah, but its in the fert so i wont think about it. and probably why that has not showed up in any thread iv seen.
chris.
thank you, well iv been happy with the micros/.maxse.. so ill just stop with the cal-mag. ( i was only using it once a week. but ill just stop. )
i found a good artical on how potassium is used by the plant.. sad thing is i understand it. eek
chris.
Maxsea is triple 16 it has plenty of the basic 3. I have found most of my problems have came from an absence of the micros so using one or the other dialed in to the correct amount is the most important part of feeding.
no i have not, i can not read a book right now.Did you ever read the ed Rosenthals book I linked. Better $20 spent than any bottle I have bought.
no i have not, i can not read a book right now.
my eyes are just getting to so i can read longer shit now hah but not to long or my eyes go all to shit..
when my eyes get here i can read a book ill get it.

We do some soil plants at work and never add calmag to the nutes....spray em 2 times in veg and once in early flower with a good spray down bottom and top of the leaves...im no expert but i find cal mag added to soil can cause issues itself!this is interesting cause I never used cal mag till the grow before last. but everything has changed for me I have moved house and let me tell you is hard house to grow in, changed soil ( I used to use a more complete soil but can be bit too hot for more exotic plants I have more control now) changed nutes to range that is same as dirt, changed tent size, and finally, changed to led from hps before that never used cal mag from memory there were a couple of grows I probably needed it but wasn't aware at time. when I started my c-99 first grow of my second coming was in rush saw problem with leaves but was rushed as girlfriend was sick and I misdiagnosed because didn't look proper thought bug problem. turned out calcium and magnesium so started magne cal after some research found led you need calcium and magnesium (cindy-99 especially needs more cal) but for the life of me cant find out for how long to supplement. and I also have to give double strength to what say on chart plus that grow I had to use all way through only way it would stay in check the 1 critical kush in there for company had it right at end couldn't cure her. please can anyone shed light on cal mag and led ive trawled net? oh ill send pic from phone have it already on indica pheno waiting for lights to come on so is in purple light I appoligize only pic I have at mo
As temperature in the root zone increases, the oxygen concentration of the water decreases.
hah, i was watering with the 20 percent rule until i was set strait on that.. my logic was it put air in etc ( at the time.. last time i watered i did it without 20 percent run off ).. however, it turns out not much oxygen is used that way compared to letting the plant get air from soil in my environment. so by just watering till comes out a little bit, my plants will get more air and in theory grow faster.. and as long you are using micros, and a basic fert i wont have a salt build up issue.
so much to learn, so many mistakes to make.
chris.
I don't know what you are talking about. The 20% runoff is neccesary to wash away excess buildup if you feed salts. It is unavoidable.
And if you feed correctly it can eliminate the need for leaching the pots.
well we see what ha
i think maybe i miss understood again. laughs.. i did say basic fert, so i dunno.
( have been reading up on this maxisea fert, its really good stuff., hah. i miss understood basic fert for cheap for some reason, hah.. i guess because it is compared to all them bottles for sale.. )
either way ill just have to drill a hole in the tent, and have a hose come out of it once i find a tote for inside.. regardless of how i water..
maybe water them this way 2 times then 20 percent run off once.. as you said the micros and soil alone should take care of the environment..
because im seeing something different all i did was give them there fluids. but i would have to see the behavior twice or more to know for sure..
anyhow, ill figure it out.,. they been growing find how i was doing it before i switched it up also..
so you know i will go back to 20 percent, and take one of the other plants and water it with little run off and see what happens.. ill use the smallest plant. since its a waste of space at this point anyhow i let it stretch to much.
i know i should listen but man i have to learn on my own sometimes. ( hah, damn i almost sound human.. you know someone with a curious mind. laughs.. )
thank you for the help.
chris.
