I've ousted plants from my space to the great outdoors when I need the space to be evacuated for drying. If the weather is fair and it isn't too cold I would not hesitate to let a plant finish up outside. The plants are so hardened off and covered in resin by late flower I don't even think it stresses them much. If anything some cool nights and you'll get some beautiful fall colors.

Don't overthink. Drying and curing is definitely one of the most important steps to achieving high quality bud but it is by far the hardest. You've had great results with the cultivation part, I think you're golden. Biggest thing is avoid overdrying. Under-dried bud is a super easy fix as long as you keep mold away....overdried bud ain't good for much other than edibles.

Currently the daytime temps are too high. We are still above 100 close to 110 during the day. Will probably over 100 through October. That's what happened last couple years now. Just a steady constant high temp. Also spider mites scary me. I had some consume a sage bush few years back.

I put a portable ac unit trying to fight the temperature. It didn’t work for me. It made my hvac system wreak havoc. I didn’t change my house temperature on the hvac thermostat , the entire house was freezing, the tile was ice cold, the unit was running more often than it should almost constantly. The portable unit made a loud high pitched noise that still gives me nightmares. My grow room is right in front of one of the air filters and was sucking up that cooler air. It’s a trane and they have all kinds of sensors at the air handler, pan, and even the outside compressor housing. What ever it was had my house thermostat still saying it was 73 when the hydrometer which was correct had the temp in the 60s. Oh and I ended up with spider mites after which I suspect came from the exhaust ducting, or maybe Home Depot.

Shit...see? Lol. That terrifies me. Now I'm not going to home Depot unless I'm in-between grows....and secure the heat vent some how....But my grow room is isolated enough to prevent the portable from cooling any other room. I'm just going to get a cheapshit one from Amazon.

Oh damn you really are in the desert. Yeah high temps and dry air are spider mites city. Keep that shit locked inside. Lmao!

My environment is always pretty decent outside of winter. I feel blessed. Lol.

Week 6 let's go! I'm crazy excited (as usual) about what I'm seeing on my tent. Lots of orange hairs throughout the buds. Almost more orange than blonde at this point. Still more blonde though.

I have a runt I've never really shared much. I fucked her up a bit in veg by breaking a big chunk off like the day before the flip.

She was upset for several weeks but is finally looking like she is going to make a few decent buds.

I had to support several tops this last week so I've had to get clever about supports.
View attachment 2261835

I got some PVC to hold up one and bunch others tied to 12 ga wire.

In the perfume tent it's week 2 and still little seedlings. End of this week should start veg I think. I dunno.

Still blonde. I wait. I look at them so many times when I can. Waiting.

The sticky that I've read about, the stinky smells like such an orgasmicly delicious crisp weed smell that I realized does not wash off after a little defoliating of problem leaves in the morning before work. I could smell it on my fingers for most the day.

I'm making notes for my next grow. I will defoliate harder and lollipop cleaner in all mediums. I have ideas.

Buds are looking amazing @AZreefer I'm weeks behind you, but dreaming of the day mine look anywhere near this delicious. Possible 113* today. Stay cool and hydrated.

Looking amazing and following along now!! Bummer I missed a bunch but was an awesome read and keep up the great work!!

You mentioned fungus gnats, a good mix of diatomaceous earth and some water draw backs work wonders. I usually prep my soil with this and let me soil sit under the lights for 48 hours before planting. Since doing this, I don’t think I’ve seen a single gnat.

If you do, you can always sprinkle a mix on top of the dry top layer and mix it in and let it sit for a day or so before your next watering.

Thank you. I think I'm going to pick up some DE powder as I keep hearing this suggestion.

Moving into week 7

I have a glimpse of the difference the amendment makes for bud development. I'm very excited to smoke it and experience it.

