I’ll concur with this guy “let the plant tell you when it’s hungry” as long as you have your soil coverage down and dispersing evenly. When they droop (if everything else is proper) they are hungry. Some plants express this dramatically and others will only drop the tips. Figure out the plants actions toward feed time and smoke a bowl/joint while you take an hour to reflect on her signal and if it’s The signal. Once the commonality is found, that’s your deed single for that specific girl.

Roots supply the plant and equal the plant growth above, if you leave pockets, you may see some parts of the plant reacting differently or looking more healthy than other parts? Speculating because I don’t know soil but I’ll throw that in as a question.

"This guy"?? Ha! ;)

Yeah, of course "drooping" can happen for a few reasons, and quite often there's nothing wrong.......or there's an overreaction to it. That's why I think once you've got the watering thing down, thorough, moist everywhere, not soaked, letting the soil dry out betwern waterings doesn't mean let 95% of it get bone dry. There should still be some light moisture felt down many inches. All these things that find that sweet spot of balance. Not too anything.......yeah I don't know if dry soil pockets cause localized plant problems, but roots don't like it for too long, and if the pockets are bone dry, it's hard to water.......the soil is now so dry it repells water, water rolls over and around it, it doesn't soak up quickly. Like drizzling water over a hard dry sponge, it rolls right off. That's waiting too long to water.

once you've got that down, you can put that aside and focus on other things (if there's something wrong). There's plenty of lists and charts/pictures that show leaves and plants with every kind of nutrient deficiency. Match it up, then go light, see how it works, you can always add more in a few days.

I had dry pockets before, the water comes from the side of the pot, you just need to be patient and water slowly until its wet again, maybe water give it some minutes and water again. If its a small pot just let the water drop slowly after the first soak. Its definetely not good to ignore it.

Im assuming yes they can drink faster but that might stress them or make the nutrient uptake less efficient because they need more pure water without anything else. You know when you have your seedling and you cover it with half a plastic bottle? The principle is the same, lowering the burden on the roots (in this case the small, main root)

As long as they're dialed in fairly well. Outdoors there isn't much you can do, but between humidity/temp and light heat/distance, you've got good control. For most of us that could mean a dehumidifier or a/c. There are probably more humid areas.......depending on time of year too. The VPD thing should confirm what we already know or used to juggle more roughly.

Wow 30% humidity, Im guessing you choose strains used to low humidity like afghanis and so on? Otherwise and maybe even with that, I guess the yields suffer with such low moisture. Is not like that all year is it? I mean the bud looks fire but more humidity would probably give you more yield right?

I would think a little more would help. But in flower too much is bad. I guess I'll see. In the tent i have three trays of water, wicking humidifier, a bucket of water with a towel hanging above it. Then outside the tent I have two intake fans suspended over water and a fan blowing over a tray of water and into the tent to keep the lights on temp below 85, sometimes. Today I added two fabric pots in the tent, former homes of males, and soaked them to help.

What makes you think you need to feed? I'm not being facetious, I'm really asking. ;)

I think you got the whole watering thing down? Letting the soil dry out between waterings, water thoroughly but not soaked....?

Did we go over your light, it's power level, and diatance from your plants?

Wait when is this from....? What???

I think i have gnats in my brain...... ;)

Update : Little over a month from seed

I’ve been aggressively topping the Photos to maintain an even canopy, I feel like they’re growing too tall too fast , encouraging them to bulk while the others catch up. I have a trellis net, but I’m hesitant to lay it across due to watering/management difficulties as well as not really knowing wtf I’m doing.

How far out am I from making the switch do you guys think? It’s an 8 ft tent.

The autos are popping pistils ; they are 36 days from seed and I’m wondering when they will flower. I’m hoping soon.

Overall I’m pretty impressed with how it’s going , I just hope I’m setting them up for a successful flower. What do you guys think?
