Ok time for an Update
Today Blue Dream became my first true transplant. went from the 6" to a 5 gallon. I was going to go to a 3 gallon but once I saw the roots she had I wanted the extra room directly below. I also fimmed her and pruned the 1st two nodes. I also pruned the first 2 nodes on my "Unknown" .
I had mixed up a batch of soil for planting and had everything ready an rolled the cuts in Clonex and planted them and got them in a dome. I had also dropped 4 beans and 3 had sprouted to I put them in dirt and in the dome as well. The new beans were 3 Victory seeds Auto Parmesan and one Barney's CBD Critical Cure. 1 Parmesan has not shown a root yet.
Room stats stay about the same all day at 59% rh and 75 degrees
I went out today to pick up a free truck bed liner. I am going to cut it long ways taking the center and incorporate it into my grow table by giving it a 1" drop or so from end to end for my run off and maybe better air flow From beneath.
While out I had to grab something from the store and saw they had distilled water 87 cents a gallon. I picked up 5. It was a different brand from last time so out of curiosity I checked the water when I got home and it read 8,0 ph and 185 ppm. Is there something wrong there?
Sorry No pictures I was going to take some but my phone was upstairs and my blood pressure shot up to 193/94 so I decided not to make another trip up and down.
Thank for all the help. Have a good one
Distilled water should have a ppm of 0, I would accept optó a ppm of 10 with a pH of 7 neutral. Someone is selling tap water to you or you need two new meters :) , highly unlikely.
I agree, Kroger is the Big chain store here that I bought it from.(wonder what I can do about it) 0 ppm is what I was looking for and the only reason I bought it. I have great drinking water at home direct from a spring 7.0 ph and 100 ppm. But I figured with the distilled at 0 ppm I could add a little more additives for rooting.
Thank you for the kind words. I do a lot of reading and asking questions as well as downloading of youtube videos in the middle of the night.
If your ppm is at 100 I would say it's ok to use. My tap ppm is 560. Over 150 is ahhh questionable. O/R takes the guessing out of it. It is an investment of 200-300$ though.
I say it as I see it :)
If you have 100ppm tap water and there isn't any issues with it the plants will actually like it better than Ro or distilled water. I fill up a few buckets and let them sit out overnight to let the chlorine evaporate and my plants love it, my ppm is around 120.Our water has a pretty good amount of calcium and lime and tends to plug filters up quickly. reverse osmosis also does not work as well with cold water (mines 52-55 degrees year round) and RO does not work well on lower pressure systems and mine gets 60 psi at it max and goes down from there until it his 40psi causing the pump to kick on.
Very bad day.... But good roots, lets hope I didn't kill anything
I have 3 transplanted and took cuts from first (some 2nd) nodes of 5.
While making up the soil tonight for the cuts I checked the run off after me using 6.6ph water and it read 6.0 I'm guessing this may have something to do with the flaws in my plants. Not knowing for sure what to do and with cuts sitting in water I Guessed . I went with my straight tap water which has a ph of 7.0 from there on. Maybe they will live. How should I proceed? Are my yellowing leafs the beginning of lock out due to low ph? I have 2 more plants to transplant tomorrow. The roots are saying its time. (I think lol)
I also had the shakes while trying to fim the plants. It could be due to coming off the Seroquel or Xanax but I only have one more step and I will be off completely. I also fim my Blackberry OG by mistake thinking I had a different plant in front of me. I had read it was better to let a mostly Indica alone and not top it so that was the plan:opps:
Yes I'm nervous and anxiety is high. but for those that are paying attention here is the real reason for me having a bad day .
I got a call from my dad last night who is out of town asking me to do what only he will. I drove a nephew to his probation intake in one county then to court in another county and then to the bus station so he could return to another state where he has 2 court dates next week . I drop him off making it about 5 miles before my dad calls asking me to go back because my nephew needs another 20 for his bus ticket. Did I mention he is on Probation in a 3rd state as well and is not aloud at my house? So after driving around 8 hours with an addict who has stole about $15,000 from our family and many times that from others I went to my room because things needed to be done and my wife and son didn't deserve the mood I brought home.
Its tough to give up my time to someone who has stolen my things and never paid me back. Especially when he has did it repeatedly and thinks an apology should make it all good. His mom moved away so she wouldn't have to deal with it all. My dad is an enabler to the fullest extent. But I do what is right I do what my parents ask always.Sorry you had to go thought that. I always tell my kids "two wrongs don't make it right". Just because someone decides to be a dick doesn't mean we get to. Keep your head up and do the right thing no matter what.
Now the pH dropping. This could be several things. Soils can have a rainbow range of pH. Over half the soils in hydro shops have trace minerals to help new plants quickly grow these plants. The soil I use the run off is at 4.9 pH with 6.5 R/O. The yellow makes me think of Magnesium or Nitrogen, and that's an easy fix. A lite dose of Epsom salts 1/2 tsp a gallon (desolved) & some half strength N based nutrients you have. She should look better in 24 hours.

I'm pretty sure I have some epsom salts here unless the wife used it all in the bath last week. But How do I get the soils ph up so my plants can intake nutrients? The soil they have been in has been watered for a month which has raised it some and kept them alive. But now with these big pots It will take a long time to get enough water in it to bring up the PH ? Dolimite lime I have read will do it but I have to find out how to apply it. and how much?
I would like to add it to the 4 gallons of soil going into each pot I am mixing today.
@iKharon @DrMcSkunkins @rmoltis @jipp
Hope your having a great day
Dolimite lime is what I use. Read the instructions and understand them thoroughly before applying. Ppl also use wood ash as well.
I do have dolimite lime powder here I will have to see if it has any directions
My brain must be fried I forgot the Epsom salt and now I can't add water. Would a mix in a spray bottle help any?A lite dose of Epsom salts 1/2 tsp a gallon (desolved)
good luck with the pills. getting off anythingt big pharma seems to be a bitch.. hell i went blind in my left eye due to stress from withdrawals go figure.. so do not stress out. hah, i hate to see another blind farmer :D
The 2 plants farthest to the right have bottom leafs fading to yellow . I am hoping the new soil helps provide nutrients and not cause problems do to water. I mixed the water and soil until it just started holding together when I made a fist and broke apart when pushed a little.

Just caught this on my way to bed. Right now I wish I was in coco, but no I am in Someone else mixed soil comprised I think mostly of Fox Farms Ocean Forest. Thank you for your help.
Depression sucks and uncertainty seems to make it worse. Maybe my plants are Bipolar too