Nature's living

Bud grower

Those are some tops that are looking mighty fine but distinctly different. Trichome production is different as well with nature's living being noticably more sparkling. They each have a different scent. Nature's living buds are smelling fruity and the bud growers is more classic weed smell. The tops of them are nice looking to me.

Nature's living

Bud grower

Those are a set of the 2nd level buds.

Going to be very awesome. These are the largest buds I've seen, probably the first organic weed I've had will be the freshest I've ever smoked so there is a bunch of firsts being experienced. Can be a bunch to process given the level in which I love my reefer. Very exciting times for me.

Perfume tent:

Day 14 of my auto show and I can't stop peeking. Long ass work days are limiting my gardening time in my big tent but the auto-show is going to be an always on extravaganza of excitement for my viewing pleasure. I'm not taking them off 24 hours of light and I'm not topping or actually going to do much to them. Just some simple LST to bend the branches. I think it will be a good show.

I had to start cal mag and raise the light a tad. When is preflower on an auto? These little things are so fast.

I feel like I should have topped these autos. They are growing so fast they are rubbing leaves all over themselves. Looks damaging. I started separating the lower limbs. They were intertwined pretty hard. Had to separate slowly. I staked the lowest limbs down and tied down the next ones in an attempt to spread.

They are so bushy for being so small! Growing so vigorously.

Man those look great. Are they 20days old now? The temptation to treat like photoperiods is understandable when autos grow like these, very healthy. Topping is just a choice, sure you'll get 2 more tops but it will or maybe not slow growth. If you can an have head room just watch how these grow out all naturally it's a good just to see them up close without much handling and they get very stiff quickly.

Yes just 20 days. And this is a learning expedition. Thanks for the reminder. It is all about watching them and learning before any technique might be applied. @Lockebox has some serious autos that he only LSTs and supercrops when needed. He produces. Im drawing inspiration from there.

Idk if you’d call them cheap but I use Canna coco bricks and would definitely recommend them

I pay 15$ for 40L expanded I think. Maybe not the cheapest but I love the stuff and don’t plan on switching

I'm starting week 8. Feels like I'm stuck at 2 weeks from now. 2 weeeeeeeks

So as I was watering this morning I got some pics of each plant as best I could and a close up of a nice top so I can sit and wait for 2 weeeeeeeeeeeeks. I have them numbered

Not very many amber trichomes yet. They are all cloudy so at least if there was some catastrophe I could cut them down and be able to smoke/eat it. That's a great feeling really. I'm very proud of this with it being the first.

That's the line up. So I wait. For 2 weeks. That's a drop in the bucket compared to what it took to get here though huh? So it's gonna fly by.

I can see plants 2, 6 and 7 are not eating their leaves as much as a few others. Those are also the plants that have the nature's living fertilizer with the coco. Is that feeding enough to prevent the leaves from being consumed by the plant? 3 of the plants are yellowing as the remaining fan leaves are being eaten and 3 are not.

Also I was pondering the flush. Since organic do not require a flush does that mean it's should be dried out for a week instead? Would that achieve the same thing maybe? Prevent the plant from taking up anymore nutes and make them eat what they have stored?

I'm also not sure when to stop with the feeding so I fed them all a round of booster and cal mag this morning. I am thinking maybe 1 more feeding of booster at the end of this week and water only in week 9 and 10?

Look into Bruce Bugby and his ideas on that, he does a lot of really in depth research on cannabis and has helped me underatand a few things and helped me get past a few growing myths.

One being "if you leave the plant in total darkness for 48 hours before harvest, the weed will be better", but actually having the lights ON the last 48 hours straight causes the plant to produce more trichomes because it uses light to convert thinga into terpenes and cannabinoids, probably stresses the plant too so definitely wanna be careful doing that if you arent totally sure of your plants genetics, dont want it goin hermie lol

But anyways, maybe hes got somethin for you on that subject lol i think flushing is to help remove the sugars from the buds and make the smoke less harsh, but im not sure how it works with organic grows...
