I up potted them all to the 5 gallon smart pots this morning. I had to use a second set of hands and don't think I did any damage. Now with all the shit that has happened, I managed to have a sticker come off a 4pack of cuts no biggie right? well I also had and unlabeled 4 pack from... you guessed it my unknown mother. Most of the cuts will be gifted to the person who has helped.

C99 while being mutated early really turned it around. I wish I had waited to top her but live and learn. She is about 20" and getting close to that sideways from tip to tip. Critical Kush is shortest and has not been topped but is bushy as shit as well.

Now if I can decide what to do with them now. leave the some what untouched or try setting up a scrog? I plan to flip them to on the 10th as I had 3 people say let them root in the new pots at least that long.

I turned the 2nd light on today and used it to help me with room while transplanting. I started wondering which would give me a better harvest 2 lights at 450w each having 3 plants or 6 plants under just 1 600w I'm looking for opinions or studies, anyone?

Looking happy bro-ken. If it was me I would probably just run them as is with stakes or mater cages. What size is your space? I didn't get to read the first part of your log yet. I see people do really well with a 600 over 6-9 ladies. Check out @justiceman chronicles thread for example. I think the best thing we can do as new growers is k.i.s.s. As we gain skill and knowledge we can start to add advanced techniques to our grows.

The Flower room is roughly 8' x 7' x 7'6"

My thoughts on running both lights at 450w each was I could keep each one closer to the center of the light adding light penetration to the plants if not scroging or lollipop. It would also use the same amount of power as I am currently using in veg. But to keep the total power consumption closest to what I am at now I could also put them under the just the one 600w in the flower room and run the lamp in veg room at a lower setting and increase it as I go.

you need 4- 1000 watt hids to fill that area properly. 600 watt is 3x3 at 18" and 1000 watt is 4x4 and 24". I would start off with either 1- 630 watt cmh, or 2-315 watt cmh.. And if money is a thing, i would start with 1 315 cmh and add another one after this harvest... imo

I have not looked back into the thread yet either. Short on time haha but here goes! @incogneato

I think the general rule of thumb is about 40-60w of HPS per square foot. I run a 600w HPS in a 4x4 tent and sometimes I boost it to 660w with my digi ballast. With that I'm only at 37.5-41.25w per square foot but it works out pretty good probably because of the reflective tent walls. If I didn't have a tent then I'd reckon my 600 would only effectively cover 3x3 like good old EventHorizan said.

That being said do I think you would yield more under one 600w or two 450w lights? I'd say if you managed your canopy efficiently with a scrog or LST you could certainly yield more with the two 450s rather than the one 600w. I'm a believer that efficient flat canopy's which utilize all the available light are the true bringers of yield.

I still have not tried CMH out. I only hear excellent things about them though! @EventHorizan

If I were using the whole space that might be an option. But I am using a 4' x4' area. I could spread them out over a 4' x 8' with 3 under each light. The plants have been under just 1 600w in a spot of about 3.5' x 4' .

I still worry about electricity usage be detected and someone checking it out. Because of this is why I considered the 3 plants under 450w and then using the 3rd light at 300w over the cuts. I won't be buying anything new unless I do continue to grow.

I just checked my April usage and it is close to last years usage so I go with 2 600w overlapping. I can see what happens as far as usage. I'm currently using 600w x 18 hours = 10.8 kWh and have cuts under a couple T5.
IF I went with 3 plants directly under (where they receive most of the lights intensity) 450w 12 hours x 2 I get the same 10.8 kWh + 300w x 18hours = 5.4 kWh upping my usage by 50%. Now if I went with 2 600w in flower room 1200w x 12 hours = 14.4 kWh + 300w x 18 hours = 5.4 kWh in veg (until they are bigger) I get 19.8 kWh per day almost double my current usage. So if I multiply these numbers by 30 days 10.8 kWh x 30 = 324 kWh now vs 16.2 kWh = 486 kWh or 19.8 kWh x 30 = 594 kWh. My normal usage for the month of May is (without the grow) 1400-1700 kWh roughly an increase of 35% for lighting. Will it be noticed ? No way of knowing.

Sarcasm?

