So I've made some mistakes. I think I'll file these under "newbie ass lessons learned"
Lesson One - Heat, Photoperiod, light intensity and distance:
So after reading an article on light cycle in veg (
https://themodern.farm/day-length-in-veg/) I decided to switch my plants from 18/6 to 24/0. The week I switched to 24/0 there was a heat wave and the plants started getting heat stressed which I interpreted as light burn (poss was a bit of both). So I pulled the lights up and turned them down and the plants seemed to thrive. Classic scenario of too many variables and too few controls - I left the lights that way thinking it was the only way to prevent light burn on 24/0 photoperiod and it resulted in some stretching which became apparent when I made my next mistake...
Lesson Two - Smacked them hoes all the way back (over trimming)
Then I went and read someone's guide on defoilating pre-flower (
https://www.growweedeasy.com/nebulas-flowering-stage-defoliation-tutorial) and just trimmed the living shit out of my plants. This was exacerbated by the fact that I'm running too many plants so there's a lot of touching branches and shit I couldn't see until I started defoilating. As I went in on the sucker branches I ended up going a bit overboard and it became clear I hadn't been giving them enough light because the skywalkers are clearly stretched:

Luckily after only three days they've bounced back remarkably:

The mulch covers are lifted to dry out the topsoil a bit because of....
Lesson Three - FUCKING GNATS
This lesson is currently still under way. I'm being pwnd by gnats, feel free to follow along and have some enjoyment at the expense of my suffering on my other thread about it -

Probably gonna flip this weekend. Decided I'm going to double up on the Corn SST to try and add some beefiness to the stalks. I'll be mixing that into an AACT I have brewing and I've given themback enough light to grow properly.
Thanks for anyone who's actually reading all this shit
