Well I am still nervous about these plants not knowing if they are over or under watered in the new pots. Its not like I can use the lift the pot method with them in these larger pots. I have until Friday night to have them stabilized and then I will be gone for 4 days and have someone who can stop by once to check on them.
I think I botched my attempt at Fim and now have leaves are growing with just funky cut off leaf.
I swear I don't remember being this anxious over my own children.
hey at least you can reach your plants if you wanted too. i m not sure how im gonna take care of my plants as time goes on. shrugs.
hope you are having a great day.
chris.
looks fine bro! let her grow.. water the day you leave real good and they will be fine when you return..( as long as your temps and rh are decent!!!)Chris, Either getting a roomate or a wheel chair, walker or one of those scooters possibly could help. If I lived close I would come water them but we might both over water them. I like that can @DrMcSkunkins posted the link to.
DrMcSkunkins, Thanks for stopping in. As you can see I have moved them to bigger pots now to see if I survive the gamble. They didn't all look so great this morning but I must have made the right guesses. I wish I would have found better pics on the Fim technique I'm wondering now if I should top the plant right below on a couple rather than have the leaf deform (unless its normal)?
@BarnaGoat @EventHorizan @rmoltis @jumpincactus @Moto @justiceman @mandalaman If you have successfully used the FIM method can you give me some pointers. I could also use pointers or tips on judging when to water with these bigger pots I would appreciate it. Post here or in a conversation would be great too.
While I have a bunch of talent tagged I have FoxFarms Dirty Dozen, Dolomite lime (Seems to be low in my soil)
I have a bag of Bat guano, and Worm Casting. Is there a way to make a tea up from this? I have a bubbler and small stone. These plants have not had over 334ppm thus far and now in bigger pots and The plants being larger, What should I be feeding them next ?
One last thing what would you do with the plant in the last 2 pics I tried to FIM ?
I'm going to be out of town for a long weekend and don't want them to be in bad shape when I return
Thank You Everyone
I either worry in the morning or worry at night.. LOL Tonight I will sleep better
your exactly right!@EventHorizan that is like playing chess 5 moves ahead lol
brother i am not a soil grower... that is why i havent answered... i would google a feed chart for fox farm nutes...For you Physicians Stoners, Farmers and insomniacs who may read this...:)
The plants are looking fantastic. All praying with new growth. I have not given them water yet except when transplanted in to the 4 & 5 gallon pots. They will be watered tomorrow. Still torn on what I am going to give them, PHed water only or half strength nutes Tallest is 20" other are a little shorter but bushier. All are at least 6 weeks old. What would you Farmers give them if they were yours? How much water should a plant take in a pot that size if roots are taking up only 30 - 35% of soil. Educated guesses are great, I am looking for not solid answers.
I will be heading to Vegas Saturday morning and will not be back until Tuesday night. So I am leaning towards 1/2 strength nutes and then having them given just PHed water if needed Monday or Tuesday morning. I have been lucky so far with my watering but I now realize that even though I know they need water tomorrow I don't really know how much water. I have never watered them past a few drops run off in the smaller pots and those pots were full of roots.
Doing all I can before I leave because I know once I am gone there will be nothing I can do until midnight Tuesday.
Overall they look great the Blue Dream (tallest plant) might have an issue with something or it might be caused by growing fast. but the growth other than large dark green fan leafs is lighter than anything else in the grow. Any ideas?
In other News... First Cut has shown roots
Thank for your input.@Broken I'm in a 5 litre pot which is one below yours I think and what I do is I syringe in enough around the centre to get it wet where roots are after transplant then I water as normal to get 10 percent run off everywhere else and from what I have been told it encourages roots to source the water and I do it every 4-5 days when top looks dry and pot feels light. (I'm using biobizz allmix)
Nute wise I started with quarter strength on second week after transplant to see how my lady reacted and took it from there .
That's all I got to go on really (first time grower)