Thanks for the input from you both, Remember I'm still a Newbie and can be a bit paranoid. I also have not smoked since the 21st and the crooks took my stash. So I'm jealous.

About the only way the power company would report you is if you did some illegal hookup or didnt pay your bill. People open welding businesses and other types of shops in their garages every day and a busy shops electric bill can run thousands per month. As a matter of fact, thats the excuse alot of people use when they have an electrician come and hook up 240v boxes and outlets.

lmao! Prob not... Im hiding from females for 2 yrs! Lol... Im just about to finish up this first year. In this first year, i have bought me a house, and by next year it should be paid for. I will then buy another, and let this one pay for that one, while I make double payments from my job, and triple payments from my side job as an accountant .........................................
When i have both houses paid for, then I may poke my head out the door and see if there is anything worth destroying my life again over :)

Well new steel back door is in and the window are barred from the inside. Alarms on all windows upstairs and I think the cameras arrive tomorrow.

Today I connected the 2 600w end to end and rearranged my duct work. moved everything back closer which puts the area close to 4' x6'.

I'm slacking, I need to order my net I figured out how to hook it up with something I already have.
Being new to all this my brain can't understand how if I trim all my plants up and push them closer and into a net that equates to a larger harvest. My plants are farther apart right now and receiving more light to the complete plants now if they get wide enough to push out of the area I could see moving them closer and wrangling them in.

I'm sure I must be wrong so can someone please explain and educate me on the whole process.

The plants need me to get it together. 6 days till flip. I have to figure out what to prune. I would think the mostly sativa versus mostly indica should be done differently?

I have a 4x8 tent that has a zipper that needs fixed. I am going to use the frame around my grow to hook the net too. I am also considering cutting the tent up and using part of it like a shower curtain down one side of the grow maybe the short side too.

Always give pics for us retards that can visualize with just words...
Scrogging allows you to get more tops to the canopy. more tops equal more yield. there is a goldilox zone that is 15 to 24 inches from the light. Anything any closer will exhibit fox-tailing, and heat stress. Anything any further starts to get airy and less desirable. Potency, bud structure, bud density all takes a hit when your not in the goldilox zone... Weaving the branches in the net allows you to have a top in every square which equates to 7-15 grams per top... Does that clear it up for you????

To me the biggest advantage to doing as you suggest is the # of harvests you get per year,Big harvest, quick turn saves electricity & equipment ware

agreed! There are many advantages, and some disadvantages, but these are things that one has to experience on their own so they can start to understand the plant, its growth, stretch, etc....
I always just go for it... Im slightly fearless, or recklessly naive lol...

Ok Here are the Pictures
all plants are at least 24" and 4 of the 6 are going to stretch a bunch during flower as they are Sativa dominant.
All are in 5 Gallon pots and watered yesterday, in current form they take up 4' x 6' will be flipped by Wednesday.

Main stem on 4 have been topped but a few side branches are getting taller than center. Should I top these or spread them out in a net? Super crop?

I have a net that will be here Monday (wish it was here)
As usual ALL opinions welcome and feel free to start a conversation. I still have to do what I feel I can understand or am capable of.

Sorry brother! I been on a train. Rode in to the Lou, to watch my oldest get her diploma( Bachelors ).. And have me a steak dinner downtown... oh i hope my babies at home are gonna be fine,,, lord knows im gonna be broke after tonight :(

As for what you should do, i cant say...
im fearless... i just am...
so do i tell u what i would do,
or
do i tell u what you should do, like i know, what your ability to learn on the fly is...

Since i have no clue what your ability is, eventho i believe,
that you are prob a lil mental, but prob above intelligence, compared to the average joe, which these days isnt a lot!
anyway, i would (as in me ) would supercrop all the main branches half way between top and bottom... not side branches, just the single stem of each plant. and then i would put the scrog net in at the 1/2" above where i supercropped the plants at. Make sure that you supercrop all the plants at the exact same height.
so take you biggest plant, find the half way point, supercrop there, and all the others at the exact same height.
put net in. make some s hooks with metal coat hangers, and s hook the supercropped branches up to the net. In a few days they wont be needed as the branches will pick themselves up, and will want to push the net up... and just keep tucking everything that comes up til u have 75% of net filled. then flip to flower...
