not sure about outdoors but they work great indoors , i was actually thinking about using them to germinate fill the roll full of soil and drop the bean

Thinking of burying half of it in the soil to keep it sturdy. I've seen people germinate in them with good success and egg trays aswell haven't tried it though.I like these little hacks and tricks lol
