Ok, after some encouragement by @Captspaulding here is my only second ever grow (diary).
GG4 and Golden Leaf autos from ILGM, I know, I know but I hadn't read up on genetics then and I had 40% off from apotforpot from my first near disastrous (but huge learning and very enjoyable) mini grow. Anyway, I shall be choosing my seeds supplier better next time. Mephisto, Speedrun and NASC seem pretty good but open to any advice of course.

I'm using 2 gallon pots with apotforpots soil mix and flowering booster as that's what I did last time. I'm hoping with more reading and knowledge gained I might venture in to making my own but have gone with what I know for now. Any advice warmly welcomed.

They've been outside from about a week after sprouting and I move them round the garden chasing the sun. Then once sunset comes they get a bit extra, till lights out at 12.30am, under a 36W grow light in the garage, no tent. So looking about an 18/6 schedule give or take.

Here are the ladies currently, day 44 from germination They started flowering on days 26 (GL) and 29 (GG4) respectively and I gave them some flowering booster on days 36 and 44. Did some defoliation in last couple of weeks and am looking for any advice from those much knowledgeable than me.

I think they look pretty healthy at the moment so just going to let it ride.

Few qus:

1. Any more defoliation needed at the moment? I don't think so apart from maybe just keeping an eye on and removing the odd leaf here or there if blocking lower buds.

2. I think they have another month or more at least to go but let's see. Weather should be fine as I'm in SoCal.

3. Anything I've missed or would advise?

Welcome to to farm....

Looking good.....don't defoliate anymore....

There is plenty of light getting to everything on your plants.....leaf um be......

Main reasons for defoliating are -

Airflow and Light penetration.....there is plenty of both......

Keep us updated......

Update from earlier today. It's been bloody hot here all week so thirsty ladies. Same height but beginning to bulk up and out a little I'd say.
Gonna be well in to Nov before even think about doing anything else. Maybe one more feed for them this week, we'll see.

Realised hadn't updated this for a while (apologies all!) so these are from this morning (maybe not best pics but took rather quickly). 69 days in and I think we're beginning to get close.

The fade is on...I think?! Was worried it was nute burn or lock out but plants seem ok and smell delicious. Please do say if you think otherwise though.

All advice or critique wholeheartedly accepted. 🙂

Ok, so we had the Santa Ana winds come through a few days back aaaand...things didn't go so well. I even thought, I should probably not put them too close to the pool and then promptly forgot and did exactly that. 🙄

Walked out to check them and one (Golden Leaf) had disappeared, I was like WTF?!?! Thought someone had jumped the wall and nicked it at first but then out the corner of my eye I spied it at the other end of the pool floating away...oh bejesus! 😳

Fished her out and flushed her with some water and have let her dry in the luckily strong sun and breeze since so fingers crossed. Sadly the main cola was so sodden and heavy it keeled over and wasn't tape save-able (for an outdoor grow) so had to be chopped and is currently drying. The GG4 also got tipped over but not in the pool thank goodness.

Anyway, the GL actually seems ok I have to say and I'm just waiting for those amber trichonomes to show up on both soon as fading beautifully. GG4 has some lovely purple on the smaller leaves. Another week (lol) at least I think.

All good thanks man, hope you're well to.

They are looking and smelling pretty tasty and have really frosted and bulked up in the last week or so after seemingly having a week of just chilling. We're getting v close I think. GL a little ahead of the GG4 and I think saw a few amber trichonomes today (it can be hard to tell!) so will let them move along and keep an eye on them.

Fingers crossed! 🙂
