also the plants under the T5 are not stretching. seems t5 works killer for vegging.

all my little aliens with big heads were put tap root facing up, into solo cups. 25ml water, plastic bag filled with co2 .. ( a shot glass is more than enough water.. but i have one of them minds that needs more so if i was to use a shot glass id measure its volume anyhow hah. counter productive i know ) now we wait to see who is gonna pop its head up first.


the three affganis are growing it seems.. the 93 short bus Afghani is still riding the short bus, is still growing all kind of weird.. mini bonzi i think.

the one that was knocked over by clumsy people is alive. the fat bottom girl, err i mean my fat leaf Afghani is growing like mad. leafs to heavy for the angel it was growing at so i had to prop it up. if it was under the cob i could move it so it would grow strait again.. but this damn thing is growing its third set of leafs and the second set was just two much weight and it was leaning on the solo cup.. so yeah fixed that even tho i have enough wind blowing on them.

since im keeping this male around for kicks. i figure i should learn from it. so i started to think how would i do that. keep a mother. and a trained plant is not one of them. hah.. you be better off taking a clone. let it grow natural, top it a few times. make it bushy then remove the under growth and let it chill.

I work with what i have on hand tho, so i did my best
to clean him up so he would look good for his working girls. my male maybe a virgin, or a whore. time would have to fill us in on that part of his little world.



if i keep him around. the only light he will get is the light being thrown off by the T5. im sure id have to cut his roots back too.. also its best to do this on a healthy plant, laughs.. solo did not appreciate the cal-mag lock out plus man slaughter to her roots. hah

Plants love t5 lighting.

I swear my plants look greener and healthier than under the metal halide.

I also noticed plants bush out more under t5 lighting. I think its partially because there are 12 bulbs emitting light that penetrate the canopy at various angles.

that makes a lot of sense. i know they have grown out of my si fuck up.. some of the older leafs are showing little bits of the old leather looking leafs. check it out bro.. they love the T5..

Yeah, I've had that happen growing in clear containers, don't know if it's bad or not, the plant still grew fine. I didn't like the way it looked though so I stopped using clear containers. It is kind of cool to be able to see the roots grow though.

oh iv not seen any issues growing in a blue tinted cup.. solo proved that.

hey im not sure im the best for watching.. my afganis are all kind of fucking special. hah. the big leaf one looks like iv over watered it. its leafs are getting bigger and bigger.. its gonna be a fat bottom girl. i doubt ill ever see any kind of positive phototropism.. ( hey 76 keep throwing that info at me.. nugget here and there.. not to much i still have a lot of thinking to do.. can only focus on one subject for a while before my mind wonders to other shit to ponder. you rock sir. )

i wont lie this big leaf afgani is gonna be a learning curv if its leafs can not reach for the sky ( phototropism ) because they are to fat.. not sure if thats even possible.. but so far in the early stage that is what im seeing.

the short bus Afghani, is growing a new deformed leaf, so maybe it will grow out of its funk by its six set of leafs, id say nodes, but its not growing that way all the leafs seem to be growing from one node at this point ( the leafs look at fucked up,almost like si damage in some ways.. but im sure its just from the bacteria eating away the embryo while in the dirt when it grew tap root up.. i removed it but im sure the bacteria would of already had there dirty mitts in my plants leaf by then.. but the new leaf growing looks more normal so maybe it will grow.. its has spent all its time growing roots instead of up! sooner or later id think the fucker will start thinking hey we have roots time to get our phototropism on.... like is aid my afganis are all kind of special. hah.

update:

went to hope depot and got the rest of the stuff i need for my tent.
sunday my help is suppose to help me setup so i can feed/water inside the tent.


so i painted it with this rubber coating shit, hose, quick disconnect adapter, and misc.



watered and micros the new kids on the block.. leafs still show signs of my si fuck up.. hah.. but they are growing so what the hell and not stretching under the T5.. i like the T5 so far for vegging.. wish i had more space would be nice to have a larger tent ( im sure everyone thinks this way) hah.

i have to say my male is looking quite dapper.

after learning about phototropism, i have made sure to rotate my male every hour a few degrees. as it seems when a plant gets only partial light it spends it energy into producing a growth hormone (auxins) for the shaded part. which seems counter productive; you would think the fucker would spend its energy where the light is. however, i guess for all it knows it will never get light in the shaded part so it has no choice.. i dunno, im still learning about tropisms. my male is kicking ass in the ambient light off the t5.. so what the fuck.
( he has been stressed tested by me. hah )

you know the sad part of going through withdrawals on a public forum, i remember almost everything.. with out even having to go read it. sucks having a good memory sometimes.. you remember shit like my motorcycle accident every night. makes for shitty dreams and shit..

for example.. i read bad info early on that i should water my plant every time they are happy ( positive phototropism ) which lead to over watering, also i read you were not suppose to let a solo cup dry out. hah.. bad shit to read early on.. especially for someone who could not think for his self at that time.. hell still learning to do that now but you get my point..



no im not trying to white wash my fuck ups.. i just like to try and rationalize things, and how i fucked up so bad at the start is one of them things on my mind over the last day or two.

i flipped on mothers day, i doubt ill remember the 14th is mothers day.. but i will remember to switch to 50/50 food/bloom on the 28th.. funny how the fucking mind works.

also i will just say this up front. this is the first hobby where there is so much bad info to get started. i get it tho, so many variables, people find something that works and think its the only way, or do not consider it may not work in other environment.. or maybe the like fucking with peoples first grow.. ill just say it fucking sucks. so noobs do not give up, keep on moving forward you will figure out what works for your self!

That's crazy! If you bury it then it should root up for you. I've never planted mine taproot up. I know that's what everyone recomends though. I bet that ghan is gonna be smooth once it grows out. Seems like those first leaves are hyper sensitive to anything off. Once they take hold they seem to clean up. My spliffs started out weird, look at R's runt. That fucker was beautiful. You've coma a long way brolo. Keep up the search for growing bliss brotha!
