Hey man the setup is lookin great! And those are some yummy strains!!
You should see some of the rooms the farmers here have put together, fukin amazing! I think it was easypleasie with the super crazy porn palace grow room, that did it for me!
And Welcome to the farm, its an awesome place to be!
Also the holes are only in the bottom inch of the pot.
I want to thank everyone for contributing and following along with my journey. A little anti-climactic on the results but learned a ton in the process. My first leg of the trip is over but the journey continues :) I'll be running chow mix for the next couple runs to find keepers. I'll give the mpbs another go sometime around Winter...unless I change my mind (happens often) and try something else lol.
Alrighty, we have some final numbers. I got a lame ass pound per mpb girl with two lights on each girl.. It's actually more than I was expecting since the buds were so fluffy. I should have been able to pull 2+ (with 2 sides lit) if the plants were healthy. My white fire in chow mix came out to a little over 1.4 lbs...totally stoked and pleasantly surprised since it was my first run in chow mix. She's getting another run for sure and this time i'll give her a little more love.
Good luck to everyone giving the mpbs a try. The mpb rdwc system can work out great if you have the time and money to dial things in.
Hey easy congrats on making thru to the end of the run, I feel blessed to have pulled off my run given all the constraints and uncertainty. I've noticed there are a few people having problems with the mpb but more specifically it seems with the top feed and over watering. My first run I used 4x4 cubes, plain hydroton, top fed 24/7 and had great results. This run I started in the 6x6 cubes and hydroton, I also have a couple raskal ogs that I transplanted from soil to cocopot to mpb. I have a feeling the 6x6 cubes are too big for a 10" net pot, they simply hold too much moisture. I know dds believes he gets bigger plants from the 6" cubes, but I believe you can still get the same size plant with 4" cubes, it might just take a little longer to veg. I think the more air and space you can provide for root growth in the net pot the better. My early impressions of my cocopot mpb plants are not good. Though they are growing really well and vigorous the roots aren't nearly as white or healthy as my rockwool/hydroton plants. Heres my theory as to why.... I believe since the roots have to travel through the cocopot in order to access the reservoir they are at risk of being weakened as the cocopot naturally decomposes or rots if its being over watered or is sitting in water. I love the idea of cocopots but I dont think Ill be using them in my mpb in the future. Best of luck on the next run! Enjoy the white fire!
