I see there are coco growers active in threads why not look at there thread and ask if they can answer a few questions?
OK i found this feeding chart so let me run this by you guys.
Can i do this? Make a 5 gallon bucket batch using the boost, grow, and calmag. So if im using half strength or 1/4 strength i can use a 1/4 or half of that mixture along with regular PHd water......then PH the whole batch and use?
Isnt half strength what i want to feed at the max in both flower and veg? Also, it says PPM = 1000.....so when i make it and my PPM is off what do i add to it so that my PPM is close?? How do you measure EC? And should i follow the Feed, water, water schedule it recommends or feed at every watering?
And one last thing, 20% runoff....is "runoff" going to happen in smart pots? and how much are you guys actually watering during veg and flower? Does a 3gal pot = 3 gal of water in order to water it? Just so i can get a feel of how much to actually water. TIA...
Ill update some pics tomorrow.
Yes you can feed every water if you want that’s the great thing about coco you control your plants intake just as if it were hydro. but it’s very forgiving like soil so you can do every other it’s up to you and how much time you have if you want to mix nutrients every day and water you can if you want to go the easier way and do every other that works to. The veg stage can be very simple the plant will make it with minimal nutrients.should i go ahead and just feed every feeding until i see that...keeping at half strength until it stabilizes?
I looked around @Funk junky but didnt want to hijack a thread and shamelessly plug mine lmao.
Well one plant, when the lights are off, looks like it is overwatered. When the lights are on it looks ok. I think i will water/feed every other day. I know a lot of people say to water every day, but I just went about 1.5 days and it was still moist/wet toward the bottom of the pot. I dont think salt buildup and the exchanging of oxygen in the coir is going to be that detrimental if i wait an extra day.
Also, one of the plants looks clustered. The nodes arent evenly spaced apart....will this affect anything down the line? Yield, potency, etc etc??
Next time i prolly need to put more coir in the pots since the surface volume shrank significantly after i watered. I initially planted the seeds in dry coir (that was already mixed with perlite and PHd..just add to pot and plant).
Anyway here are the pics. Suggestions welcome.
What size are your pots? What size you think? 10 or 12 in ?
I’d say 10-10.53 gallon smart pots..
That’s what you want for your space. Keep everything tight. You can top now if you wantNo real major changes. Everything seems to be lookin good. I do have one question though.
IS the plant that has nodes so close together going to be a problem/is it defective?
Looks good. So how many weeks do you plan to veg? Not sure what you have for vertical room because they will stretch 2-3xs the size it is now.
