Mospeada my hat is off to you sir. This is one of the most professionally constructed hydroponics systems these eyes have ever seen. If you happen to reside where weed is legal, I will make bold to predict that your skills in this highly specialized method of growing, will earn you well into six figures, either as a year-round producer of top-grade cannabis, or as a hydroponics consultant
Thanks maybe one day and hopefully sooner for the first thing. We have a referendum coming up to legalise in NZ, it's on track to following a very similar path to Canada.

About to begin week 8. The Banner's are a mess and I've had to string them up. Next grow I'll be looking to implement the netting like I've done in the past. I don't think I could have been any sloppier getting this first run going. Set the bar low.

Beginning of week 3 for the veg room. Went a bit too hard with the chitosan. Had to flush the system and start over. Growth is still good and the kelps effect of stopping vertical growth seems to be working well.

Popped a new seed, Pink Kush. Used a chitosan soak. It popped in one day and grew an inch and a half day of tap root the next day. Put it in a rookwool cube and have it sitting with the mum plants.

Week 9 and the garden is getting pretty close to the end. It was a scrappy grow but I expected as much considering it was thrown together in a day. Looking forward implementing things like canopy management and improved plumbing.

It's getting to crunch time with the new clones. Thought I'd have a good week with them in the kelp bath but they're ready to transplant. Laid out the setup just have to plumb it and put the plants in.View attachment 1025141View attachment 1025142

What are the dimension of your veg and flower containers. I saw that you use 6 plant per container set up for vegging? Does that number of plants per container change during flowering. Also how do you adjust to the growth of the plants and their root system during vegging/flowering. E.g. do you change sizes of mesh net cups or adjust water levels in anyway?

I really like your setup and grow diary by the way. This weekend I am going to start my first indoor garden. I think DWC is right for me. I am going to use your setup as guide. So I might throw in a couple of more questions during the coming weeks if you don't mind.

Hey man thanks for the complement but just keep in mind I'm doing this in prohibition land. Which means no professional has stepped foot in my home. I pretty much have to do everything single thing myself. Just about to learn electrical so I can do my own wiring so if I don't come back Ive electrocuted myself lol.

In saying all that dwc is super fun and I'd welcome more people to try it. It's clean, it's no fuss and it's extremely low maintenance.

Right now Ive just finished setting up the main room again. Six pots four plants each, the system is around 1200 litres.

The last grow I just threw it all in and hoped for the best. This time round I'm actually going to put some effort into it.

Checked for leaks, they're good so tomorrow I just have to hang the lights and transfer the clones. Redid the plumbing, much better than before.

Still have a bad habit of neglecting my plants sometimes. These mother plants were put into 15l of solution. Not sure how long the buckets were empty, maybe a day but they lasted five weeks without any attention whatsoever.

Transplanted from the veg room to flower room. Lollipopped a bit, will give them a day before laying down the netting.

Used the cuttings to try rooting them straight into a kelp solution. Already it's been easier than rockwool/air cloner. These cuttings were taken ten hours ago and are still turgid without the use of a humidity dome. On average it takes me a week and a half minimum to root. Not too concerned about the speed but the if it works, I'd rate it as the easiest way to root clones. Set and forget.

Day 3 of flower. First layer was put down over two days. Will do an upper canopy scrog after the stretch finishes in week 3. Don't plan on doing much else. Started off with a base ppm of 1200, over 600 is calcium alone, about 150 of micro, 150 of P,K, 100 of Mg, about 100 of silica and the rest was the base of the filtered tap water, about 200. It will stay on this one feed for at least a month, may end up being a no res change grow like the last one.

Gave the plants a foliar of chitosan on day 4. Today is day 5 and they have bounced back well from the prune and scrogging.

"over 600 is calcium alone,

What are you adding and how much to arrive at 600 ppm?

Calcium Nitrate. Two cups dry weight measurement to 1200L. I am also using aminos as a chelator, this negates the excess Nitrogen. The 600 is the most I can go before I start seeing daily fluctuations in ppm in excess of 20+. Otherwise I would stick with around 200 if I wasn't using aminos.

Uhh so about my ppm levels...better provide the whole story. I added the calcium nitrate on day four a day after I finished the heavy pruning. Didn't realise how much they had drunk. Once I topped the system back to full using filtered tap water, the ppm was at 663.

It's day 8F in the garden and it's going well, might have to get the next layer down sooner.

How do you like the genetics for Banner thus far?
