Dude I'm honestly more stoked about the Bacio cut. Some local skilled growers have been crushing that strain. A pheno-hunting dude on IG was asking $2k for a single Bacio cut like 6 months ago. Here's one of the grows I've seen of it in the last couple months:

There's a place that's actually probably not too far from you, since I'm north San Diego and you're OC right? Google Map Hidden Valley Clones/Hidden Valley Genetics. Or if you feel like making a road trip slide up in my DMs man we could probably collaborate.

I’ll take a look into that for sure. Either that or I need to pheno hunt and keep a mom. I’ve got a baby tent that would be perfect for a mom. A road trip may be correlated sooner or later. Appreciate that.

Yea that's my intention. I have two packs I'm going to do that with (pheno hunt and try to find a good mother) - the Bacio Gelato X Gushers (I think called Bombolone), and these guys:

And yea I believe Gushers Ind dom

Ladies are looking recovered and I just shut them off for 24 hours of dark leading into flower.

Worked on pulling a couple of the taller branches down a little to avoid running out of headspace - bout 5 mins till my fingers were sticking together :)

First peek after 24 hours of dark flipping them - they look so effin happy (minus the leaves I burnt with that effin feeding). Everyone is standing up pretty and praying for the lights...faith restored in this grow. I was trippin for a bit:

Hey @Aqua Man - you seem to be pretty handy with photoperiod/light intensity kind of knowledge. I know I'll want to get my lights cranked all the way up here in flower - but wondering if it's best to taper up the lights over the course of a few days after the 24hr dark period or what the general consensus there is.

Feels borderline disrespectful to just blast them full strength after several weeks of strongly dimmed 24/0 but I'm new here sooo...

Day 5 in flower

Everything looking gooood. Ladies keep darkening up and are looking happy. Gnats are coming back a bit but I have fresh earthworms and a nematode product someone here recommended on the way.

I love the Timber Daisies cause I'm running 6 different strains and the canopy is crazy irregular. I was able to spot hang lights and move shit around until I got a pretty even 65k lux on all the tops despite that.

The lights and the ladies:

Can see on the right side the spindly Fruity Pebbles OG's in the back - they were pretty bright yellow before the last dolomite lime topdress and flipping. Same with the sour diesels right in front of them.

Fruity Pebbles also stacking up nodes nicely in the stretch. I like the way it looks

The Ghost Breath OG's have become my favorite for what's going to make the nicest buds. Even beautiful leaf color, strong thick stalks and good node spacing. I managed not to fuck these up too bad:

Day 6 - Thinking about getting rid of the first layer of trellis to make the boxes easier to get to. Also thinking about swapping out the earthbox plastic mulch covers for some alfalfa. Anyone know if I can just buy some at the feed store or does it need to be organic pesticide free etc?

Kinda posting a lot of the same shit but they just look better and better every day:

Once the gnats are fully under control this will be beautiful.

Move the bottom one above the one in the middle. The stretch is real. Will probably need more support up top once they put on weight. Looking great.

Sweet man thanks for the advice. I had been thinking about just pulling out the bottom layer and ordering some plant yo-yos. I love the concept of trellis and for training the plants and all - but I'm finding that in my smaller grow tent with as much plant density as I have they end up being more of an obstruction than anything....but I guess thinking about it the yo-yo's might be even worse in that regard.

Hmmmm *takes another dab* let the overthinking begin.

Day 8 of flower:

Put a corn/alfalfa/barley SST in the boxes last night along with a little aloe, coconut water, agsil, and some beneficial bacteria. Then I watered in the nematode product recommended by homie earlier in the thread. This morning they look happy AF. Dark and bushy and praying.

I do think there's one Skywalker OG plant I'm going to lose. It's kind of hidden by the others so I didn't notice how bad off it looked until last night. I'll get some better pictures of it later.

Here's the happy ladies:

Day 12 of flower - some good and bad here

Had a heat wave come through and the tent got up over 100 briefly a couple times. One of the blackberry's just withered up...dunno if dead but it's def fucked off. One of the skywalkers has also been going through it and I didn't realize until a few days ago. Have been leaving it to see if it bounces back but it just looks worse and worse every day. Wondering if I should cut it or pull it to remove it from the environment?

Other than that everything looks amazing. The plants look healthier and happier every day pretty much/

And the flowers, when I zoom in I see sugar on all these and it makes me happy -

Ghost Breath OG:

Skywalker OG:

BlackBerry Kush:

Forbidden Fruit:

Sour Diesel:

Fruity Pebbles OG:

As for the fallen soldiers, here's the wilted blackberry:

and the dying Skywalker:

My buddy said to def let the Blackberry keep going cause it was wilted not dead, but that Skywalker looks supah-fucked right? Should I pull it?

So I've made some mistakes. I think I'll file these under "newbie ass lessons learned"

Lesson One - Heat, Photoperiod, light intensity and distance:

So after reading an article on light cycle in veg (https://themodern.farm/day-length-in-veg/) I decided to switch my plants from 18/6 to 24/0. The week I switched to 24/0 there was a heat wave and the plants started getting heat stressed which I interpreted as light burn (poss was a bit of both). So I pulled the lights up and turned them down and the plants seemed to thrive. Classic scenario of too many variables and too few controls - I left the lights that way thinking it was the only way to prevent light burn on 24/0 photoperiod and it resulted in some stretching which became apparent when I made my next mistake...

Lesson Two - Smacked them hoes all the way back (over trimming)

Then I went and read someone's guide on defoilating pre-flower (https://www.growweedeasy.com/nebulas-flowering-stage-defoliation-tutorial) and just trimmed the living shit out of my plants. This was exacerbated by the fact that I'm running too many plants so there's a lot of touching branches and shit I couldn't see until I started defoilating. As I went in on the sucker branches I ended up going a bit overboard and it became clear I hadn't been giving them enough light because the skywalkers are clearly stretched:

View attachment 989942View attachment 989943

Luckily after only three days they've bounced back remarkably:

View attachment 989944View attachment 989945

The mulch covers are lifted to dry out the topsoil a bit because of....

Lesson Three - FUCKING GNATS

This lesson is currently still under way. I'm being pwnd by gnats, feel free to follow along and have some enjoyment at the expense of my suffering on my other thread about it - https://www.thcfarmer.com/threads/my-fungus-gnats-dgaf-yo.114204/#post-2440417

Probably gonna flip this weekend. Decided I'm going to double up on the Corn SST to try and add some beefiness to the stalks. I'll be mixing that into an AACT I have brewing and I've given themback enough light to grow properly.

Thanks for anyone who's actually reading all this shit

I did total defoliate 21 days into the 12/12 period. These are them with 5 weeks still remaining
